I have caller ID but no number showed up. I pressed one to speak to a rep. I asked him what the company name was he said Warranty Services, I asked him for his phone number and he said we do not have that information. I then told him that I was on the No Call list and if I got another call I was going to contact The Federal Trade Commission. He then said okay and hung up.

Frustration, I get a call at least once a week

I get a jphone call just about every night on my home phone stating they are a warranty car service. All they ask is what kid of car I have. When I ask them for their name, they will not give it or the name of their company. Last night the person called me ( a female) and becasue I asked for her name and company, she called me a b@#% and hung up. I do not have caller -ID , but my friends at work do, and have also been harrassed by these people.  Please make them stop!

I keep receiving calls from warranty service center on my CELL phone I requested to be removed several times and they still keep calling. When I request information on their company they hang up.

This calls are eating up my minutes everytime they call i stay on the phone so i can speak to someone and have my number removed to no avail.

Heather of Soquel, CA February 25, 2009

I've received several computer generated calls on each of my 3 phone lines (all of which are registered on the DO NOT CALL registry and have been for years - - I have the confirmations to prove this.) You have to choose an option to get to an operator, who then collects the basics (year, make and model of your vehicle). Funny, they call me repeatedly to tell me this is the second and final opportunity to extend my vehicles warranty since it's about to expire, and they don't even know who I am or what car I drive. HELLO SCAM! - After several attempts at trying to get my numbers removed, I resorted to straight out honesty and asked for the company name and a phone number. They hung up on me.

Today when they called, I played along, acted interested. I asked what the name of the company was and they stated that the warranty was underwritten by Consumer Direct and provided me with a URL. So I said, So you work for CDW? to which I got a plain old NO, and nothing more. I got the pricing information and asked for a number to call back since I'd need to clear it with my husband. BAM! GOTCHA! When I called back, I was able to get the company name and address. Then I checked to see that my number was indeed verified on the DO NOT CALL registry and filed a complaint with them. Now, I'm doing so here.

Can't these people be stopped? This is such a scam and they do NOT respect people's wishes. As I understand it, this is illegal! The last time they called me and hung up, I got on the phone with my phone service provider, and they couldn't do anything to block the number since it was blocked and originated from a call center. They've called 4 times on my home office number and twice on my cell phone. I've asked to be removed from their call list 3 times and been hung up on. Enough already.

Frustration and annoyance.

These people are out of control. When I told him I didn't want to be called any more he just laughed. They just keep calling and harrashing people.

Driving me crazy
