About Chaiz

Chaiz helps connect consumers with an aftermarket extended auto warranty that fits their needs and budget. As an independent marketplace, Chaiz strives to make the process stress-free, allowing clients to compare quotes from third-party service contract providers. This method enables people to go through each quote in their own time without dealing with aggressive sales tactics.

Pros
  • 30-day money-back guarantee
  • Three levels of protection plans
  • Process is 100% online
  • Cancel at any time
Cons
  • No direct protection plans
  • Not available in California

What is Chaiz?

Chaiz is an independent marketplace that helps you find the right aftermarket warranty coverage for your vehicle. These protection plans provide coverage ranging from powertrain-only to comprehensive.

The process is 100% online, so you don’t have to deal with any phone calls or other stressful situations. Instead, you can compare multiple quotes online and go through them at your convenience. Once you’ve made your decision, you can purchase your coverage online through Chaiz.

Once you buy a protection plan, you have 30 days to change your mind. During this time, there’s a 100% money-back guarantee. In addition, there are no long-term contracts or commitments. You can cancel your service contract whenever you want to.

If something happens to your car and you need to file a claim, Chaiz makes it simple. Log in at any time to access your contract details, or contact your claims administrator for help with the claims process.

How does Chaiz work?

You’ll need to enter basic details into the company’s online form to see what coverage options are available. During this process, you’ll want to have your vehicle’s vehicle identification number and your current mileage. You’ll also be asked about your vehicle’s details, including the year, make and model.

Once you enter this information on the search tool, available plans pop up. For each quote, you can see the details at a glance. Then you can click on another tab to see the entire list of items covered under that company’s protection plan. This makes it simple to compare quotes. Once you know which works best and you’re ready to purchase coverage, you’re able to complete the process online.

Chaiz plans and coverage

The third-party providers Chaiz partners with offer three different tiers of protection plans:

  • Powertrain Protection: The powertrain is the most important part of the car. It includes the motor, transmission and drive axle. This plan only covers these parts. This protection plan is the most budget-friendly.
  • Powertrain Plus: This covers everything the basic Powertrain Protection plan covers, plus a bit extra. Often, this includes adjacent systems, such as steering, electrical and cooling. However, you’ll want to read the terms carefully — these contracts vary greatly from provider to provider.
  • Bumper-to-Bumper: This is the most comprehensive type of aftermarket warranty you can purchase. It typically covers all parts of the car, except for a list of exclusions. The exclusions are usually a car’s more consumable parts, such as tires, wiper blades and brake pads. Regular maintenance items, paint and lights also aren’t covered. Because this protection covers nearly everything, it's the most expensive.

Most protection plans also have benefits or perks. These may include:

  • Towing service
  • Flat tire repair
  • Lockout service
  • Jump-start service

How much does Chaiz cost?

As a marketplace, Chaiz offers third-party aftermarket warranties at various price points. The type of vehicle you drive, the number of miles on your car and the length of coverage affect the price, along with the type of plan you choose. You can expect to pay at least $40 monthly for a plan for a smaller car. Luxury vehicles, trucks and SUVs cost more to protect, with prices around $150 a month.

Chaiz FAQ

How do I file a claim with Chaiz?

If you need to file a claim, you can log in to the Chaiz website and find all the details about your contract. There you’ll find the contact information for your claims administrator, who can help you with this process.

What is Chaiz’s cancellation policy?

You can cancel your plan at any time.

Where is Chaiz available?

Chaiz is available in all states except California.

Does Chaiz cover used cars?

Chaiz works with providers that cover used cars. But keep in mind that service coverage details vary from provider to provider. If your car is too old or has too many miles, you may not be able to get coverage.

Does Chaiz let you customize your plan?

Chaiz lets you view multiple coverage options available from different providers. From these options, you can pick the one that best fits your needs. However, you can’t customize the plans.

Still have questions?

Is Chaiz legit?

Chaiz is a legitimate company that connects you with multiple service contract providers so you can find an aftermarket warranty within your budget. You can complete the entire process online, and you won’t experience high-pressure sales calls or annoying robocalls. If you’re in the market for extended coverage, Chaiz is worth considering. Keep in mind that Chaiz won’t be the direct administrator for your plan; read reviews of the plan provider and get multiple quotes before making a decision.

Was told I was given the "best" policy. I didn't care about the price. My car 2018 car needed a sensor and a catalytic converter... DENIED! A LOUSY $300 SENSOR was denied!!! My mechanic warned me. He said MOST of these companies do this. The consumer pays them, does everything right, but their contract language is convoluted. This is the reason they can no longer operate in California!! Most are half-legal scams! Just paying the policy, I have already paid for a sensor! So now that you've paid for a policy, you now need to take it to a lawyer to decipher it??

I asked for a list of all that it DOES NOT cover to be emailed, and never heard from the agent. Why can't each company just provide the consumer a complete list of EVERYTHING they DO NOT cover to eliminate surprises!? (For example: They say they cover Engines, but not certain parts or certain causes of engine failures). How hard is that? Just be FULLY TRANSPARENT like auto insurance! It's a SCAM! All these companies are the same what one has, the others do not...what one does not, the other does. So pick your poison.

Just signed up and the process couldn’t have been easier! Great prices and a very thorough explanation of the warranty process and benefits! I was hesitant at first about signing up because most car and truck extended warranties aren’t worth it but I found this one to be very reputable and will definitely be recommending it to family and friends! You won’t be disappointed with your choice!

Choosing Chaiz.com over the competitors for me was a no-brainer. They offer unlimited mileage and add-ons which include ride-share and for a vehicle that already has over 130k miles, their offer can't and won't be beat and for only $132 monthly! You be the judge. Thanks Chaiz.com.

After dealing with other warranty companies—constant sales pitches, pressure tactics, and difficulty getting real pricing—Chaiz was a breath of fresh air. They showed all the prices and coverage upfront with no pushy agents or annoying calls. I could compare plans and buy on my own terms in just minutes. Easily the simplest and most transparent warranty experience I’ve had.

I used Chaiz to buy a North American Auto Care exclusionary plan for my Sienna. I liked that I could browse options online without getting bombarded by phone calls. Being able to add Uber/Lyft and electronics coverage was a big deal for me. The paperwork matched what was shown on the site, and support answered my questions quickly. So far I feel confident I got solid coverage at a fair price.

Getting coverage for my vehicle through Chaiz was extremely easy and I was able to review the contact before purchasing which isn’t always the case with others. Very impressed thus far. The coverage seems affordable as well.

I spent days trying to find a warranty that I could purchase online without the hassle of talking to a agent that would pressure me into making a purchase. Chaiz seemed to be the only available company that allows you to shop, compare, and make a purchase all at once. I had a question. I called and someone called me back. It was a very easy streamline process and hope to purchase again in the future.
