Total loss refund is available, which means if your vehicle is declared a total loss, Route 66 Extended Warranty will refund the entire original service agreement premium. Route 66 Extended Warranty plans
There are three Route 66 Warranty plans available. Each includes 24-hour emergency roadside assistance:
- First Street: First Street is Route 66 Extended Warranty’s drivetrain coverage. It covers the engine, transmission and drive axle assembly. It also covers the cooling and electrical systems.
- Main Street: Main Street is an intermediate plan that covers everything in First Street, plus air conditioning, steering, brakes, cooling, fuel delivery and front suspension. Main Street also includes more comprehensive engine, electrical system and automatic transmission coverage.
- Easy Street: Easy Street is the plan closest to the bumper-to-bumper coverage you get on a car new car. It covers everything except specifically excluded items. Some excluded parts and services are oil, brake shoes, belts, tires, tuneup items, filters, exhaust and emission parts, glass and paint. Route 66 Warranty offers a rental car allowance with this plan.
If your vehicle needs repairs or service, there is no deductible. You can take your car to any repair shop, but it needs to contact Route 66 Warranty before starting any repairs. Claims can be filed online or by phone.

There are exclusions to Route 66 Warranty coverage. These include brake shoes, oil, hoses, tires, belts, tuneup items, air conditioning coolants, filters, exhaust/emission parts, cosmetic parts, body parts, paint and glass.

Most Route 66 Extended Warranty plans cost $1,250 or less, even for maximum coverage. It offers plans through financial institution partners; you can request a list of local financial institutions that offer Route 66 Extended Warranty plans online. All warranty plans are fully insured, and there's a 30-day money-back guarantee. If your vehicle is totaled and deemed a complete loss, Route 66 Extended Warranty will refund the whole plan premium amount if you've purchased that coverage.
