Premier Auto Protect is a direct provider — meaning it both sells and administers plans. Plans come with a 30-day money-back guarantee, 24/7 roadside assistance and rental car coverage. Support is available to customers 24 hours per day, every day of the year.
How does Premier Auto Protect work?
To get started with Premier Auto Protect, you request a free quote online or by calling. You need to provide details such as your vehicle’s year, make and model. Then you choose from four coverage plans.
When you need to make a claim, bring your vehicle to the repair facility or dealership of your choice and present your plan information. You can take your car or truck to any mechanic as long as they are ASE-certified.
Premier Auto Protect pays for the covered repairs, including parts and labor, directly over the phone with the dealership or repair facility. You just pay your deductible (if your plan has one). Premier may provide you with a free rental car while your vehicle is being repaired.

I had a great experience with this company. They handled my repairs quickly and it was great to have my car back so soon. I have had some bad experiences with warranty companies in the past, but the Premier Auto Protect customer service staff was very helpful and friendly. I was referred to Premier Auto Protect by a friend. I was hesitant at first and thought the price may be too good to be true. I gave them a call and was able to get a vehicle protection plan for a great price. I saved over $700 from what I was quoted at the dealership. Conducted pricing from several auto warranty companies, and decided to go with Premier Auto Warranty. Tom M. was very professional, no pressure sales, explained their product and different plans, provided discounts, and very easy to work with. Other companies I called were trying to make the make the same the same day and bashing other companies warranties stating theirs is the best out there. Tom was friendly, courteous, easy to work with and the fact that he respected me as a customer who is looking for pricing and comparison without expecting me to make a decision right there or the next day.
Followed up a couple of days after further review of 6 companies and decided to go with Premier Auto because of their pricing, coverage, maintenance plans included for the next 12 months, and the outstanding customer service provided by Tom M. What surprised me was the addition discount Tom M provided after going through the pricing and terms, for multi-vehicle coverage. Saving is savings. Premier was the only warranty site that corresponded with me by email. Other companies want a phone number to immediately call you to make a sale. There was no pressured phone call or salesmen pushing for a deal. I was able to get a quote and read a sample warranty before I chose to do business with Premier. Once I saw the info in my email I was able to write down questions and concerns and was prepared when I called. The process was so easy and I felt as if I was in control of the process. I got a great deal and could not be more satisfied.

Premier was about the same amount with other companies, and by the time we finished up, it was $10 cheaper a month. I asked the guy that talked to me questions and he told me the truth. I felt that he was being sincere and wanting to make sure that I got protected. And I went with him. I got the policy that takes care of everything from the bumper to the transmission. That’s what I needed. Because I love my car. If something happened to my car, I couldn't afford to put a down payment down for a new car because I can't afford the car payment. It was cheaper to get this because it has road assistance, too. It was cheaper to do this every month than it is a car payment. And I keep my car.

We took a trip to Arkansas in April 2023 prior to our trip we had a water pump leak that cost us 3 hundred dollars out of our pocket. While on the trip we experienced a wheel bearing failure that cost us 8 hundred dollars for a tow. Then an additional 3 thousand dollars in should have been covered multiple parts that Premier would not cover unless a representative inspected the damage. Even after Midas had sent pictures of damaged parts. Stay away from this company and maybe others. Can't be diligent enough not to be taken. Just read reviews!
To start, I was told when I got a hold of Customer Service that I didn't have the right acc. # and was told to call back the following week. I did have the right acc. #, so apparently he just didn't want to deal with me at that time. When I did get through to another #, they took my information and would give a call back. On the call back, there was no one on the line. This happened to the garage as well. Finally I was informed I could go to a website to fill out an application. After that it was at least a week of back and forth with garage before they came to an agreement. They did not believe I needed a water pump as well. What they did agree to pay, I am still waiting on that.
Although it took a month, they paid my claim. I am a very happy customer and I will purchase a Premier Auto warranty every time I buy a used car!!!!
I bought my truck in December. I purchased this extended warranty 30 days after my purchase. I took my truck to Ford after my check engine light came on in April. My vehicle has been at Ford waiting for the claim adjuster to make a decision since the beginning of April. I have been calling for the past two weeks and I have been hung up on or given a blanket statement that they will send a message to the adjuster. It is May 2 and I am still waiting for them to approve my claim. So far this experience is horrible and frustrating. The rental car they promised is not approved until after the claim is approved so I have had no car for over a month and still no decision.
I purchased my warranty with this Company in 2022. Last week was my 1st time having to use it. I called Premier prior to taking my vehicle to the repair shop, and stayed on hold for about an hour before the phone hung up. A rep called me back and I told him that I was needing to have my vehicle looked at by a repair facility and what I needed to do on my end. So the rep told me to take it to a licensed repair facility and have the repair facility call them. I took my vehicle to the repair facility on 4/19/23, the repair itself wasn’t going to take too long. I called the repair facility on 4/21/23 to get an update and the repair man said that he’s been waiting 2 days to get authorization from Premier to start on my vehicle. He stated that he’s called and emailed them numerous times since my vehicle has been in the shop.
It’s Tuesday, I called the repair facility today to get an update and was told that he’s still waiting to hear from Premier about the authorizations and payments. He also said that Premier asked for pics for the 2nd claim on Friday and he sent those the same day. Here it is still no response from Premier and I’m still without a vehicle. This is just UNACCEPTABLE. I’ve paid on time every single month since having this warranty and I cannot get an authorization from these people!!
I WILL NEVER, EVER RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYBODY. In fact, I’M GOING TO CANCEL THIS WARRANTY AND SEEK LEGAL COUNSEL REGARDING THIS SITUATION. As I’m writing this review, I’m on hold with Premier right now and have been on hold for more than 30 minutes and haven’t talked with anyone yet!! Premier, YOU ALL SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELF!! I’m heading to the repair facility now and I’m probably just going to have to pay the cost for the repairs because I have to have my vehicle so that I can get to several doctor appointments that I gave this week and next week, plus take my son back and forth to school because I’ve been paying a family member to take him ever since my vehicle has been in the repair facility.
Purchased the top auto warrant Premier offers. The first time I've used it and my 2017 GMC Yukon (70000 miles) has been in an top-rated ASE certified shop for four days for a failed starter motor. This repair should have taken 2 hours including testing. My vehicle has been at the shop for four days now! Premier keeps telling the shop to perform more test, when they jumped through all their hoops for the testing, then they want time to review the test findings? The next day the shop tries to get approval AGAIN, and after a full day, Premier now wants a picture of the starter in the vehicle????
My vehicle has now been in and out of the shop, and up and down off the lift 3 different times for these different request. Remember that shops are busy, they can't tie up a bay and lift for days waiting on an approval, so it's back out to the parking lot to wait for the approval. Meanwhile my favorite shop is saying, all this time and effort for a $350. starter job??? The electrical test verified the starter was bad, what does a picture of a starter do for the process? and why wasn't the picture asked for with the testing process.
We feel like this run-around process is done to deter you from using the warranty. What it's going to result in is my canceling the warranty. SO, if you buy the warranty... do like I did and choose the monthly payment plan. I could have paid it in full, but then if you cancel you have to fight to get the full refund. Now, I'll cancel and just stop the credit card withdrawal. GOOD LUCK!
