Delta Auto Protect cost

Delta Auto Protect’s extended auto warranties come at an affordable cost. Its pricing is usually about 2 cents per mile, but costs will vary depending on the car. The mileage, year, make and model of the car are all important factors in determining your price. Delta Auto Protect also offers price matching, so if you find a lower price from its competitors, you can let the company know so it can match it. Delta Auto Protect’s 24-month payment plans allow customers two years to pay off their extended auto warranties.

For the most accurate idea of how much a Delta Auto Protect extended auto warranty will cost, it’s best to call the company directly for a quote or submit the necessary information online at Delta Auto Protect’s website. One drawback to the company’s quote process is that quotes expire quickly, sometimes in just a few hours. This is not ideal for customers wishing to take a longer time to consider whether a quote and suggested plan are right for them.

Down payments vary according to the plan you select, but an average down payment is $100. Delta Auto Protect also has plans available with no deductible. This is a rare feature among extended auto warranty companies. Delta Auto Protect’s 30-day money-back guarantee lets customers cancel their extended auto warranty if they decide it’s not right for them. It’s only available if they haven’t yet made a claim, however.

Delta Auto Protect plans

  • Steering
  • 4x4/AWD
Diamond Premier
Diamond Premier is the highest level of coverage and is closest to exclusionary coverage.

  • Electrical
  • Drive axle
  • Brake system
  • Steering
  • 4x4/AWD
  • ABS brakes

Delta Auto Protect coverage

Delta Auto Protect is a direct extended auto warranty provider. Its extended auto warranties offer coverage for up to eight years and can cover vehicles up to 20 years old. The company does not, however, cover vehicles with over 140,000 miles.

Delta Auto Protect has solid reimbursement policies. Rental car reimbursement provides customers with up to $65 per day for up to four days. That’s a total of $260. Most other extended auto warranties only provide reimbursement of $30 a day, which cannot cover the cost of most rental cars.

Every Delta Auto Protect warranty includes emergency trip interruption insurance and 24/7/365 roadside assistance. This includes any issues you may have if you run out of gas, have a dead battery, need a locksmith or need your car towed to the nearest ASE-certified repair shop. All repairs must be performed by ASE-certified mechanics. Delta Auto Protect has ASE-certified representatives on staff to help facilitate discussions.

Delta Auto Protect FAQ

Does Delta Auto Protect sell warranties?

No, Delta Auto Protect is simply an administrator for vehicle service contracts. Other companies sell the warranties, and Delta Auto Protect handles the actual services guaranteed in them.

How much does Delta Auto Protect cost?

Like most auto warranty companies, Delta Auto Protect does not publicly post its pricing. Pricing for an auto warranty plan typically depends on several factors, such as the make, model and mileage of the vehicle.

What is the cancellation policy with Delta Auto Protect?

Delta Auto Protect provides a 30-day money-back guarantee. This can be invoked so long as you have not filed a claim in the first 30 days. If you have filed a claim, the refund will likely be prorated.

Still have questions?

Is Delta Auto Protect a good company?

Delta Auto Protect is well worth it if you're looking for a good deal on an extended auto warranty. The fact that it's a direct dealer means it's easier to submit claims and resolve disputes. Its price matching supports its already affordable prices, and deductible-free plans guarantee peace of mind when your car needs repairs. These unique features make Delta Auto Protect stand out among other extended auto warranty companies.

Purchased Diamond Premier contract in 2018. $5100 3 year 50K on a Bentley. Put my first claim in 2019.. took six months for them to eventually honor it.. if you get someone on the phone after waiting an hour on hold, you'll often get a message.. The check is going out on Friday or someone will call you back in 48 hours.. No call, No check.. this would go on for six months before finally I get a check.. Other claims were simply denied.. they would find a loop hole in the contract to weasel out of paying.. Finally my last claim in March of this year has gone unanswered.. they asked for documentation to be uploaded and that was the last communication, they don't answer phones, they don't reply to email etc.. It's a scam, they don't honor claims. They basically defrauded me out of my money..

I have two warranties with this company. One is on an F250 and the other is on an F350. A few months back the F250 was in the shop and the shop could not get ahold of them to discuss repairs. It was only after I copied Aaron on an email to my attorney that he called me back and promised that they would pay that day, as my vehicle was ready. They did not pay the shop for another month and a half; after I called again and demanded payment be made.

Now, my F350 is in the shop. It has been there for two weeks. The shop cannot get ahold of anyone at Delta Auto Protect. When I call I got "this number is out of service." I then emailed Aaron and he has not responded, it has been a week. I tried calling today, the first phone call was answered and immediately disconnected, the second time back I got a busy signal and the third time calling, I got music and was on hold for 53 minutes and then an automated recording came on for me to leave a message. I was in the middle of leaving a message when the call disconnected.

I am now turning this over to my attorney. I will get my vehicle repairs paid for or I will sue them for a breach of contract. This place is a joke. They make all kinds of promises and are really good to you until you pay and the 30 day refund period expires and then you can't get anyone on the phone.

Don't waste your time or money on this company.

Where do I start...these people keep you on hold for an hour and they hang up on you after holding for 30 minutes or more. I have been trying to get a refund since October 2019 and it is not March 2020. I sent the proper information but, when I made the original request, one of their agents purposely sent me a transfer form and not a refund form. I did not know the process and was unaware he sent the wrong form as I informed him I sold the car to a dealership and the warranty could not be transferred.

I waited a month and contacted them again only to be told they did not receive my notarized letter and they wanted a tracking number for the letter. I went back to the post office and received the information needed in January because I was told again in December they do not have the letter. I sent them information again on the notarized letter and the info from the post office about the verification the letter was sent...STILL-NO-REFUND. An agent even told me I would receive the refund at the end of January...NOTHING. I am still fighting to receive the refund owed to me for a car I no longer own and did not make any warranty claims on. I only had the warranty for 7 months. HORRIBLE COMPANY AND CUSTOMER SERVICE! So I purchased a DIAMOND PREMIER warranty policy from DAP in Oct 2018. I haven't had a claim until Jan 2020. So my car was brought to a Dealership in the town where it broke down. And now it has been sitting there coming up on a month. I call DAP every day while I'm at work and stay on hold from anywhere from 20 - 60 plus minutes for one of their rude employees to answer the phone. Then they answer like they're doing you a favor. Then they transfer you to a supposed supervisor line, to be put on hold for another 20-60 plus minutes, only to get hung up on, then I start all over again.

I've paid $2,400.00 for this so called protection. I've now been without a car now for almost a month now, if I rented a car I'd be out Thousands by now. THIS COMPANY IS A TOTAL SCAM!!! Terrible company. Their “F” rating by the BBB is well deserved. In Sep 2017, I bought a low mileage 2002 Ford Thunderbird from a friend of a friend, and the seller recommended I purchase a Vehicle Service Contract from Delta. On 12 Sep 2017 I bought a Diamond Premier Plan, from agent Keith **. In Dec 2019 the check-engine light illuminated, I took the car in to the shop, and gave the service manager the Delta service contract information. The car had only been driven about 5,000 miles by me, and all routine maintenance had been performed. Bottom line, the service manager and the shop owner said this is the worst company they had ever worked with.

Delta said an adjuster would be out in a day or two but never showed, they didn’t return calls, they would leave the shop on hold for 45 minutes to an hour, they would ask again and again for more information, they would say the information is under review or with a manager, and once they just hang up. I finally picked up the car after almost three weeks and paid $1200 for the exhaust system repair. I felt like they were trying to delay things so long that I had no choice but to just pay and get my car back. I then called Delta and had to leave a message, but no one ever called back. After a few days I finally spoke with a customer service representative who said the claim had been denied, but she didn’t have any details.

They do not intend to honor their contracts and will not pay for authorized repairs without a fight. If you have problems with them, call the PA AG's Bureau of Consumer Protection. My first claim was for a stretched Timing Chain. It took Delta over 3 weeks to make a decision and they ultimately denied my claim using specs from a different engine model (not the engine I had in my car) to justify their denial. Luckily the shop I used was willing to work with me and they provided the specs for my engine, which proved the need for the timing chain replacement. I opened a claim with the BBB and PA AG's Bureau of Consumer Protection. In addition, I sent Delta a letter informing them I intended to file for mediation, per our contract. It still took them about 6 months to reimburse me and when they did, it was only a partial reimbursement. How many people can leave their car in the shop for three weeks while they wait for a repair authorization?

The second repair was for bad motor mounts. We tried to get this added to the timing chain repair above but after reporting this to Delta's customer service reps (twice, while the vehicle was still in the shop), they ignored it and accused us of not requesting an inspection to verify this, so we took the car back to the shop. It took Delta over 2 weeks to authorize this repair, which they did after we told them we had filed another complaint with the PA AG's Office. Delta did not authorize enough money to pay for factory parts so we agreed to cover the additional cost so we could get the car back ASAP. About a month after we picked up the car, the auto shop called and said Delta failed to pay their portion of the repair bill; this is the portion they authorized paying prior to having the shop complete the repairs!

In the beginning, I had to call almost daily because Delta would change the rules and requirements, sometimes asking for information I had already sent them. Based on my last experience with them, I kept a call log. We have 72 phone calls dedicated to this one repair! In the end, it was the BBB, PA AG's Bureau of Consumer Protection and the letter I sent them informing them I intended to send this matter to mediation to finally get them to send a check to pay the portion of the repair they agreed to in the beginning.

As for rental cars, Delta will not authorize a car until they accept your claim and they will only authorize the rental car for the estimated time it takes your mechanic to repair the car. So if the repair can be completed in less than 8 hours, no car for you and no rental car for the protracted amount of time it takes Delta to approve of your claim. The rental car reimbursement is a scam and so is this company. I did get my money out of them (just barely) but it took an excessive amount of work to get them to honor the terms of their contract.

I looked up another number which they also will not answer and have attempted to reach someone by email. I have been advised by the State of PA that the company is being sued for operating a scam.

Original Review: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I purchased an auto warranty from Delta Auto Protect in January 2019. I filed a claim in April 2019, which was given a claim authorization number for payment. After the dealer and I both tried more times than I can count, they refused to pay the claim. We have been given a number of reasons why but the claim remains unpaid. In January 2020, I sent a letter to the Attorney General for the State of PA, the owner of Delta Auto Protect, Omega Vehicle Services, their customer service department, and a letter to their cancellation department to cancel my subscription, which I can do according to the contract.

On the date I emailed the letter, January 14, 2020, I received a call within a couple hours that the claim would be paid by end of January and that the person that called me would send me his contact information. I never received it. I have not received confirmation of the payment. I also have not received acknowledgement of the cancellation notice. The attorney general's office emailed me they had received my complaint and would give the company 21 days to respond. However, they could not force them to make good on their contract, that would have to be done through mediation or other legal action. Please do not use this company or you will regret it. I only used them because our local news channel listed them as a reliable company. My advice is to do your own thorough research of any company you're giving a large amount of money to. If you use this company, you will be sorry!

You call them, and you are on hold from 45 minutes to an hour minimum. Very sorry I used this warranty company.

The worst company EVER. You can be on hold for an hour and still not get your claim paid. I was told that my claim would be paid to the repair shop and that has NEVER happened. This company is a joke! Complete misrepresentation of what I was told when I purchased the policy. I have 2 policies and would not recommend this company EVER!! Any claim that I have made has been a complete nightmare. I will be calling the Attorney General. This is probably my 10th email about a claim from September that I have been trying to get paid. Ridiculous!!!
