Getting told that it will be Processed within the week and it has yet to Occur. When I requested the number to call directly I was told they were not allowed to give it to me. Nor could they get a supervisor that I could speak to. When I asked for an email confirmation of my cancellation I was told “we don’t do that.“

My complete experience was horrible, terrible and horrendous in every way. They were very useless and extremely unprofessional In every way. The process took literally months and I'm still waiting and I received the runaround several times. They were very unhelpful with the teardown process as well as the company doing the teardown process. There was an inspector sent out and he did not inspect it properly, so then it had to be reinspected. As he made notes about useless things that didn't matter about the vehicle. So I had to communicate with them, and the business. They had the vehicle back-and-forth in the business that had vehicle told me to contact them. And they told me to contact the business. And this went on for several days. It was extremely tiring. i

This company sent me a letter after my lease ended stating an "Immediate Response to this Notice is Required". I thought it was from my car's manufacturer, so I actually purchased coverage. Almost immediately realized it was no the manufacturer and was totally unnecessary. Needless to say, trying to cancel the coverage was a pain. Well 4 years went by and I got another statement from these guys for the same vehicle, which I no longer own, telling me my warranty was going to expire. I called again just to mess with them. As soon I mentioned not owning the vehicle, the guy said "I don't need your spiel. I'll just take you off the list." The hypocrisy was not lost on me. The fact this company still exists several years later is crazy. It's obviously a scam and the people that work there even know it.

They talked all nice to me but weren’t there when I needed them. They are thieves of the highest degree.

After purchasing two warranties I wrote a glowing 5 star review, and then realized this company is a scam. They take your money and never answer the phone again. I have not been able to use the warranty at all. They are scammers and I can't understand why they're not in jail. Actual criminals. This is a criminal enterprise and they stole about $3500 from me, and apparently there's nothing I can do about it. The authorities don't care. Someone might just show up looking for these guys and they aren't going to like it very much.

We came to Consumer Reports to find a extended auto service warranty for our Audi. Consumer Affairs listed American First as one that they recommended. We based a lot of our decision on what Consumer Affairs said. We paid for the extended warranty upfront and when we went to use it no one answered the phone number listed. Their website was taken down. Our emails bounced when we tried to contact the sales representative we worked with. The company took our money and disappeared. We were totally and completely ripped off and Consumer Affairs is a accomplice as apparently if you pay them money they will green light your company and help innocent people get ripped off.

I purchased a 3-year/150000 mile extended warranty for $2472 to cover my 2014 Audi in August 2021. I tried to call to file a claim in November 2022 and the phone number has been disconnected, their website was taken down, emails bounce and their supposed address does not exist. Additionally, a short time after purchasing the extended warranty they w/o my authorization charged my card for another $940. I disputed that charge with CitiCard and had that reversed. Citicard to date is giving me the run-around regarding the initial charge because they are saying too much time has passed from the initial purchase but how would I know they were corrupt until I tried to use the policy?? Total crooks and criminals!

I was told that the warranty is cancelable at any time. Well can't get ahold of anyone and I can't get my money back. I spent over 2,000 dollars and only put 4,000 miles on my car so I didn't use very much of my warranty. I should be able to get back at the very least 1,500 dollars or so. I also sent one of my co-workers their information he purchased their warranty and he to can not get his money back because he sold his car. VERY BAD COMPANY. DO NOT PURCHASE. After purchasing the auto warranty in May I went to use it July after having a parking brake Issue. The dealership explained the situation and the warranty company canceled the inspector and said it was impossible that this was not a pre-existing issue. After proving that the car was in the shop 45 days prior for a warranty covered issue and yearly maintenance and this issue did not occur.
I have since July 1 placed 15 calls. The claims agents Extension 118 is always busy, not accepting calls and can't leave voicemails and the salesman Barry is no longer with the company. I wanted to provide proof that this was not a pre-existing issue. I also tried Colin and wrote a email and requested a refund after not hearing or receiving any call back or responses. This company has the worst customer service I have ever seen. STAY AWAY. All they want is to take your money and after they have it you can't get ahold of them on any extension but if you go to buy a warranty they will absolutely call you in less than 4 hours.

March 4, 2022, I purchased a Platinum “bumper to bumper” warranty for my 2015 Audi A6 TDI from American First Auto Protect’s Barry ** for $3,000.00 which was to begin April 4, 2022. April 18th I received an e-mail from a Colin ** with an attachment entitled; American First Auto Protect Contract – Platinum.pdf entitled Service Agreement.
May 6th 2022 I brought my Audi A6 to Audi dealership for service and repair of the MMI pop up screen which went black and displayed no information. I left the Service Technician a note with the claim assistance phone number of AmericanFirst Auto Protect (AFAP) to discuss the repairs needed and the coverage. The Service Technician at Audi of Mendham called AFAP “at least 8-10 times” and the call would go to a voice mail service and he couldn’t leave a voice mail, “the mailbox was full”. He later sent me an e-mail describing his attempts to reach AFAP which I have attached. The estimate to repair the MMI screen was $1,103.91 plus tax.
On May 7, 2022 I placed a call to Barry ** who was to be my personal contact at AFAP, and a man named Eric ** picked up the phone. As I inquired into the ability to place a claim he began to get insulting and I asked to speak with someone else. Eric passed the phone to Colin ** to which I told my story of Audi dealership trying to submit a claim and we tried to call Audi together on a conference caIl but the technician was not there (I think this was a Saturday). I further informed Colin that I was dissatisfied with their operation of their business, thought their entire business was a scam and I wanted my money back. He assured me he was going to call Audi the following week. Audi received no calls for AFAP and I had not heard back from Colin **.
When I purchased the AFAP warranty I was specifically told that a claim cannot be made for a period of one month from the date of the warranty contract. This is not for the immediate coverage of existing necessary repairs but more for the Visa and Master Card Fraud claims limit of 1 month from purchase that the MC or V will not cover fraud claims.
The AFAP agreement states that claims must be initiated by the person purchasing the warranty, not by the repair facility that is going to perform the repairs and that AFAP must give authorization for the repairs prior to any repair being done. Every other extended warranty I had on a car, the dealership or repair shop worked directly with the warranty company. How am I supposed to know what needs to be repaired better than the service technicians at the dealership. This business is scam. Do Not buy from them.

Updated on 08/10/2022: Update: Now the guy who I spoke with me is filling out auto and home warranties request on my behalf as well now. I've received about 6 calls this morning that I answered and they are using different cars to enroll me now. AZAG is opening investigation on them. I call and spoke with my case worker. Avoid them!! Scam is they will take your money, they will try to get you to pay the entire policy if possible and even though you follow all their guidelines awaiting the 30 days 1000 miles they will deny your claim claiming everything is preexisting also miles don't matter them. Everything is preexisting. I know people that have lost thousands Everyone vigilant. I have a question for Trustpolit how much vetting do you do to these new companies to protect consumers a little better?
Original Review: (Extended warranty) So I bought a used Discovery sport and I ended finding this company online because the current company I had was too expensive for a Land Rover. I've only own the vehicle 1.5 month. The car had 66000 miles when I bought car. I send miles to American First and they said they could cover my car. They wanted me to pay for the entire policy but I don't do that for good reason. So I ask if they had a payment plan he stated yes. So I paid $500 with $80a month. Also waiting period of 1000 miles and a 30 day waiting period on top of that. My last day to wait was the 25th of May. I've had no problems with the vehicle till about a week ago. Notice it was low on coolant. No leak detected the first day, so I filled it up.
On the 3rd day I noticed coolant on my driveway SO I took a look and found leak coming from radiator. I called American First to let them know and the guy states to just take car to my preferred mechanic and they can work with them, So I do. Now today they still have not approved my repairs and I need my car. I've been on hold with them for about 1.5 hours today just waiting on them to tell me what the hold up is. Also they charged twice in one month on top of this. This company is charging me twice a month and not approving my repairs. Not sure what is going on. I have a feeling they are trying to deny my claim. Why does it take a week to approve a claim. They say it takes 24 hours but they have it since last week on Wednesday. I'm still on hold reaching 2 hours! Case number is ** at BBB.
UPDATE!! They never came back to the phone. Left me on hold for 3 hours. Great Customer service!! Update. So I was right. They denied my claim and called preexisting? Also they got on the phone screaming that I was being inconsiderate. So I yelled back. What a prick! Come to find out it was a welding joint that had broken and they call that preexisting. Buyer Beware and look at their BBB rating. It's an FFFFFF. If I can save someone some money I hope this helps. They don't pay claims. They put them as preexisting even if you just bought the car 2 days prior to adding warranty.

These people will straight out lie to you. Salesman Colin sold me a policy, I cancelled it after I saw the contract contained so many spelling and grammatical errors that there is no way someone who spoke English wrote it. I couldn't believe a company would actually give this to a potential customer to review. Colin said the full refund would be processed within 3-5 business days, it has now been 7 business days and no refund still. I have been on hold with accounting for over 25 minutes now.

Today, I received my credit card statement to learn that American First had unexpectedly charged my card on May 12, 2022 an UNAUTHORIZED $999. Seems, according to reviews on YELP, unauthorized charging of customers is a SOP by American First. Curiously, in New York state the amount of fraud required for grand larceny is >$1,000. Coincidence? I suspect not.
