The Powertrain plan should be sufficient if you want basic coverage for major vehicle components, such as the engine. The other three plans — Bronze, Silver and  Gold — cover additional parts, such as steering and brakes. Gold Standard Automotive coverage limits

When you need repairs to your vehicle, Gold Standard approves amounts based on the liability limits outlined in your contract. The company doesn’t provide sample contracts on its website, so check with your dealership for more information.

If you have the Gold plan, the total value of paid claims cannot exceed your car’s retail value through the National Automobile Dealers Association at the time of repairs.

There’s a waiting period before you can start receiving coverage if you purchase a one- or two-year contract. Gold Standard offers immediate coverage if you purchase a contract between three and five years.

    Company is very strict on the required prior authorization clause, very quick to deny claim. Since claims department doesn’t open until 8 am Mountain time, (10 am Eastern), you are stuck when taking vehicle in at 7:30 Eastern for a needed repair that will take all day in order to get your car back on time. Submitted my claim for emergency brake and caliper damage repair and of course the claim denied since I couldn’t get immediate “authorization” due to the company’s late claim department opening. I tried to plead my case, but was unsuccessful. Obviously not happy. They did pay a couple previous claims, but certainly didn’t cover a whole lot.

    Do not waste your money on this! Please! They find every reason not to cover items. Customer Service is terrible. I will never buy anything through Gold Standard again. Buyer Beware! They do not try to help or figure out what is covered.

      I purchased extended coverage on my 2019 Lincoln Nautilus. Transmission failed and they want to repair my car with a USED transmission. When asked if the transmission they want to repair my car with has been tested to ensure proper function, they advised me that this is not their responsibility. I would have to pay the dealership out of pocket to check and make sure the USED transmission operates properly. After questioning this, they told me that they could put the amount of the USED transmission toward the cost of a reman transmission (which is what they should pay for), but I am responsible for the cost difference out of pocket! They also will not cover many other items that are needed to replace the transmission ($1500 worth). Moral of this story-DO NOT BUY THIS WARRANTY unless you are ok with USED, NON TESTED PARTS to repair your vehicle. I would give 0 stars if that was an option.

      I purchased a Gold Standard warranty because I bought a used vehicle. Well I need a new transmission and the warranty company only is approving a used transmission or 1300 towards a new one. So the Nissan dealership won't warranty a used one and neither will Gold Standard and Gold Standard won't pay for the nuts and bolts. This company is a rip off and they don't care about the customer!

      Definitely not worth your hard earned money! This warranty is crap! Everything about it sucks. The reps that take the claims are so defensive and try to find every little reason why they SHOULDN'T cover your claim! Buyer beware!!!! Do not waste your money! I would submit zero stars but it will not let you.

      Seriously a rip off!!!! You basically should get your car inspected every day. They'll cover this IF that isn't torn. My car has been maintained very well. There is no reason to deny coverage. $4K RIP OFF.

      I purchased the highest package they offer, I read everything and was happy with what was offered. When the time came to place a claim they denied the claim saying the auto shop said it was caused by rock damage. I talked to the shop and they had a different story. They said they could not confirm the damage but that it was a small leak. Gold Standard Automotive Network claims adjuster Rod lied about the damage and denied the claim. They refuse to look at the claim again without pictures. The problem being that the part is in a tight area and you can't get pictures without starting work on it, yet Gold Standard Automotive Network will automatically deny the claim if we start work. See the pickle we're in? They are a frustrating company to work with, I would stay far away from them even with how good the dealer makes them sound.

      There was a slight misunderstanding about the contract details and how the details were communicated. The staff helped me through the process and I was compensated for the mechanical and maintenance of my vehicle. The staff were very helpful and understanding.

      I had a terrible experience with Gold Standard Automotive Networks vehicle's mechanical warranty. Initially, I spoke with a staff member who assured me that I could go ahead and get the necessary repairs done. Trusting their advice, I proceeded with the repairs, only to later receive a message from the company stating that all repairs need to be pre-approved. The employee either lied or was misinformed. I'm curious how often this happens, saving them from honoring the compensation. This complete lack of communication, inconsistency and dishonesty at this company beyond frustrating and highlights the fact insurance and warranty companies can not be trusted. I’m now left dealing with unexpected costs, all because I was misinformed and lied to by their own employee. The whole process has been a waste of time and money, and I would not recommend this company or warranty to anyone.

      Bought a truck from J-Linn Motors in Clearwater, FL on 10/24/24 and the transmission blew on 1/31/25 before one payment could be made on the truck. The coverage was only for $400 for a new transmission and $400 for labor. That could not be bought and installed anywhere for that price. DO NOT BUY!!!! They don't cover what they say they will. BUYER BEWARE.
