Concord Auto Protect plans

Concord Auto Protect offers three plans: Premium, Advanced and Powertrain. The Premium plan is its most comprehensive extended auto warranty. The Powertrain plan offers basic coverage, plus additional benefits like rental car reimbursement and roadside assistance. The Advanced plan’s coverage is in between the two. Some Concord Auto Protect plans have no deductible.

Powertrain
Powertrain plans cover the following six items:
  • Engine
  • Transmission
  • Drive axle(s)
  • Electrical system
  • Cooling system
  • Brakes
Advanced
Advanced plans cover everything in the Powertrain plan and add coverage for:
  • AWD/4x4 components
  • Steering components
Premium
Premium plans cover everything in the previous two tiers and add coverage for:
  • Heating components
  • AC components
  • Fuel system
  • Anti-lock brake system
  • High-tech electronics
  • Turbo/supercharger
  • Front and rear suspension

Concord Auto Protect coverage

Concord Auto Protect only covers repairs made at ASE-certified facilities, but if the repair is authorized, you only have to pay your deductible. All Concord Auto Protect plans also come with the following benefits:

  • 24/7 roadside assistance
  • Trip interruption insurance
  • Dead battery service
  • Towing
  • Locksmith service
  • Rental car reimbursement

Plans are generally for three to five years, which is a standard length for an extended auto warranty. One benefit of Concord Auto Protect is that its plans are transferable, so you can sell your vehicle but maintain its coverage under the new owner. Customer service is available 24/7 to answer your questions.

Concord Auto Protect prices

Prices are not listed on Concord Auto Protect’s website, but this is a common practice among extended auto warranty companies. In general, extended auto warranties cost between $350 and $1,000 per year of coverage. If you want an exact price, get a free quote directly from Concord Auto Protect. All you have to do is provide your contact information and some details about your vehicle.

You can also cancel your plan and get a full refund within your first month of service thanks to Concord Auto Protect’s 30-day, money-back guarantee. The only catch is that you can’t have filed any claims during the period.

We renewed our warranty in 2024 and shortly after the company "disappeared". All attempts to contact them phone, email, FedEx registered mail were all unsuccessful. We lost $1700 on a warranty that is useless. We reported them to the Attorney General's office in PA in 2025 but nothing has come of the complaint.

No refunds, no reimbursements, nothing after giving them almost 4k for a policy that wouldn't even send $100 for bonus tire coverage. Can’t give a zero but they are a zero! Crooks and con-artists; everyone of them! Hope they all get their due justice! Had 3 new premium policies and car 1 was totaled by a tree during a storm. The policy was in effect for 6 months and I canceled it. I was told I would receive a pro-rated refund within 5-7 business days. They never sent it but they lied saying it was sent, would be sent in 5 days, they would transfer me to the crooked CEOs phone which he never answered nor would anyone ever get back to you.

On vehicle 2, check engine light came on and the car was diagnosed at my dealership as needing a major repair, which under my policy should have been 100% covered as my policy had no deductibles. They denied my claim without ever even asking to see my maintenance records, which they were available had they asked for them. I then canceled both remaining policies which both had been in effect for 2 months. They acknowledged terminations of all 3 policies with emails and again was told refunds would be coming in 5-7 business days.

I called multiple times a day for months on end and they finally quit answering calls and now the phones are cut off! It is now almost a year since I canceled my policies and I have yet to receive one dime! Everyone of the employees were all liars (all I talked to)! I guess the crooked CEO Michael with his various aliases thought his employees how to deceive, lie and be corrupt just like the “little guy”! Please, do not under any circumstances, buy a car warranty from this "company." Flat out fraud/scam. Like others, prepaid in full a premium warranty on my 2017 Ford F-150 in 2019. In March of 202,5 the starter failed which is a clearly warranted part. From the beginning of negotiating the repair (the authorized repair garage refused to deal with Concord Auto Protect because of their horrible reputation as scammers), it has been impossible to get ahold of Customer service at (888) 399-2811. They do not answer their phones.

I have tried the claims email address: Claims@concordautoprotect.com and they do not respond to those inquiries as well. Since 4/9/2025 their phone goes straight to voicemail recording stating that the "mailbox is full, try again later." The company home address is in King of Prussia, PA. The PA Attorney General's Office has brought suit against Concord Auto Protect to remove their ability to conduct business using PA as an address of record (6/26/2024, see #2024-15994). ** They have a long history of complaints.

The owner, Alan **, aka: Michael **, with a NY address is listed as a defendant in the suit. I have filed a complaint with both the NY and PA Attorney General's Offices. I kick myself that I ever did this...I don't know why I didn't do my homework and due diligence. They have a F rating with the BBB. The list of complaints against them are long and of similar complaint. Impossible to get ahold of, do not honor warranted repairs, do not provide guaranteed refunds for cancelled (prorated) polices.

I originally bought a bumper to bumper Premium policy (VSP# **) for our 2015 Cadillac SRX on 8/8/2019 and paid $1,800.00 in full upfront to cover this vehicle until 2/8/2025 or 125,800 miles. On 7/12/2024 at 50,597 miles I was having a shifting issue and took it to the local Cadillac dealership for service. They indicated it needed the control modular and valve body replaced at the cost of $3328.12. They contacted Concord Auto Protect for preapproval for the work and were told they would get back to them. Four days later after several phone calls the Cadillac service writer was told “sorry but those items are not covered under our policy plan”.

After reviewing the entire policy and stated exceptions, nowhere does it exclude either of these parts. So I called Alex **, the Concord adjuster who had declined the coverage and contacted the dealership, and told him I had the contract right in front of me and neither the contract nor the exception excluded those parts from them covering this repair. Again he declined to cover it. I asked to speak to a supervisor and he sent me to Michael Solomon, which I have learned is the owner, only to leave an unreturned voicemail. After several emails sent to Michael I finally got a response on 8/5/2024 that said “We will look into this matter and advise shortly”. Well I’ve been waiting over 40 weeks for him to look into this matter and have yet to hear anything, even after many emails. Of course I had to pay for the entire repair along with the wasted $1800.00 for this worthless insurance. BEWARE OF CONCORD AUTO PROTECT!!!

It is possible to win against these scammers, but you have to enlist your bank to help. Even if they've promised you a refund, dispute the charge anyway. They're just trying to string you along until the dispute period ends. If you have NOT purchased a policy from Concord yet, RUN AWAY NOW! I think they used to be a good company but appear to be milking that reputation for all its worth. I expect they will declare bankruptcy at some point and abscond with all the premiums. Their behavior isn't just poor customer service; it's intentional.

Horrible! Run as fast as you can. They must be going out of business. Customer service is beyond horrendous - they have one claims rep who you can only email between the hours of 2-6 pm. He does not take phone calls and barely replies to emails. They lie too, they agreed to barely pay on my claim and then after 12 weeks I called to find out about it and they said computers are down - their rep hangs up on you too when questioning anything - buying horrible. I will be filing complaints on them everywhere I can in hopes of saving someone else from spending their hard earned money on the sham of an extended warranty.

This company does not pay its claims out. I have been waiting for 6 months for them to pay my claim. It has already been approved, which I got before fixing and paying for the fixes myself! I am so disappointed! I have not had to use the service before so now that I need to they won't hold up their end of the deal!

I canceled my policy in July, 2024, because Concord was only willing to pay a small portion of my auto repair bill. My contract clearly states when canceling a policy nearly half of the purchase will be refunded. The man who answered the phone promised me I would have a check in 30 days. After several conversation with him promising my refund, he began sending to his so called "financial department" where I must leave a recorded message. It has been nearly six months, where is my refund?

Don't waste your money with this company. If the previous reviews haven't scared you away yet, let me share my experience. I had some repairs done and it has been 3 months trying to get a simple response and inspection set up with them. I was assigned Alex ** as my claims specialist and he takes weeks to answer emails and provides no additional information. Every time I call I'm told that the customer service rep will tell Alex that I have called and I should expect a response, but that never happens. I was given a phone number to Michael ** who is supposedly a manager but he never answers or returns calls. This company is a scam. If you want to throw money away at least buy a lottery ticket, better chance of winning than getting a response from these guys.
