Because of little information on the site, we were unable to discover sample contracts to see what exact parts are included in the coverage for each plan. However, since Warranty Direct Protect offers a tier of plans, you can expect more parts to be covered with the higher tiers.

On top of basic plans, we were able to find out that Warranty Direct Protect offers an exclusionary Infinity plan for RVs that covers more than just the powertrain components. This nontransferable plan also includes mobile repair, consequential damage and tires for the policyholder without any limits on mileage or time.

Warranty Direct Protect coverage limits

An important part of any extended warranty plan is knowing the coverage limits so you’re always aware of the amount of protection you have. Our representative told us that these coverage limits are going to vary per plan and per vehicle. However, here are some exclusions you can expect for most plans according to a terms and conditions page we found on its website:

• Lost or missing parts
• Repairs needed due to negligence/improper installation
• Attaching devices (e.g., bolts, latches, belts)
• Manual transmission and exhaust systems

For all the other vehicle coverages, be sure to speak to your agent so you’re aware of your plan’s limits.

The exact cost of your plan will vary depending on the make, model, mileage and other factors pertaining to your vehicle. But, according to the representative we spoke with, the average plan rings in around $2,500. Depending on your needs and the type of car you have, its plans range from $700 to $5,000 per year. With its plans, Warranty Direct Protect offers deductibles from $0 to $1,000.

According to our representative, every plan except for the Infinity plan is transferable. Other than that, it’s important to know that regardless of what plan you choose, Warranty Direct Protect does not cover routine maintenance, weather damage, accident damage or cosmetic blemishes.
