Fair Warranty coverage and plans
Fair Warranty offers a variety of coverage options to fit your needs. Policies range from one year and 10 years, with coverage up to 150,000 miles.
Fair Warranty offers three plans:
- Powertrain: The Powertrain policy is the least expensive option. It covers the internally lubricated parts of the engine, transmission, transfer case and drive axles. It also covers the repair and replacement costs of other major parts, such as the timing belt, water pump and fuel pump.
- Standard: The Standard plan covers everything in the Powertrain policy and more, like the alternator, heating and air conditioning system, power steering and brakes.
- Premium: The Premium plan is Fair Warranty’s comprehensive plan. While it’s the company’s most expensive plan, it covers most repairs except those expressly excluded.

How does Fair Warranty work?
You can sign up for a Fair Warranty plan by calling the company or visiting its website. When you request a free quote, the company will provide pricing details for its three plans. You can also view a warranty contract sample. There is a 30-day and 1,000-mile waiting period before coverage starts.
Submitting claims is easy and can be completed online in minutes. However, you’ll need prior authorization from Fair Warranty before your plan will cover car repair costs. Your mechanic must provide a written estimate with an itemized list of parts costs and labor rates, which you’ll file with your claims request. If your repairs are covered and approved, you’ll pay the deductible and Fair Warranty will pay your mechanic directly.

Fair Warranty states on its website that prices start at $29.99 a month. Costs will vary depending on the make, model, year and mileage of your vehicle, as well as the state you live in. You can visit the company’s website to get a free quote, including plan pricing and details.
Fair Warranty provides a 30-day money-back guarantee, meaning you’ll receive a full refund if you cancel within 30 days of signing up and haven’t filed a claim.

Fair Warranty additional services
Each Fair Warranty plan comes with additional perks, which include:
- Roadside assistance that provides towing, tire repair, lockout services, battery jump-starts and fuel delivery. The cost is up to $125 per occurrence, up to a maximum of $500.
- Trip interruption coverage that provides $100 a day for three days for hotel stays for customers who breakdown over 150 miles from their home.
- Rental car coverage that reimburses up to $30 per day for lodging for a maximum of five days for rental car or rideshare expenses if your vehicle must remain in a repair shop for four or more hours.
- Subscription to Openbay+ , which provides discounts of up to 25% on car repair and maintenance services.
Fair Warranty coverage limits
Fair Warranty does not cover vehicles manufactured before 2014 or those with over 150,000 miles.

I stumbled upon Fair Warranty through CarEdge.com and was quite intrigued by how competitively priced it was compared to other services. My primary motivation for getting this coverage stemmed from my past experiences with cars breaking down. I am keen on avoiding the exorbitant repair fees.
The sign-up process was straightforward and smooth, which added to my positive first impression. I've been covered for about six months now but I haven't filed any claims yet. If a friend or family member asked for advice about warranties, I would definitely recommend shopping around as I found that dealers often charge more, and there are other, more budget-friendly options available. But overall, it's been a good experience so far.

I bought a new car, and because of my positive past experiences with warranties, an auto warranty was worth it. Initially, someone from Fair Warranty called me by accident, which led me to learn about them. I later discovered they were affiliated with CarEdge, the website I was using extensively to search for and guide my car buying process. This familiarity gave me confidence in their offering.
I initially signed up with a different warranty company but took advantage of a 30-day cancellation policy to do more research. I found that Fair Warranty's coverage was more extensive, with fewer exclusions, and the pricing was very competitive. Therefore, switching over made sense to me.
The sign-up process was smooth and straightforward—something I managed through the web without any issues. Regarding the value, although it's a costly venture, I rate the pricing a solid 4 out of 5, as you always want more bang for your buck. I wanted to be covered as the car that I bought, a Corvette, is known to have some transmission issues. I got Fair Warranty information off a podcast I listen to, and signing up for the service was a breeze since everything was completed online.
The process was straightforward, and it was easy to find a policy that aligned with my needs. A simple one payment took care of the cost, and the coverage is set to begin once the car hits 1,000 miles, lasting up to 7 years or 70,000 miles.
Though I haven't had to use the warranty yet, this seamless online experience has left a positive impression on me. I would happily rate my sign-up experience as a 5, given how user-friendly and efficient the process was.

I've been a customer of Fair Warranty for three months now. When I signed up, I did it online. Although the process went smoothly, it was a bit challenging getting all the necessary pictures because the car was out of town at the time.
I think it would be beneficial if Fair provided a comprehensive checklist at the beginning of the sign-up process, listing all the requirements upfront to avoid the back-and-forth I experienced. Despite this minor inconvenience, my overall experience has been positive with Fair Warranty, making my sign-up process easier than anticipated.

The coverage of Fair Warranty seemed alright, though I wish the warranty duration were longer. Following my sign-up, the communication felt lacking—I had to actively seek out information on how to access my account and view my warranty details. I signed up for the auto warranty online, and I must say that the process was incredibly easy and straightforward. At present, I have no criticisms about Fair Warranty. However, both times I made contact, I did need to wait for callbacks or emails to reach me, which was slightly inconvenient. Overall, my experience with signing on has been seamless so far.
