    The upper radiator hose may crack

    Yamaha Motor Corporation, USA is recalling 16,760 model year 2015-2018 YZFR3 motorcycles.

    The upper radiator hose may crack resulting in a coolant leak.

    Coolant leaking onto the rear tire can cause a loss of control, increasing the risk of a crash.

    What to do

    Yamaha will notify owners, and dealers will install a new upper radiator hose, free of charge.

    The recall is expected to begin December 17, 2018.

    The Company Store recalls children’s robes

    The garments fail to meet the federal flammability standard

    The Company Store of Atlanta, Ga., is recalling about 13,000 children's robes.

    The garments do not meet the federal flammability standard for children’s sleepwear, posing a risk of burn injuries to children.

    No incidents or injuries have been reported.

    This recall involves The Company Store children’s 100% cotton terry robes.

    The robes were sold in sizes XS, S, M, L and XL in the following colors: blue, green, gray, orange, pink, purple, red and white.

    The long-sleeved, hooded robes have two front pockets and two side seam belt loops with a matching belt.

    “The Company Store,” “RN#120962” and a tracking number beginning with either “CS3981DR,” “CS0981DR” or “28738” are printed on a sewn-in neck label.

    The robes, manufactured in Turkey, were sold exclusively online at www.TheCompanyStore.com from March 2015, through October 2018, for about $60.

    What to do

    Consumers should immediately take the recalled robes away from children, stop using them and contact The Company Store for a full refund of the purchase price. The firm is contacting all known purchasers directly.

      Kawasaki recalls Z900, Z900 ABS and Z900RS vehicles

      The rear brake hose and rear wheel rotation sensor wire may contact the rear tire

      Kawasaki Motor Corp., U.S.A. (KMC) is recalling 1,173 model year 2018 Kawasaki Z900, Z900 ABS and Z900RS vehicles.

      The rear brake hose and rear wheel rotation sensor wire may have been incorrectly routed, allowing them to contact the rear tire.

      If the brake hose contacts the rear tire, the hose may be damaged, reducing the braking performance.

      If the wheel rotation wire gets damaged, the ABS may not function properly.

      Either condition can increase the risk of a crash.

      What to do

      KMC will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the brake line and rear wheel sensor wire routing, correcting the routing and replacing any damaged component, free of charge.

      The recall is expected to begin December 17, 2018.

      White-Rodgers recalls thermostats

      Contact between the thermostat wires and household line voltage can damage the thermostat

      White-Rodgers of St. Louis, Mo., is recalling about 150,000 Emerson Branded Sensi WiFi thermostats sold in the U.S and Canada.

      Contact between the thermostat wires and household line voltage can damage the thermostat, posing a fire hazard.

      The company has received eight reports of burn damage to the thermostat, involving minor property damage. No injuries have been reported.

      This recall involves Emerson branded SensiWiFi thermostats with “Emerson” printed on the front and a date code from 1416 to 1536 on the back. The date code represents the manufacture date from the 16th week of 2014 through the 36th week of 2015.

      The thermostats are white with an LCD screen. There are three buttons below the thermostat screen. Up and down arrow and Menu buttons are located to the right of the screen.

      Recalled thermostats have model numbers 1F86U-42WF or UP500W. A product label containing model number and date code information is located on the back of the thermostat.

      The thermostats, manufactured in China, were sold at Johnstone, Home Depot and Golden State FC stores and Heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment distributors nationwide from April 2014, through December 2016, for between about $90 and $150.

      What to do

      Consumers should immediately check their Sensi thermostat to determine if “Emerson” is printed on the front with a date code from 1416 to 1536 on the back. Contact the firm to determine if the unit is included in the recall and for instructions on repair and/or replacement.

      The battery cables may become overloaded

      Airstream is recalling 31 model year 2019 Airstream Interstate 19 motorhomes.

      150-amp fuses may have been used for the coach battery fuses instead of 100-amp fuses, potentially allowing the battery cables to be overloaded.

      Battery cables that are overloaded may overheat, increasing the risk of a fire.

      What to do

      Airstream will notify owners, and dealers will remove the 150-amp fuses and install 100-amp fuses, free of charges.

      The recall is expected to begin January 25, 2019.

      Del Monte recalls canned Fiesta Corn

      The product was under-processed

      Del Monte Foods is recalling 64,242 cases of Fiesta Corn Seasoned with Red & Green Peppers due to under-processing.

      The deviation could result in contamination by spoilage organisms or pathogens, which could lead to life-threatening illness if consumed.

      There have been no reports of illness associated with these products to date.

      The recalled product comes in 15.25-oz. (432g) cans with UPC numbers 24000 02770.

      It will also have one of the following “Best if Used By” dates stamped on the bottom of the can:

      Penn State Industries of Philadelphia, Pa., is recalling about 1,000 quick change jaw chuck systems.

      The jaws can loosen from the chuck and break off, posing a laceration hazard.

      The firm has received seven reports of the jaw loosening or ejecting from the chuck. No injuries have been reported.

      This recall involves Penn State Industries CSCBARR5 quick change jaw chuck systems used with woodworking lathes.

      The recalled jaw chuck systems are made of steel, are silver in color and measure about 3.875 inches in diameter.

      “PSI Woodworking Products” and product number “CSCBARR5” are printed on the side of the chuck.

      The jaw chuck systems, manufactured in China, were sold at Blackwater River Tools, Klingspor Woodworking, L&R Collectables, Long Island Woodworking Supply, Penn State Industries, Sumner Woodworking Store, The Woodwork Shop, Woodturningz , Woodworkers Emporium and other stores nationwide and online at Amazon.com and other websites from March 2017, through August 2018, for between $180 and $250.

      The zipper slider can detach from the hoodie, posing a choking hazard to young children.

      The firm has received one report of the zipper slider body and pull detaching from a hoodie. No injuries have been reported.

      This recall involves Falls Creek Kids branded children’s zip up hoodies sold in five color styles in sizes 12M,18M, 24M, 2T,3T 4T and 5T.

      “Falls Creek Kids” and “Made in China” are printed on the inner collar. The tracking number is printed on a sewn-in label on the inner side seam.

      Signature Hardware recalls wall-mounted shower seats

      The aluminum hardware supporting the shower seat can corrode

      Signature Hardware of Erlanger, Ky., is recalling about 7,300 wall-mounted shower seats sold in the U.S. and Canada.

      The aluminum hardware supporting the shower seat can corrode, posing fall and laceration hazards.

      The company has received 194 reports of the shower seats breaking, including 37 reports of falls without injuries and 23 reports of injuries.

      Injuries include scrapes and bruises, three reports of lacerations for which consumers received stitches and one report of lumbar fractures.

      This recall involves wall-mounted, folding shower seats made of teak wood slats joined together by support rods that extend from two wall mounting brackets.

      The recalled shower seats have brushed nickel, chrome or oil-rubbed bronze finishes on the support rods and bracket covers.

      They measure 16 inches wide by 13.5 inches deep, with a width of 11.75 inches between the centers of the wall mounting brackets.

      SKU number 917726 is printed on purchase receipts and email order confirmations.

      The shower seats, manufactured in China, were sold at Signature Hardware by telephone and online at signaturehardware.com between January 2011, and July 2018, and by Barclay Products Ltd. through its showroom in Gurnee, Ill., between October 2013, and June 2017, for between $150 and $160.

      What to do

      Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled shower seats and contact Signature Hardware to receive a full refund.
