    Crate and Barrel recalls Dakota benches

    The benches can tip over while in use

    Crate and Barrel of Northbrook, Ill., is recalling about 7,400 Dakota benches that can tip over while in use, posing a fall hazard.

    The company has received seven reports of the benches tipping over, including four reports of injuries. The injuries involved broken toes, a broken foot, and a fingertip amputation.

    This recall involves the Dakota wooden bench. The bench has two legs and was sold in two sizes: 51 inches wide by 18 inches tall and 71 inches wide and 18 inches tall.

    The benches, manufactured in Poland, were sold at Crate and Barrel stores nationwide and online at www.crateandbarrel.com from September 2011, through November 2017, for about $600 for the 51-inch bench and about $800 for the 71-inch bench.

    What to do

    Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled benches and contact Crate and Barrel for a free repair. The firm is notifying all known purchasers directly.

    Mitsubishi recalls model year 2016-2017 i-MiEV vehicles

    The front airbag inflators may rupture

    Mitsubishi Motors North America (MMNA) is recalling 144 model year 2016-2017 i-MiEV vehicles, equipped with certain airbag inflators assembled as part of the passenger front airbag modules used as original equipment or replacement equipment.

    In the event of a crash necessitating deployment of the passenger front air bag, the inflators may rupture due to propellant degradation occurring after long-term exposure to absolute humidity and temperature cycling.

    An inflator rupture may result in metal fragments striking the vehicle occupants resulting in serious injury or death.

    What to do

    MMNA will notify owners, and dealers will replace the passenger side frontal air bag inflator, free of charge.

    The recall was expected to begin December 15, 2017.

      Bolts that fasten the passenger side seat pedestal may be improperly tightened

      Triple E Recreational Vehicles is recalling 64 model year 2016-2018 Wonder motorhomes, model W24MB.

      The bolts that fasten the passenger side seat pedestal may be improperly tightened.

      In the event of a crash, the improperly tightened bolts may cause the passenger side seat pedestal bolts to fail, preventing the passenger from being restrained, increasing the risk of injury.

      What to do

      Triple E will notify owners, and dealers will correctly tighten the passenger side seat pedestal mounting bolts, free of charge.

      The recall is expected to begin December 18, 2017.

      Pier 1 Imports recalls decorative glass pumpkins

      The glass pumpkin base to fall and break, posing a laceration hazard

      Pier 1 Imports of Fort Worth, Texas, is recalling about 21,000 glass pumpkins with wooden stems sold in the U.S. and Canada.

      The wooden stem on the top of the decorative pumpkin can detach when picked up, causing the glass pumpkin base to fall and break, posing a laceration hazard.

      The company has received seven reports of the wooden stems detaching from the glass pumpkin base when picked up by the stem, causing the glass pumpkin base to fall and break, resulting in lacerations, including one incident which required stitches.

      This recall involves Pier 1 Imports’ decorative clear glass pumpkins with wooden stem.

      The glass pumpkins have a hollow glass base with a wooden stem attached to the top and were sold in two sizes, small and medium. The small pumpkins weigh 1.65 pounds, and measures 8 high by 8.5 inches wide.

      The medium pumpkins weigh about two pounds, and measures 10 inches high by about 7 inches wide.

      The recalled pumpkins have the following SKU numbers: 3202753 for the small pumpkin and 3202766 for the medium pumpkin. The SKU numbers can be found on the price sticker located on the bottom of the product.

      The glass pumpkins, manufactured in India, were sold exclusively at Pier 1 Imports stores nationwide and online at www.Pier1.com from June 2017, through November 2017, for about $25 for the small glass pumpkin and about $30 for the medium glass pumpkin.

      What to do

      Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled decorative pumpkins and return them to their nearest Pier 1 Imports store for a full refund or merchandise credit.

      John Deere recalls compact utility tractors

      The rollover protective structure at the back of the tractor can loosen

      Deere & Company of Moline, Ill., is recalling about 3,700 John Deere compact utility tractors sold in the U.S. and Canada.

      The rollover protective structure at the back of the tractor can loosen and fail to protect the operator in a rollover accident, posing a risk of injury.

      No incidents or injuries are reported.

      This recall involves John Deere model 1023E and 1025R compact utility tractors that are green and yellow with “John Deere” and the model number printed on the hood of the tractor. The serial number is located on the right side of the frame by the front right tire.

      A complete list of serial numbers included in this recall is available at www.JohnDeere.com/1023E-1025R-ROPSbolt-Recall.

      The tractors, manufactured in the U.S., were sold at John Deere dealers nationwide from March 2017, through October 2017, for between $12,000 and $13,900.

      What to do

      Consumers should stop using the recalled compact utility tractors and contact an authorized John Deere dealer for a free repair. John Deere is contacting purchasers of the recalled tractors directly.

      Bugatti is recalling 47 model year 2017-2018 Chirons.

      The front seat recliner brackets may not be welded properly, which can cause the back of the seat to move unexpectedly, affecting the driver's seating position.

      An unexpected change in the driver's seating position could increase the risk of a crash.

      What to do

      Bugatti will notify owners, and service centers will inspect the welds on the recliner brackets for both seats, replacing the seat assembly, as necessary, free of charge.

      Zero recalls motorcycles with emission control information issue

      The Vehicle Emission Control Information Label may have the wrong model year information

      Zero Motorcycles is recalling 36 model year 2018 S ZF13.0, S ZF7.2, SR ZF14.4, DS ZF13.0, DSR ZF14.4, FX ZF7.2, and FXS ZF7.2 motorcycles.

      The information on the Vehicle Emission Control Information (VECI) Label may indicate the wrong model year.

      Therefore, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of 49 CFR Part 567, "Certification."

      If the affected 2018 motorcycles are ever subject to a recall, the owner may not realize the safety risk because of the misstated model year.

      What to do

      Zero will notify owners, and dealers will replace the incorrect label with a corrected label, free of charge.

      The garments fail to meet the federal flammability standards

      One Stop Shop of Feeding Hills, Mass., is recalling about 350 children’s pajama sets.

      The garments fail to meet the federal flammability standards for children’s sleepwear, posing a risk of burn injuries.

      No incidents or injuries have been reported.

      This recall involves children’s 100 percent cotton knit, two-piece, long-sleeve top and pant pajama sets.

      They were sold in three different styles: Santa Claus print with a white button and black and gold belt screenprint; Elf screenprint with a white Peter Pan collar, three red buttons and a black and gold belt; and reindeer screenprint on the top with a Faire Isle pattern on the pant and a reindeer on the top.

      “Mad Engine” “RN 129993” and the size are on the neck label. The pajama sets were sold in children’s sizes XXS, XS, S, M, L and XL. Mad Engine claims these recalled pajama sets are counterfeit.

      The pajamas, manufactured in China, were sold at Foreman Mills stores nationwide from September 2016, through November 2017, for about $6.

      What to do

      Consumers should immediately take the recalled pajamas away from children and contact One Stop Shop for a full refund.

      Highland Ridge RV is recalling 118 model year 2018 Light recreational trailers, models 312BHTS and 275RLS.

      The safety chains on these vehicles may be rated for a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) of 7,600 lbs. However the trailer has a GVWR of 11,700 lbs.

      The lower rated safety chains may fail if the trailer detaches from the tow vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

      Forest River is recalling 58 model year 2018 Prime Time Fury recreational trailers.

      The federal placard may contain incorrect tire rim information, stating that the vehicle is equipped with ST235/80R16E tires and 16X6.0JJ rims, while it is actually equipped with ST225/75R15E tires and 15X6.0JJ rims.

      As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 110, "Tire Selection and Rims," and 49 CFR Part 567, "Certification."

      If the placards do not indicate the correct tire/rim combination, incorrect replacement tires could be installed, potentially increasing the risk of a crash.

      The rear shock absorber may not function properly

      Kawasaki Motors U.S.A. is recalling 2,383 model year 2017-2018 ZR900AH, ZR900BH and ZR900BJ motorcycles.

      The rear shock absorber tie-rod frame mount holes can become elongated if the rear shock absorber bottoms out, affecting the operation of the shock absorber.

      Failure of the rear shock absorber to function properly can increase the risk of a crash.

      Rafedain Shish Kabob Restaurant of Detroit, Mich., is recalling about 813 pounds of chicken patty shish kabobs.

      The products contain milk, wheat and soy, allergens not declared on the label.

      There are no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products.

      The following items, produced between February 7, 2017, and November 27, 2017, are being recalled:

      • 9-oz. vacuum-packed tray packages containing four pieces of “RAFEDAIN FULLY COOKED CHICKEN PATTY SHISH KABOB.”

      The recalled products, bearing establishment number “EST 44196” inside the USDA mark of inspection, were shipped to distributors and retail locations in Massachusetts, North Carolina, Utah, Virginia and Washington.

      What to do

      Customers who purchased the recalled products should not consume them, but throw them away or return them to the place of purchase.

      The seat belt stays can break, posing an injury hazard

      Kubota Tractor of Grapevine, Texas, is recalling about 26,900 RTV-X series utility vehicles.

      The seat belt stays can break, posing an injury hazard in the event of a crash.

      The company has received three reports of seat belt stays breaking worldwide. No incidents have been reported in the U.S. No injuries have been reported.

      This recall involves Kubota RTV-X series utility vehicles with model numbers ending in 900, 1100, 1120D and 1140. The diesel-powered vehicles were sold in orange and camouflage. Kubota and Diesel are printed on the side of the rear bed box.

      The model number is on the side of the unit and on the data plate located on the back of the cab, between the cab and the bed.

      The trailer lights may not function properly

      Thor Motor Coach (TMC) is recalling 36 model year 2018 Ace, Axis, Hurricane, Windsport, and Vegas motorhomes.

      The wiring for the trailer lights may have been inserted into the wrong locations of the trailer lighting socket causing the trailer lights to not function properly.

      As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."

      If the trailer lights do not function as intended, the risk of a crash can increase.

      What to do

      TMC has notified owners, and dealers will re-wire a new connector free of charge.

      The liquid propane (LP) manifold block may be mounted too close to the center shackle, allowing the shackle to hit the LP hose fitting and cause a propane leak.

      A leaking LP system can increase the risk of a fire.
