    Model year 2017 Jay Sport camping trailers recalled

    The vehicles are labeled with incorrect tire pressure information

    Jayco is recalling 56 model year 2017 Jay Sport camping trailers, model 12SC, manufactured September 14, 2016, to October 3, 2016.

    The labels on the recalled vehicles incorrectly state that the vehicle is equipped with ST175/80R13D tires requiring 65 PSI, when the vehicle is actually equipped with ST175/80R13C tires requiring 50 PSI. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 110, "Tire Selection and Rims."

    Incorrect tire pressure information may result in the tires being over inflated, which can cause possible tire failure, increasing the risk of a crash.

    What to do

    Jayco has notified owners and provided them with a corrected label, free of charge. The recall began on November 1, 2016.

    Hinty's is recalling bean soup and spicy pumpkin chili that may permit the growth of Clostridium botulinum.

    There have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of these products.

    Model year 2010-2011 Mazda Tribute vehicles recalled

    The Fuel Delivery Module (FDM) may crack, causing a fuel leak

    Mazda North American Operations is recalling 912 model year 2010-2011 Tribute vehicles manufactured March 3, 2009, to May 26, 2011.

    On vehicles with a 3.0L engine, the Fuel Delivery Module (FDM) may crack, causing a fuel leak. A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of a fire.

    What to do

    Mazda will notify owners, and dealers will replace the FDM flange with one that has a redesigned fuel supply port, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin December 15, 2016.

      Kidde Recalls combination smoke/CO alarms

      The alarms may fail to alert consumers about a serious incident

      Walter Kidde Portable Equipment of Mebane, N.C., is recalling about 5.1 million Kidde NightHawk combination smoke/carbon monoxide (CO) alarms sold in the U.S. and Canada.

      The alarm can fail to continue to chirp when it reaches its seven-year end of life if the batteries are replaced, leading consumers to believe it is still working. This poses a risk of consumers not being alerted to a fire or CO incident in their home.

      The company has received eight reports of incidents with the recalled alarms. No injuries have been reported.

      This recall involves Kidde NightHawk talking combo smoke/CO alarm with model number KN-COSM-IB and manufacture dates between June 1, 2004, and December 31, 2010.

      The alarms are hard-wired into a home’s electric power. The unit has a compartment on the back for the installation of a replaceable 9V backup battery.

      The alarm is white, round and measures about 5 to 6 inches in diameter. “Kidde” is engraved on the front of the alarm. “Kidde,” the model number and manufacture dates are printed on a label on the back on the alarm.

      The alarms, manufactured in China, were sold at electrical distributors and home centers nationwide and online at Amazon.com from June 2004, through December 2010, for between $40 and $65.

      What to do

      Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled alarms and contact Kidde directly for a free replacement alarm based on date of manufacture or a discount on a new alarm.

      The federal placard and cargo carrying capacity labels contain incorrect information

      Starcraft RV is recalling 94 model year 2017 AR-ONE trailers, model 28R, manufactured March 1, 2016, to August 5, 2016.

      The vehicles have incorrect information on federal placard and cargo carrying capacity (CCC) labels, possibly resulting in the vehicle being overloaded. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 110, "Tire Selection and Rims."

      An overloaded trailer increases the risk of a crash.

      What to do

      Starcraft has notified owners and provided corrected federal placards and CCC labels, free of charge. The recall began on November 3, 2016.

      Model year 2011-2015 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport vehicles recalled

      Water may leak into the windshield wiper motor breathing hole

      Mitsubishi Motors North America (MMNA) is recalling 94,534 model year 2011-2015 Outlander Sport vehicles manufactured August 26, 2010, to January 5, 2015.

      Water may drop between the hood and the windshield and leak into the wiper motor breathing hole, causing internal corrosion of the windshield wiper motor and the possible failure of the motor.

      Failure of the wiper motor can cause a loss of visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.

      What to do

      MMNA will notify owners, and dealers will replace the wiper motor, free of charge. The manufacturer has not yet provided a notification schedule.

      REV Recreation Group recalls Holiday Rambler Vacationer motorhomes

      An electrical short could result in intermittent operation of electrical systems

      REV Recreation Group (REV) is recalling 366 model year 2015-2016 Holiday Rambler Vacationer motorhomes.

      The vehicles have a front truss that may not be adequately supported at the attachment points, allowing any wire harnesses or hydraulic lines routed between the truss and its supporting framework to be pinched or crushed.

      A damaged wire harness can cause an electrical short, resulting in intermittent operation of electrical systems or a vehicle shut down. A damaged hydraulic line may leak fluid. Either condition may increase risk of a fire or a crash.

      What to do

      REV will notify owners, and dealers will install additional steel to support the front truss,. Dealers will also inspect the hydraulic hoses and electrical wiring, relocating them as necessary. These repairs will be done free of charge. The recall is expected to begin November 30, 2016.

      Ivolution recalls IV2 JX-SKY 3/4 open face helmets

      The Mohawk feature of the helmet may not detach in the event of a crash

      Ivolution Sports is recalling 800 IV2 JX-SKY 3/4 open face helmets manufactured October 16, 2015, to November 12, 2015.

      The helmets have a detachable Skull Mohawk portion that was affixed with a metal screw instead of a plastic screw, preventing the Mohawk from easily detaching in the event of a crash. As such, these helmets fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 218, "Motorcycle Helmets."

      If the Mohawk feature of the helmet does not detach in the event of a crash, the rider could be at an increased risk of neck injury.

      What to do

      Ivolution will notify owners, and provide a full refund for all returned helmets. The manufacturer has not yet provided a notification schedule.

      The slide out box could extend unexpectedly

      Newmar Corporation is recalling 19 model year 2017 Dutch Star and Ventana motorhomes manufactured May 17, 2016, to September 27, 2016.

      On certain motorhomes, the wardrobe slide out motor may have been installed without a brake.

      If the slide out motor does not have a brake installed, the slide out box could extend unexpectedly, increasing the risk of a crash.

      What to do

      Newmar will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the motor and replace it if necessary, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin December 19, 2016.

      L.D. Kichler recalls ceiling fixtures

      Bulbs sold with the fixtures burn too hot for the electrical supply wires in the ceiling

      The L.D. Kichler Co. of Cleveland, Ohio is recalling about 71,000 Kichler Krystal Ice ceiling fixtures in the U.S and Canada.

      The 40-watt halogen bulbs sold with the ceiling fixtures burn too hot for the electrical supply wires in the ceiling, posing a fire hazard. The fixtures also pose a fire hazard in homes with older wiring, even if used with lower wattage bulbs.

      No incidents or injuries are reported.

      This recall involves four style numbers of Kichler Krystal Ice flush mount ceiling fixtures with square or cylindrical chrome or bronze-colored metal cage shades and clear crystal accents. They were sold with four 40-watt light bulbs.

      Style numbers include 38182, 38183, 38198, and 38199. The style numbers and “Kichler Home Center” are printed on the inside of the canopy.

      The fixtures, manufactured in China, were sold at Lowe’s from April 2015, through June 2016 and lighting showrooms from January 2016 through August 2016, for about $120.

      What to do

      Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled ceiling fixtures and remove the 40-watt bulbs. Contact Kichler for free 25 watt bulbs and new warning labels. The new labels identify 25-watts as the maximum allowable wattage and the appropriate home wiring (90°C supply wire) for use with the fixture.

      Consumers with homes built before 1985 without upgraded wiring can contact the firm for a full refund.

      Consumers who are uncertain if their home’s wiring has been upgraded can contact Kichler for more information about an inspection by a licensed electrician.

      Jayco recalls Eagle fifth wheel trailers

      The vehicles may have an axle of insufficient load capacity

      Jayco is recalling 30 model year 2017 Eagle fifth wheel trailers, model 355 MBQS, manufactured October 7, 2016, to October 11, 2016.

      The affected vehicles may have an axle of insufficient load capacity.

      If the axle is overloaded, excess tire wear may result, possibly causing tire failure and an increased risk of a crash.

      What to do

      All of the affected trailers have been quarantined at dealers and therefore owner notification letters will not be sent. Jayco dealers will replace the 6000-lb. capacity axle with a 7000-lb. capacity axle, including new rims and tires and will install updated Federal ID, and Cargo Carrying Capacity labels, free of charge.

      Model year 2007-2013 Mitsubishi Outlanders with wiper issue recalled

      The wiper link may separate, causing the wipers to become inoperative

      Mitsubishi Motors North America (MMNA) is recalling 100,082 model year 2007-2013 Outlanders manufactured September 8, 2006, to March 29, 2013.

      Water may enter between the hood and windshield and cause the front wiper link ball joint to corrode, possibly resulting in the wiper link separating and the wipers becoming inoperative.

      Loss of wiper function can reduce visibility and increase the risk of a crash.

      What to do

      MMNA will notify owners, and dealers will replace the rubber boot on the ball joint to prevent water intrusion. Additionally, they will inspect the wiper motor crank arm for excessive play, replacing it as necessary. These repairs will be done free of charge. The manufacturer has not yet provided a notification schedule.

      Forest River recalls model year 2017 Dynamax Isata motorhomes

      Liquid propane could enter the cabin

      Forest River is recalling 156 model year 2017 Dynamax Isata motorhomes, models ISC24FWM, ISC24RWM, ISC35DBD and ISC36DSD, manufactured May 19, 2016, to October 19, 2016.

      The recalled vehicles may be missing a securing cable tie on the rubber grommet for the copper liquid propane (L.P.) gas line, allowing liquid propane to enter the cabin.

      If the rubber grommet is not properly sealed and secured, there is an increased risk of propane leak and a fire.

      What to do

      Forest River will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the grommet and install a cable tie, as necessary, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin December 19, 2016.

      Water Lilies Food recalls egg rolls

      The product contains shrimp, an allergen not declared on the label

      Water Lilies Food of Astoria, N.Y., is recalling approximately 1,710 pounds of egg rolls.

      The product contains shrimp, an allergen not declared on the label. Additionally, it was mislabeled as pork egg rolls, when in fact, shrimp egg rolls were packaged.

      There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products.

      The following shrimp egg roll item, produced on July 12, 2016, is being recalled:

      • 15-oz. (425 g) boxes containing five pieces of “World Menu Egg Rolls Pork” with a best by date of 07-12-2017, a packaging date of 07-12-2016 and a UPC code of 6-88267-06951-2.

      The recalled product, bearing establishment number “EST. M21465A” inside the USDA mark of inspection, was shipped to a distribution center in Westfield, Mass.

      Love My Tru Body recalls Skinny Bee Diet capsules

      The product contains sibutramine, desmethylsibutramine, and/phenolphthalein

      Love My Tru Body of McDonough, Ga. is recalling all 500-mg. Skinny Bee Diet capsules.

      The product contains sibutramine, desmethylsibutramine, and/phenolphthalein.

      Sibutramine is an appetite suppressant that was withdrawn from the U.S. market in October 2010.

      Phenolpthalein was previously used in over-the-counter laxatives, but because of concerns of carcinogenicity, it is no longer marketed in the U.S.

      These undeclared ingredients make this product an unapproved new drug for which safety and efficacy have not been established.

      The company has not received any reports of adverse events related to this recall.

      The product, used as a weight loss dietary supplement and packaged in white silver bottle with red capsules. The recall includes bottles manufactured March 7, 2016, with an expiration date of March 6, 2018.

      It was distributed nationwide from March 23 – April 28, 2016, via the internet at www.lovemytrubody.com.

      What to do

      The company has notified its customers by U.S. Mail. Customers who who purchased the recalled product stop using it and discard it.

      Turn signals may not automatically cancel by the rotation of the steering wheel

      Mazda North American Operations is recalling 180 model year 2017 Mazda6 vehicles manufactured August 12, 2016, to September 28, 2016 and equipped with optional accessory fog lights.

      Due to installation of an incorrect combination switch, the turn signals may not automatically cancel by the rotation of the steering wheel. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."

      A vehicle driven with the turn signal flashing continuously may confuse other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash.

      What to do

      Mazda will notify owners, and dealers will replace the combination switch, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin in November 2016.

      Ton Shen Health recalls Life Rising brand Side Head Regulator TT tablets

      The tablets contain elevated levels of lead

      Ton Shen Health of Chicago, Ill., is recalling Life Rising brand Side Head Regulator TT” tablets.

      Recent lab tests indicate certain lots of the product have elevated levels of lead above the currently recognized acceptable levels for children under 18 years of age.

      No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this product.

      The recalled product, which comes in a 1.6-oz. white plastic package marked with lot # on the bottom and UPC: 616042101010, was mostly sold locally in Chicago area retail stores, and some were distributed to other states through mail orders.

      Customers who purchased the recalled product should return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.

      The seatback may not function as designed in the event of a rear-end collision

      Kia Motors America is recalling 1,408 model year 2016 Kia Sorentos manufactured March 3, 2016 to March 21, 2016.

      The driver's seatback frame may have been produced with inadequate weld joints and, as a result, the seatback may not function as designed in the event of a rear-end collision.

      In the event of a crash, the driver seatback frame could break and fail to restrain a seat occupant, increasing the risk of injury.

      What to do

      Kia will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the welds and replace the driver seatback frame, as necessary, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin on December 9, 2016.
