    KZRV issues recall for certain recreational trailers

    The Solera Smart Arm awnings may deploy while the trailer is moving

    KZRV, L.P. is recalling over 7,400 Durango, Spree, Spree Escape, Connect, Sportsmen, Sidewinder, and Venom recreational trailers manufactured during the 2018-2019 production year.

    The company says that the Solera Smart Arm awnings that come equipped on these trailers may deploy while moving, increasing the risk of a crash.

    In its notice, KZRV states that the remedy for this recall is still under development and likely to begin on June 15. Owners of affected trailers may contact the company's customer service number at 1-800-768-4016, ext. 153 or 154.

    Supreme Corporation recalls certain Kold King vehicles

    The floor frame rail can detach and cause injury

    The Supreme Corporation is recalling 404 of its Supreme Kold King vehicles manufactured between 2013 and 2017. 

    The company says the floor frame rail of affected vehicles may detach from the cross members due to insufficient weld penetration. If this occurs, the vehicle's body may separate from the chassis and result in crash or injury.

    Supreme will be notifying owners of potentially affected vehicles and instructing dealers to install reinforcement gussets to the floor frame at no extra cost. The company expects the recall process to begin June 15.

    Wrapables recalls women's scarves

    The products failed to meet federal flammability standards

    Wrapables -- a company based out of Fremont, Calif. -- is recalling 1,900 of its women's scarves because the products fail to meet federal flammability standards for clothing textiles, which poses a risk of burn injuries to those who wear them.

    The recall covers Wrapables women's scarves that bear a "100% silk" small side seam label and measure 65 inches long by 21 inches wide. The scarves were sold online at Amazon.com, Walmart.com, and Wrapables.com from March 2014 to March 2018.

    The company asks consumers who own one of the affected products to stop wearing them immediately and reach out for a full refund. 

    Wrapables can be reached via its toll-free number at 888-651-1638 from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (PST), Monday through Friday. Consumers can also email the company at service@wrapables.com and include "Product Recall" as the email subject line.

      Hauck Fun For Kids recalls Nerf Battle Racer go-karts

      A defect in the steering wheel can cause increase risk of collisions and cause lacerations

      Hauck Fun For Kids, Inc. is recalling over 26,000 units of its Hauck Nerf Battle Racer go-karts due to a defect in the product's steering wheel. 

      The company says that the steering wheel can detach, break, or crack while in use, which can cause lacerations and increase the risk of a collision. 

      The Nerf Battle Racers are four-wheel pedal powered go-karts that can be identified by the "Nerf" logo on each side of the kart and black and orange wheels. Affected products bear a T91869 model number, which can be found on a white sticker on the underside of the seat.

      The products' date of manufacture can be found in the same location; recalled products will have a date of manufacture between 01/2016 and 03/2017.

      Hauck has received 639 reports of the steering wheel detaching, breaking, or cracking thus far, with two cases resulting in injury.

      The company urges consumers to stop using the product immediately and contact it for a new steering wheel. The company can be reached via its online site or by calling its toll-free number at 877-428-2545 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

      Trésart Caché recalls Children's Upper Outerwear

      Drawstrings on children's upper outerwear can pose a strangulartion hazard

      Trésart Caché is recalling children's upper outerwear with a drawstring in the hood and neck area.

      Drawstrings on children's upper outerwear can become caught on playground equipment, fences, or other objects and result in strangulation or, in the case of a vehicle, the child being dragged.

      The company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada to date.

      This recall involves children's outerwear with drawstring in the hood and neck area.

      These outdoor garments, made of 100 percent wool or a 50 percent wool/50 percent cotton blend, were available in children's sizes 0 to 10 and were available in a range of colours and designs.

      The recalled products, manufactured in Ecuador, were sold in Canada from September 2008 to April 2018.

      What to do

      Consumers should immediately remove the drawstring from the garment to eliminate the hazard.

      Riverside recalls White Water, Water Fall, and Mt. McKinley motorhomes

      The vehicles' fire extinguishers may not discharge as expected

      Riverside RV is recalling 2,000 model year 2015-2017 White Water, Water Fall, and Mt. McKinley motorhomes equipped with Plastic-Handle Fire Extinguishers or Push Button 'Pindicator' Fire Extinguishers.

      The extinguishers may become clogged, preventing them from discharging as expected or requiring excessive force to activate the extinguisher.

      Additionally, in certain models, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury and also render the product inoperable, increasing the risk of injury.

      What to do

      Riverside will notify owners, instructing them to contact Kidde to get a replacement fire extinguisher, free of charge.

      The recall is expected to begin in May 2018.

      The vehicles do not have intermediate side marker lights

      Gulf Stream Coach is recalling 362 model year 2016-2018 Gulf Stream Conquest and B Touring Cruiser motorhomes, models 6314, 6316, 6317, 6320, 63111, 5291 and 5316.

      These vehicles do not have intermediate side marker lights, and have front and rear side marker lights that are spaced more than thirty feet apart.

      Without intermediate side marker lights, the motorhome would have decreased visibility to other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash.

      What to do

      Gulf Stream will notify owners, and dealers will install intermediate side marker lights, free of charge.

      The recall is expected to begin in May 2018.

      Carter’s recalls children’s cardigan sets

      The cardigan’s toggle button can detach, posing a choking hazard

      The William Carter Company of Atlanta, Ga., is recalling about 116,000 3-piece penguin cardigan sets sold in the U.S. and Canada.

      The cardigan’s toggle button can detach, posing a choking hazard to young children.

      The firm has received three reports of children putting a detached toggle button in their mouths. No injuries have been reported.

      This recall involves Carter’s 3-piece penguin cardigan sets consisting of a white embroidered penguin bodysuit, a grey cardigan with a hood and matching pair of pants. They were sold in sizes newborn to 24 months.

      Style number 127G596 is printed on the front of the care tag sewn on the inside of the cardigan, and the UPC number is printed on the back of the same care tag.

      The UPC numbers are 190795798203, 190795798166, 190795798173, 190795798180, 190795798135, 190795798142, 190795798159.

      Consumers should immediately take the recalled cardigan sets away from children, stop using them and return them to a Carter’s store location for a full refund in the form of a gift card.

      Loose pieces from the Velcro closures on the card’s diaper flaps can eject

      Papyrus-Recycled Greetings Canada Ltd. is recalling Diaper Loading greeting cards.

      Loose pieces from the Velcro closures on the card’s diaper flaps can eject due to the force of separation from opening the card, creating a risk of eye injury.

      The company has received one report of an eye injury in Canada.

      This recall involves the Papyrus brand greeting card for new babies. The front of the card features a diaper with Velcro closures on the diaper flaps and reads "Diaper Loading . . ." The inside reads "Love and congrats on all the happy changes."

      The card is sold in a clear envelope with the following numbers found on the enclosed slip sheet: UPC 059584180998; 12026817 above the UPC; and NB 5721217 in the right corner.

      The recalled cards, manufactured in China, were sold from February to April 2018.

      Seabear recalls Cold Smoked Wild Coho Salmon Lox

      The product may be contaminated with Clostridium botulinum

      Seabear Company of Anacortes, Wash., is recalling 1,225 3-oz. units of Gerard & Dominique Seafoods brand Cold Smoked Wild Coho Salmon Lox.

      The product may be contaminated with Clostridium botulinum, which can cause life-threatening illness or death.

      No illnesses have been reported to date.

      The Cold Smoked Wild Coho Salmon Lox, lot # CSCO-17339, Pack Date 17-340, was shipped directly to distributors in California, Maryland and Washington between December 8, 2017, and April 10, 2018, and may have been further distributed and sold through retail stores at least in these states.

      The recalled product was packaged in a reduced oxygen packaging, net wt. 3-oz. (85g), and has the UPC 7 52047 92635 4.

      What to do

      Customers who purchased the recalled product should keep it frozen until used and thaw under refrigeration immediately before use.

      If the product has been refrigerated, it should be discarded immediately even if it does not look or smell spoiled.

      Fuel may leak in certain circumstances

      Ducati North America is recalling 692 model year 2018 Ducati Panigale V4, Panigale V4 S, and Panigale V4 Speciale motorcycles.

      Fuel may spray out of the gas tank when the tank cap is opened, or leak from the gas tank's internal breathing system valve plug.

      A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source can increase the risk of a fire.

      What to do

      Ducati will notify owners, and dealers will rework the fuel tank cap to improve the fuel tank's breathing capacity, or replace the plug and the O-ring, free of charge.

      Premier Kitchen recalls Sharper Image and Frigidaire Mandoline slicers

      The small blades in the julienne slicer attachment can separate from the plastic assembly

      Premier Kitchen Products of New York, N.Y., is recalling about 19,230 Sharper Image and Frigidaire Mandoline slicers sold in the U.S. and Canada.

      The small blades in the julienne slicer attachment can separate from the plastic assembly, posing a laceration hazard.

      The firm has received four reports of the small blades separating from the julienne attachment during food preparation. No injuries have been reported.

      This recall involves The Sharper Image and Frigidaire Mandoline slicers, a non-electric food preparation item used to slice and julienne vegetables.

      The slicers have a clear plastic container to capture the sliced food, two blade attachments (one large-blade slicer and one small-blade julienne slicer), a holder for the attachments and a plastic knob component to move and hold the food.

      The model number and UPC code are printed on the packaging. “Frigidaire” is printed on the side of the Frigidaire slicers.

      The recalled product comes in 13.5-oz. cans with the lot code A23IX, best-by date January 2021 and the UPC code 041498131289.

      It was sold in ALDI stores in Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Virginia, Wisconsin and West Virginia, and was available for purchase by ALDI customers in the Atlanta and Chicago areas through the company's partnership with Instacart -- a grocery delivery service.

      The low beam headlights go out unexpectedly

      Newmar Corporation is recalling 2,038 model year 2016-2017 Newmar Ventana, model year 2015-2016 Newmar London Aire and model year 2013-2017 Newmar Dutch Star motorhomes.

      When switching from using the low beam headlights to the high beam headlights, the low beam headlights go out when the intention was to have both beams illuminate.

      Without the low beams also illuminated when the high beams are on, the driver may have reduced visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.

      What to do

      Newmar will notify owners, and dealers will correct the vehicles so that the low beam stays illuminated when the high beam is switched on, free of charge.

      The recall is expected to begin June 17, 2018.
