    Corn Maiden Foods recalls Morrison Aussie Travelers’ Pies

    The product contains monosodium glutamate not declared on the label

    Corn Maiden Foods of Harbor City, Calif., is recalling approximately 2,133 pounds of ready-to-eat Morrison Aussie Travelers’ Pies.

    The products contains monosodium glutamate (MSG)which is not declared on the label.

    There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products.

    The following ready-to-eat steak and mushroom item, produced from February 3 to March 29, 2017, is being recalled:

    • 12-oz packages of “Morrison Aussie Travelers’ Pies, Hand-Held 2 Aussie Pies Steak & Mushroom,” with sell-by dates of Feb. 3, 2018, Feb. 15, 2018, Feb. 16, 2018 and March 29, 2018, and lot codes 170203, 170215, 170216 and 170329.

    The recalled product, bearing establishment number “Est. 20689” inside the USDA mark of inspection, was distributed to retail locations in California.

    BMW recalls motorcycles equipped with optional aluminum luggage cases

    The cases may partially block the rear reflex reflectors

    BMW of North America is recalling 29,281 model year 2013-2017 R1200GS, F800R and F800GT motorcycles, model year 2014-2017 R1200GS Adventure motorcycles, model year 2016-2017 S1000XR motorcycles and model year 2015-2017 R1200R and R1200RS motorcycles.

    When equipped with the optional aluminum luggage cases, the rear reflex reflectors may be partially blocked. The aluminum case mounts for the R1200GS and R1200GS Adventure may also partially block the reflectors.

    As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."

    If the rear reflex reflectors are obscured from view, it can increase the risk of a crash.

    What to do

    BMW will notify owners, and dealers will install reflectors on the cases or for the case mounts, an additional bracket with rear reflex reflectors, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin September 21, 2017.

    Firewood recalls vaporizers

    An electrical short can occur in the vaporizer, posing a fire hazard

    Firewood of Wellesley, Mass., is recalling about 400 Firewood 4 vaporizers.

    An electrical short can occur in the vaporizer, posing a fire hazard.

    The firm has received one report of an electrical short that allowed the vaporizer battery to vent and catch fire. No injuries have been reported.

    This recall involves all Firewood 4 vaporizers. The vaporizers measure 2 inches wide by 3 1/2 inches tall by 7/8 inches thick and have a sliding battery compartment cover.

    The body and battery cover of the vaporizers are wooden and were sold finished or unfinished. The Firewood logo is printed on the bottom of the vaporizers.

    The vaporizers, manufactured in the U.S., were sold exclusively at Firewoodvapes.com from October 2016, through June 2017, for between $135 and $185.

    What to do

    Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled vaporizers and contact Firewood to receive a free repair. All known purchasers are being contacted directly by the firm.

      Piaggio recalls model year 2018 Liberty 50 iGet 3V scooters

      The swing arm may shift, causing a loss of control

      Piaggio Group Americas is recalling 180 model year 2018 Liberty 50 iGet 3V scooters.

      The nut that holds the rear swing arm to the frame may loosen allowing the swing arm to move out of position.

      The shifting swing arm may cause a loss of control, increasing the risk of a crash.

      What to do

      Piaggio will notify owners, and dealers will check the swing arm nut torque, tightening or replacing the nut, bolt and washer, free of charge. The recall was expected to begin August 7, 2017.

      The products contain soy, an allergen, not declared on the label

      Bateman of West Sacramento, Calif., is recalling approximately 20,297 pounds of chicken filets.

      The products contain soy, an allergen, not declared on the label.

      There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products.

      The following items, produced from June 30, 2016, through June 27, 2017, are being recalled:

      • 9.1-oz. plastic 3 compartment trays containing “CHICKEN with HERB SAUCE POTATOES and CARROTS” bearing any of the following Lot Codes: 17817, 14417, 10217, 08617, 05517, 04417, 00217, 36516, 35016, 32816, 30216, 27716, 24316, 22216, and 18216.
      • 9.0-oz. plastic 3 compartment trays containing “Bateman Classics Chicken Fillet with Honey Mustard Sauce, Herbed Quinoa, California Blend Vegetables” bearing any of the following Lot Codes: 12117, 06717, 04517, 00917, 29516, and 23616.
      • 12.8-oz. plastic 3 compartment trays containing “Bateman Classics Chicken Fillet w/ Barbeque Sauce, ROASTED YAMS, GREEN BEANS” bearing any of the following Lot Codes: 14617, 08917, 01717, and 35616.
      • 9.1-oz. plastic 3 compartment trays containing “Bateman Classics Chicken Breast Fillet with Apricot Sauce Lemon Quinoa and Brussels Sprouts” bearing any of the following Lot Codes: 11117, 06017, 01717, and 35516.

      The recalled products, bearing establishment number “EST. P45096” inside the USDA mark of inspection, were shipped to institutional locations in Arizona and California.

      What to do

      Customers who purchased the recalled products should not consume them, but throw them away or return them to the place of purchase.

      Man of Steel recalls male enhancement supplements

      The products contain sildenafil which is not declared on the label

      Man of Steel of Sacramento, Calif., is recalling 175 lots of Man of Steel 1 and Man of Steel 2 male enhancement supplement.

      The products have been found to contain sildenafil, which is not declared on the label.

      The company has not received any reports of adverse events related to this recall.

      The recalled product, packaged in individual blister packages, has an expiration date of October 17, 2018, and was sold at convenience stores in Sacramento.

      What to do

      Customers who purchased the recalled product should stop using it and return it to place of purchase or discard it.

      A bolt for the kitchen slide may contact the front tire, causing tire failure

      Keystone RV Company is recalling 137 model year 2016-2018 Keystone Avalanche recreational trailers, model 370RD.

      The vehicles have an adjustment bolt for the kitchen slide-out that could contact the front tire.

      If the bolt contacts the front tire, the tire may suddenly fail, increasing the risk of a crash.

      What to do

      Keystone has notified owners, and dealers will replace the adjustment bolt with a shorter one, free of charge. The recall began on July 27, 2017.

      Jayco recalls model year 2017 Jay Flight SLX travel trailers

      The Cargo Carrying Capacity labels contain incorrect information

      Jayco is recalling 116 model year 2017 Jay Flight SLX travel trailers equipped with the Rocky Mountain Package option.

      The Cargo Carrying Capacity (CCC) labels on the affected vehicles did not include the weight of the water tank and water when calculating the CCC, therefore, the CCC is overstated beyond the 1% variance allowed.

      As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 110, "Tire Selection and Rims."

      Without an accurate CCC, the trailer may be overloaded, affecting the handling and increasing the risk of a crash.

      What to do

      Jayco has notified owners and will provide them with corrected labels, free of charge. The recall began on July 20, 2017.

      Forest River recalls model year 2017 Rockwood travel trailers

      The federal placard contains incorrect VIN information

      Forest River is recalling 12 model year 2017 Rockwood travel trailers, models RLF8301WS and RLF8301WS-W.

      The recalled vehicles have a federal placard with an incorrect ninth place check digit printed on the VIN label.

      As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of 49 CFR Part 567, "Certification."

      The incorrect check digit will hinder the registration of the vehicle, which can lead to improper licensing and the failure to properly account for the vehicle in the event of a safety recall.

      What to do

      Forest River will notify owners, and will provide a corrected federal placard, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin September 11, 2017.
