    Core Health & Fitness recalls exercise machines

    The height adjusting carriage assembly can loosen and fall on the consumer

    Core Health & Fitness of Vancouver, Wash., is recalling about 3,600 exercise machines. 

    The height adjusting carriage assembly can loosen and fall on the consumer.

    The firm has received 48 reports of the height-adjusting carriage assemblies loosening and falling, resulting in 31 reports of injuries, including cuts requiring staples or stitches.

    This recall involves five styles of Inspiration Cable Cross Over and Dual Adjustable Pulley machines installed primarily in fitness centers and gyms.

    The units are stainless steel adjustable pulleys with single hand adjustment designs and high-low cable positioning components.

    “Inspiration” is printed on each Dual Adjustable Pulley model, and “Star Trac” or “Nautilus” is printed on the Cable Cross Over models.

    The machines, manufactured in the U.S. and China, were sold by Core distributors nationwide from November 2010, through April 2017, and by Unisen distributors from 2001, to 2010, for between $2,700 and $8,400.

    What to do

    Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled exercise machines and contact Core Health & Fitness to schedule a free onsite repair. The firm is contacting all known purchasers directly.

    Aston Martin recalls model year 2017 DB11s

    The tire pressure warning may not illuminate

    Aston Martin the Americas is recalling 319 model year 2017 DB11s.

    The vehicles have a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) that may be incorrectly calibrated, resulting in the low tire pressure warning tell-tale not illuminating at the required minimum activation pressure.

    As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 138, "Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems."

    If the driver is not warned that a tire is under-inflated, continued use may result in tire failure, increasing the risk of a crash.

    What to do

    Aston Martin will notify owners, and dealers will update the TPMS software, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin in July 2017.

      Model year 2018 Lance Travel Trailers with utility receivers recalled

      Things connected to the receiver may not be properly positioned

      Lance Camper Manufacturing Corp. is recalling 42 model year 2018 Lance Travel Trailers equipped with adjustable utility receivers sold as optional or aftermarket equipment.

      The receivers may have insufficient welds and, as a result, things connected to the receiver such as a bicycle rack may not be properly positioned.

      If components such as a bicycle rack are not properly supported, they may contact the road, possibly resulting in road debris, increasing the risk of a crash.

      What to do

      Lance Camper has notified owners who will be refunded for their purchase once the receiver is returned. As an option, customers may instead get a bike rack that goes on the front of the travel trailer, free of charge. The recall began on May 26, 2017.

      Lakota recalls model year 2018 Colt trailers

      The vehicle's furnace may not vent properly

      Lakota Corporation is recalling 152 model year 2018 Colt trailers.

      The furnace flue may not have been installed properly and, as a result, the furnace combustion system may not vent to the outside of the trailer living quarters.

      If the furnace does not vent properly, a build up of carbon monoxide may occur within the trailer, increasing the risk of injury or death.

      What to do

      Lakota will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the trailers and confirm that the furnace flue is installed properly, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin July 28, 2017.

      Forest River recalls RVs with wiring issue

      Wiring for the standard refrigerator was left with exposed wire ends

      Forest River is recalling 1,455 model year 2014-2015 Coachmen RV Cross Country and Encounter recreational vehicles, and model year 2014-2018 Coachmen RV Mirada and Mirada Select recreational vehicles equipped with the residential refrigerator option instead of the standard refrigerator.

      The unused, but powered, wiring for the standard refrigerator was left with exposed wire ends.

      If the energized positive wire and negative wire make contact, the wires may sort circuit and possibly melt, increasing the risk of a fire.

      What to do

      Forest River will notify owners, and dealers will disconnect the positive and negative wires from the battery, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin on August 21, 2017.

      Hardcore Formulations recalls body-building capsules

      The products contain derivatives of anabolic steroids

      Hardcore Formulations of San Marcos, Texas, is recalling all lots and expiration dates of Ultra-Sten and D-Zine body-building capsules.

      The products are labeled to contain methylstenbolone (Ultra-Sten) and dymethazine (D-Zine), which are considered to be derivatives of anabolic steroids.

      The presence of these anabolic steroids makes the products unapproved drugs for which safety and efficacy have not been established.

      Consumption of products containing derivatives of anabolic steroids may cause serious liver injury and other adverse health consequences.

      There are no reports of these or any other illnesses or injuries.

      The recalled products are packaged in 90-count bottles, with the bar code 7-48252-68763-0 (Ultra-Sten); 7-48252-86193-1 (D-Zine) and were sold from August 2014 to May 2017 through retailers nationwide in the U.S.

      What to do

      Customers who purchased the recalled products should stop using them, return them to their place of purchase or discard in accordance with state and local ordinances for disposal of drug products.

      The default air bag calibration settings may be incorrect

      Jaguar Land Rover North America is recalling 4,926 model year 2010-2011 XJs.

      If, while being serviced, the vehicle does not successfully receive an update to the Restraint Control Module (RCM) software, the default air bag calibration settings may be incorrect.

      In the event of a crash, the incorrect calibration may not activate the air bag deployment as intended, increasing the risk of injury.

      ADM Animal Nutrition recalls Rough-N-Ready cattle feed

      The product contains elevated levels of monensin which could harm cattle

      ADM Animal Nutrition is recalling 50-pound bags of Rough-N-Ready 14 BT cattle feed, product number 54787BHB24.

      The product contains levels of monensin elevated beyond the recommended dosage, which can be toxic to cattle and can cause colic-like symptoms, hypokalemia, myoglobinuria, chronic cardiovascular issues, and possible death.

      Two customers claim the feed may have resulted in death loss on their respective farms.

      Only Lot # 2WS01717, which can be found at the bottom of the label, is being recalled. It was distributed between January 19, 2017, and February 2, 2017, and could have been purchased directly from ADM Animal Nutrition or through one of three distributors including: Midwest Fertilizer in Iola, Kan., CW Feeds in Wichita, Kan., and Northtown Ace in Mountain Grove, Mo.

      What to do

      Customers who purchased the recalled product should immediately stop using it and return it to their distributor or directly to ADM Animal Nutrition for a full refund.

      There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products.

      The following frozen chicken bite items, produced on August 30, 2016, Feb. 1, 2017, Feb. 9, 2017, and April 25, 2017, are being recalled:

      • 3-oz. boxes containing “yummy spoonfuls chicken carrot bites,” with “Best Before” dates of 02/01/18, 02/09/18 and 4/26/2018.

      The frame extension adapter may be missing some supplemental attaching bolts.

      Without the supplemental bolts, if the trailer towing capacity is reached or exceeded, there maybe a distortion in the vehicle frame and/or frame extension structure, affecting the vehicle control and increasing the risk if a crash.

      Aston Martin recalls model year 2011-2014 V8 Vantage vehicles

      A connector for the clutch fluid line may break

      Aston Martin the Americas is recalling 179 model year 2011-2014 V8 Vantage vehicles equipped with 7-speed Auto-Shift Manual "SportShift II" transmissions.

      A connector for the clutch fluid line may break, resulting in a hydraulic fluid leak, which may prevent the vehicle from shifting out of the gear that it is in. 

      Additionally, if the vehicle is being driven when the fluid level significantly drops, the transmission may shift to an emergency neutral as the vehicle comes to a stop.

      If the driver ignores the dash warning message and exits the vehicle without applying the parking brake, the vehicle may roll away. Either condition increases the risk of a crash.

      What to do

      Aston Martin will notify owners, and dealers will install a support bracket to hold pipe securely in position, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin July 7, 2017.
