    Thor Motor Coach recalls Freedom Elite motorhomes

    The converter breaker may cause a fire

    Thor Motor Coach (TMC) is recalling 2,009 model year 2017-2021 Freedom Elite motorhomes.

    A 100 amp converter breaker was incorrectly installed at the battery tray when a 70 amp breaker is required, possibly resulting in the wiring connected to the breaker overheating.

    Overheated wires can increase the risk of a fire.

    What to do

    TMC will notify owners, and dealers will replace the converter breaker with one of the correct amperage – if needed – free of charge.

    The recall is expected to begin September 22, 2020.

    Resource Recovery & Trading recalls hand sanitizer

    The products may contain methanol (wood alcohol)

    Resource Recovery & Trading is recalling all lots of hand sanitizer manufactured by MXL Comercial S.A. de C.V.

    The products may contain methanol (wood alcohol) and a subpotency of ethyl alcohol.

    There are no reports of adverse events to date.

    The recalled products, with 70% Ethyl Alcohol Disinfectant Gel, packaged in 6.7-FL Oz. (200 ml) bottles, UPC 650240026020, and HAND SANITIZER Non-sterile Solution 70% Topical Solution, packaged in 20L (5.28 Gal) liter plastic containers, UPC 37710600013, were sold from June 10 – 20, 2020, in Alabama and Georgia.

    What to do

    Customers who purchased the recalled products should stop using and return them to the place of purchase.

    The dinette seat belts are too short

    Thor Motor Coach (TMC) is recalling 49 model year 2020-2021 Sequence and Tellaro motorhomes.

    The dinette booth seat belts may be too short preventing them from being usable by some occupants.

    Inability to use the seat belt may increase the risk of injury in a crash.

    What to do

    TMC will notify owners, and dealers will replace the 18-inch seat belt tether with a 24-inch tether on both sides of the dinette booth free of charge.

    The recall is expected to begin September 22, 2020.

      Bio Source Naturals recalls Wintergreen and Birch Sweet Essential Oils

      The packaging is not child resistant

      Bio Source Naturals of New Boston, Mich., is recalling about 390 bottles of Bio Source Naturals Wintergreen and Birch Sweet Essential Oils.

      The products, which contain methyl salicylate, come in packaging that is not child resistant, posing a risk of poisoning to young children.

      No incidents or injuries are reported.

      This recall involves Bio Source Naturals Wintergreen and Birch Sweet Essential Oils in amber glass bottles with white or black caps.

      The essential oils were sold in 0.5 fl. oz. (15 mL), 1 fl. oz. (30 mL), 2 fl. oz. (60 mL), and 4 fl. oz. (120 mL).

      “Birch (Sweet),” “Betula lenta,” “Wintergreen,” the Bio Source Naturals logo and the volume amounts are printed on the green and white labels.

      The oils, manufactured in the U.S., were sold online at BioSourceNaturals.com, Etsy.com and Amazon.com from July 2013, through June 2020, for between $5 and $40.

      What to do

      Consumers should immediately store the products in a safe location out of reach of children and contact Bio Source Naturals for a full refund. Bio Source Naturals is directly notifying all known purchasers about the recall.

      The boom lift hydraulic cylinder end gland may fail

      Altec Industries is recalling 141 model year 1995-1998 Altec A0442 aerial devices.

      The boom lift hydraulic cylinder end gland may fail causing uncontrolled boom movement.

      Uncontrolled movement of the boom can increase the risk of injury.

      What to do

      Altec will notify owners, and instruct them to inspect the boom lift cylinders for an externally threaded head gland design. The customer will be instructed whether the unit can be used with restricted lower and/or upper boom articulation until the cylinder(s) are repaired or replaced free of charge.

      The recall is expected to begin August 12, 2020.
