    Zero recalls model year 2020 SR/F and SR/S motorcycles

    Water may enter the front brake switch

    Zero Motorcycles is recalling 659 model year 2020 SR/F and SR/S motorcycles.

    The front brake switch can fail from water getting into the switch.

    An inoperable front brake switch will not illuminate the brake light when the rider applies the front brakes.

    Following vehicles may not realize the motorcycle is braking, and cruise control will not shut off with the application of the front brakes.

    Both conditions increase the risk of a crash.

    What to do

    Zero will notify owners, and dealers will the replace the front brake switch free of charge.

    The recall is expected to begin November 30, 2020.

    Whole Foods recalls popcorn chicken

    The product may contain shrimp, an allergen not declared on the label

    Whole Foods Market is recalling packaged popcorn chicken with sweet chili sauce from 26 stores in Northern California and Reno, Nevada.

    The product may contain shrimp, an not listed on the label due to mislabeling.

    One illness has been reported to date.

    The recalled product, sold in plastic containers in the prepared foods department, was labeled as “Popcorn Chicken Shaker with Sweet Chili” with sell by dates through November 27, 2020, with PLU number 81789 on the scale label near the UPC.

    Triple E Recreational Vehicles is recalling 143 model year 2019-2020 Wonder W24FTB, W24RTB and W24MB motorhomes.

    The Multiplex G9 electronic control center can fail if excessive voltage is applied.

    Excessive voltage can cause overheating, increasing the risk of a fire.

    What to do

    Triple E will notify owners, and dealers will install a protection module on the G9 system free of charge.

    The recall is expected to begin in November 2020.

      Sunbeam recalls Crock Multi-Cookers

      The lid may suddenly detach while the product is in use

      Sunbeam Products of Boca Raton, Fla., is recalling about 933,000 Crock-Pot 6-Quart Express Crock Multi-Cookers sold in the U.S. and Canada.

      The recalled cooker can pressurize when the lid is not fully locked. This can cause the lid to suddenly detach while the product is in use, posing burn risks from hot food and liquids.

      The firm has received 119 reports of lid detachment, resulting in 99 injuries ranging in severity from first-degree to third-degree burns.

      This recall involves Crock-Pot 6-Quart Express Crock Multi-Cookers, Model Number SCCPPC600-V1, which is shown on label on bottom of unit.

      The multi-cookers were manufactured between July 1, 2017 and October 1, 2018, with date codes K196JN through K365JN and L001JN through L273JN.

      The date code is engraved on one of the prongs of the electrical plug and on the bottom of the base.

      The cookers, manufactured in China, were sold at Walmart, Target and other retail stores nationwide and online at Amazon and other online retailers from July 2017, through November 2020, for between $70 to $100.

      What to do

      Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled Crock-Pot in pressure cooker mode, but may continue to use for slow cooking and sautéing.

      Consumers should contact Crock-Pot immediately to obtain a free replacement lid.

      Consumers who continue using the multi-cooker in pressure cooker mode while waiting for the replacement lid should be certain the lid is securely turned to the fully locked position by aligning the arrow on the lid with the lock symbol on the base.

      The products may be contaminated with E. coli.

      No illnesses have been reported to date.

      The recalled products are:

      • Dole Organic Romaine Hearts 3pk (UPC 0-71430-90061-1), combined English/French packaging, with Harvested-On dates of 10-23-20 and 10-26-20, and
      • Wild Harvest Organic Romaine Hearts (UPC 7-11535-50201-2), with Harvested-On dates of 10-23-20 and 10-26-20.

      There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions to date.

      The the following items, produced from November 11, 2019, through November 11, 2020, are subject to the public health alert:

      • 12-oz. packages containing 12 pieces of “TAZA CHICKEN SAMOSAS Stuffed pastry with seasoned chicken” with best by dates of November 11, 2020 through November 11, 2021.

      The Agriculture Department’s Food Safety and Inspection Service is issuing a public health alert for Wegmans Culinary Beef Stock.

      The product, imported from Canada on or around November 5, 2020, did not undergo import re-inspection.

      A recall was not requested because it's believed the affected product is no longer available for consumers to purchase.

      No confirmed reports of adverse reactions have been received to date.

      The health alert, applies to 32-oz. cartons containing “Wegmans Beef Culinary Stock NO SALT ADDED” with UPC 7789045652 and codes 25MAR2022 and 26MAR2022 on the label.

      The product, bearing the Canadian mark of inspection for “882,” was shipped to retail locations in Massachusetts, New York and Pennsylvania.

      The firm has received 26 reports of overheating including a minor burn injury and an unspecified injury.

      This recall involves InvoSpa electric throw heated blankets measuring 50 inches by 60 inches.

      The blankets are made of silky flannel and sherpa shu velveteen and are white and gray.

      Model number ML-G03 and InvoSpa are printed on a tag on the blanket.

      The blankets, manufactured in China, were sold exclusively online at Amazon.com from November 2019, through July 2020, for about $70.

      Zinus recalls bunk beds

      The welds that secure the upper bunk can come apart

      Zinus of Tracy, Calif., , is recalling about 26,000 Zinus metal bunk beds.

      The welds that secure the upper bunk can come apart, causing the upper bunk to collapse, posing fall and injury hazards.

      The firm has received 13 reports of the bunk bed welds coming apart including three reports of multiple welds simultaneously failing.

      Of the 13 reports received, three resulted in bumps and bruises after the occupant fell to the floor.

      This recall involves three models of Zinus’ metal bunk beds:

      • The OPLBB model is a black twin-over-twin bed whose bed posts have a square cross section.
      • The RPBB model is a blue twin-over-twin bed whose bed posts have a circular cross section.
      • The NTBB model is a gray twin-over-full bed whose bed posts have a circular cross section.

      All models have ladders built into both the head and foot of the bed. The model number is printed on a label on the horizontal bar of the guard rail of the upper bunk.

      The bunk beds, manufactured in China, were sold online at www.amazon.com, www.walmart.com, www.wayfair.com, www.overstock.com, www.homedepot.com and www.zinus.com from December 2016, through January 2020, for between $90 and $240.

      What to do

      Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled upper bunk and contact the firm for instructions on receiving a free repair kit with reinforcement brackets or a full refund. Zinus is contacting all purchasers directly.

      The motor in the Bedlift System may fail

      Jayco is recalling 165 model year 2021 Vision, Emblem, Vision XL, Alante, Precept and Precept Prestige recreational vehicles with a Power Bedlift System.

      The bedlift motor may fail due to internal gear failure, causing the overhead bunk bed to release from the stowed position.

      If the bed releases unexpectedly from the stowed position while the vehicle is moving, it could contact the driver and possibly block his vision, increasing the risk of a crash and injury.

      The Agriculture Department’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) is issuing a public health alert for ready-to-eat (RTE) chicken and pork tamales.

      The products, containing tomatoes in puree recalled by Tucson Tamale Wholesale Co., of Tucson, Ariz., may be contaminated with extraneous materials -- specifically hard plastic.

      There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions.

      The following frozen items, produced between October 22, 2020, and November 9, 2020, are subject to the public health alert:

      • Cases containing eight individually packed tamales with the labels “TUCSON TAMALE GREEN CHILE CHICKEN TAMALE” or “TUCSON TAMALE Green Chile Chicken Tamales” with lot codes F20296 and F20309 and sell by dates of 10/23/22 and 11/05/22.

      Bolek’s Craft Supplys of Dover, Ohio, is recalling about 5,600 bottles of Crafty Bubbles Wintergreen Essential Oil.

      The product, which contains methyl salicylate, does not come in child resistant packaging as required by the Poison Prevention Packaging Act, posing a risk of poisoning.

      No incidents or injuries are reported.

      This recall involves Crafty Bubbles Wintergreen Essential oil in amber 15-mL and 100-mL bottles with a black continuous thread cap.

      “Crafty Bubbles,” “Wintergreen Essential Oil” and the volume amount are printed on the white label on the front of each bottle.

      The oils, manufactured in the U.S., were sold at Bolek’s Craft Supplys and Hobby Lobby stores nationwide, and online at Bolek's Craft Supplys, Notions Marketing, Petersen-Arne, Hobby Lobby and other websites from January 2009, through January 2020, for between $3 and $13.

      What to do

      The Iota ITS-50R transfer switch may malfunction

      Thor Motor Coach (TMC) is recalling 59 model year 2010-2011 Four Winds Montecito 38D, 38E, 40J, 42B, 42C motorhomes, with an Iota ITS-50R transfer switch.

      The transfer switch may experience a heat related failure due to being exposed to high electrical loads when used in higher ambient temperatures.

      If the transfer switch continues to be used, it can increase the risk of a fire.

      TMC will notify owners, and dealers will replace the Iota ITS-50R transfer switch with a different brand of switch free of charge.

      This recall involves Sunjoy’s Oakmont LP fire pit tables, measuring about 38 inches wide, 38 inches deep and 25.6 inches high.

      They have a powder-coated steel frame with an all-weather wicker base that conceals a 20 lb. liquid propane (LP) tank.

      The tables operate with push button ignition and have an adjustable flame with a steel burner cover included.

      The tables, manufactured in China, were sold exclusively at Big Lots stores nationwide and online from January 2020, through June 2020, for about $480

      Consumers should immediately stop using the fire pit tables and contact Sunjoy to receive a free replacement burner kit and installation instructions.
