    Edens Garden recalls Wintergreen and Birch Essential Oils

    The packaging is not child resistant as required by law

    Edens Garden of San Clemente, Calif., is recalling about 8,200 containers of Edens Garden 100% Pure Wintergreen and Birch Essential Oil.

    The products, which contain the substance methyl salicylate, is not in child resistant packaging as required by the law.

    No incidents or injuries are reported.

    This recall involves 100% Pure Wintergreen and Birch Essential Oils in amber glass bottles with black caps.

    The essential oils were sold in 5 mL, 10 mL, 30 mL and 4 fl. oz. The volume amount of the bottle is printed on the label.

    The Edens Garden logo is printed in black and the product name is printed in white.

    The oils, manufactured in the U.S., were sold online at Edensgarden.com from May 2018, through April 2020, for between $6 and $70.

    What to do

    Consumers should immediately store the product out of reach of children in a safe location and contact Edens Garden for a free replacement child resistant cap. Edens Garden is contacting all known purchasers directly about the recall.

    Model year 2020-2021 Rockwood trailers recalled

    The federal placard has an incorrect Gross Axle Weight Rating

    Forest River is recalling 74 model year 2020-2021 Rockwood trailers, model RLT2205S-W.

    The Gross Axle Weight Rating (GWAR) listed on the federal placard is incorrect.

    An incorrect GWAR may result in the operator unknowingly overloading the vehicle, causing loss of control and increasing the risk of a crash.

    What to do

    Forest River will notify owners, and dealers will provide replacement placards that contain the accurate information free of charge.

    This recall is expected to begin August 5, 2020.

    Transliquid Technologies recalls Mystic Shield Protection Topical Solution

    The products contain methanol, which is not declared on the label

    Transliquid Technologies is recalling Mystic Shield Protection Topical Solution.

    The products contain methanol, which is not declared on the label.

    Substantial methanol exposure could result in nausea, vomiting, headache, blurred vision, permanent blindness, seizures, coma, permanent damage to the nervous system or death.

    The firm has not received any reports of adverse events.

    The alcohol-based hand sanitizer is packaged in an 8.45-oz. (250 ml) blue or green labeled bottle with a white or transparent cap and bears a green or blue label identifying Mystic Shield Protection.

    The recalled product was shipped from May 21, 2020, to June 30, 2020, to select wholesale and retail customers in California, Louisiana, Massachusetts and Texas. 

    What to do

    Transliquid Technologies is notifying its customers by email and first-class U.S. Mail and is arranging for the return of all recalled products.

    Customers who purchased the recalled product should stop using and return it to the place of purchase.

      Triple E recalls model year 2020 Wonder motorhomes

      A loose wiring connector may short and cause a fire

      Triple E Recreational Vehicles is recalling ten model year 2020 Wonder W24RTB, W24MB, and W24FTB motorhomes built on a Ford transit chassis.

      The CCP1 electrical connection located on the driver's seat base was not tightened to the correct specification and may short circuit.

      If the CCP1 electrical connection short circuits, there would be an increased risk of a fire.

      What to do

      Triple E has notified owners, and dealers will tighten the electrical connection to specification, free of charge.

      This recall began June 26, 2020.

      Forest River recalls various RVs and truck campers

      The vehicle's frameless window glass panels may detach

      Forest River is recalling 732 model year 2020 Cedar Creek, Columbus, Flagstaff, Coachmen Apex, Palomino, Rockwood & Sunseeker recreational vehicles, and Palomino soft and hard-side truck campers and Real-Lite Truck Campers.

      The adhesive bond between the glass and the metal hinge frame of the frameless crank out vent and egress windows may fail which would then allow the glass to detach and fall out.

      If the window glass detaches while the vehicle is moving it could become a projectile, increasing the risk of injury or a crash.

      What to do

      Forest River will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the windows for proper adhesive bond strength, replacing the windows -- as necessary -- free of charge.

      This recall is expected to begin August 3, 2020.

      The product may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes

      Norpac Fisheries Export is recalling all fresh shrimp poke distributed in the Hawaiian Island between May 11, 2020, and June 25, 2020.

      The product may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.

      No illnesses have been reported to date.

      The recalled product is distributed as pre-mixed in plastic pouches and goes to service counter and then dishes out in various weight increments into a “deli cup.” It was sold at Safeway Stores.

      What to do

      Customers who purchased the recalled product should return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.

      The federal certification label contains the incorrect VIN

      Volkswagen Group of America is recalling two model year 2018 Golf GTIs.

      The vehicle identification number (VIN) printed on the federal certification label may not match the VIN on the vehicle.

      If the stamped VIN does not match the one on the vehicle certification label, owners may be unable to tell if their vehicle is under an important safety recall, possibly exposing them to an increased risk of a crash, fire or injury.

      What to do

      Volkswagen will notify owners, and dealers will install a correct certification label free of charge.

      This recall is expected to begin July 31, 2020.

      Newell recalls model year 2020-2021 P50 motor coaches

      Trim cover may detach and block the brake pedal

      Newell Coach is recalling 42 model year 2020-2021 P50 motor coaches.

      The decorative cover for the center console column may be knocked loose by the driver's foot, allowing the piece to become lodged under the brake pedal.

      If the cover piece becomes lodged under the brake pedal, the ability to stop the coach may be affected, increasing the risk of a crash.

      What to do

      Newell will notify owners and request the owners remove and discard the decorative cover. Dealers will install a replacement apron cover free of charge.

      This recall is expected to begin July 13, 2020.

      Avalon Furniture recalls Cottage Town bedroom furniture

      The base coat paint on pieces within the furniture collection contains excessive lead levels

      Avalon Furniture of Houston, Texas, is recalling about 9,500 Cottage Town Bedroom Furniture Collection sets

      The base coat paint used on pieces within the furniture collection contains levels of lead that exceed the federal lead paint standard. Lead is toxic if ingested by young children and can cause adverse health effects.

      No incidents or illnesses are reported.

      This recall involves the Cottage Town Bedroom Furniture Collection, manufactured by Avalon Furniture, and was sold in white, black, and gray colors.

      The recalled furniture includes the dresser, mirror, king headboard, king footboard, queen headboard, queen footboard, chest, and gent’s chest, manufactured between August 1, 2019, and December 18, 2019.

      Vertical wood paneling is featured on the front or sides of each piece. A label containing the product’s SKU number and manufacture date is located on the back of each furniture piece. This label is placed on the dresser, nightstand, chest, and gent’s chest in the top left corner of the back panel.

      The label on the mirror is located on the bottom left of the back panel and for the headboard and footboard, on the bottom right of the back panel.

      Brake Parts recalls Raybestos, NAPA and AC Delco brake master cylinders

      The master cylinder piston may not be properly secured, causing a loss of braking ability

      Brake Parts, Inc. is recalling 1,330 brake master cylinders sold under Raybestos, NAPA, and AC Delco brands, part numbers MC391232, M4840, and 18M2578.

      The master cylinders were sold as aftermarket replacement parts for model year 2012-2017 Volkswagen Beetles, model year 2005-2018 Volkswagen Jettas and model year 2007-2010 Volkswagen Jetta GLIs.

      Due to insufficient crimping of the aluminum housing, the master cylinder piston may not be secured properly, causing a loss of braking ability and allowing brake fluid to leak into the vacuum booster.

      If the piston pops out of the master cylinder housing, a change in brake pedal travel and feel may result, including increased pedal effort and reduced brake function, increasing the risk of a crash.

      What to do

      Brake Parts will notify the distributors that sold this product. The manufacturer has yet to develop a remedy for this recall.

      The recall is expected to begin August 10, 2020.

      Dometic recalls CFX3 Series chest refrigerators

      DC appliances on the same circuit may fail

      Dometic Corporation is recalling 5,533 CFX3 Series chest refrigerators (models CFX3 35, CFX3 45, CFX3 55IM, CFX3 75DZ, CFX3 95DZ and CFX3 100).

      The protection device on the electrical circuit may fail when the refrigerator is connected to both AC and DC power, allowing the AC/DC power supply to back feed through some or all of the other appliances (such as the air conditioner, water pump, lights, furnace, etc.) that are connected to the 12V DC system.

      A voltage overload may result, causing DC appliances on the same circuit to fail.

      What to do

      Dometic has not yet identified a proposed remedy plan.

      The manufacturer has not yet provided a notification schedule for owners or dealers.

      Chengdu Ai Qin E-commerce Co., is recalling1,362 pairs of colored contact lenses.

      The contact lenses were distributed without FDA clearance and may pose a threat to health.

      The company says it has received no complaints to date.

      Boy Scouts of America recalls Cub Scout activity pins

      The pin’s face and shaft contain excessive levels of lead

      Boy Scouts of America of Charlotte, N.C., is recalling about 78,000 Cub Scout activity pins.

      The pin’s face and shaft contain levels of lead that exceed the federal lead content ban. Lead is toxic if ingested by young children and can cause adverse health issues.

      No incidents or injuries are reported.

      This recall involves Boy Scouts of America’s Cub Scout outdoor activity pins. The rhomboid-shaped pin is silver with a gold animal paw painted on a blue background.

      The pins, manufactured in China, were sold exclusively at Boy Scouts of America retail stores and authorized distributors nationwide and online at www.scoutshop.org from April 2016, through January 2020, for about $1.

      What to do

      Consumers should immediately take the recalled pin away from children and return the pin to any Boy Scouts of America retail store or contact Boy Scout of America’s National Distribution Center for a full refund, including shipping, or for a merchandise credit.

      The fender liner may damage the brake line

      Forest River is recalling 375 model year 2020-2021 Coachmen Galleria & Dynamax Isata, and Forest River Battisti Coach, Forester, and Sunseeker motorhomes built on model year2019 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter chassis.

      The rear part of the front fender liner may contact and chafe the brake hose, possibly resulting in a loss of brake fluid.

      Loss of brake fluid can extend the distance needed to stop the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

      What to do

      Forest River will notify owners, and Mercedes-Benz or Freightliner Sprinter dealers will inspect and replace the brake hoses as necessary.

      Additionally, the fender liners will be modified.

      All services will be performed free of charge.

      A wiring connector in the vehicle underbody may not be properly secured, allowing water intrusion into the wiring connector.

      If water enters the wiring connector, it can cause a short circuit, increasing the risk of a fire.

      What to do

      Grand Design will notify owners, and dealers will inspect and secure the wiring connectors up to prevent water intrusion free of charge.
