    RLC Labs recalls Nature-Throid and WP Thyroid tablets

    Lab testing has found samples of the medication to be sub potent.

    RLC Labs is recalling a total of 483 lots of Nature-Throid and WP Thyroid in all strengths.

    Testing by the Food and Drug Administration found samples of the medication to be sub potent.

    Patients being treated for underactive thyroid, who receive sub potent Nature-Throid or WP Thyroid may experience signs and symptoms of underactive thyroid which may include, fatigue, increased sensitivity to cold, constipation, dry skin, puffy face, hair loss, slow heart rate, depression, swelling of the thyroid gland and/or unexplained weight gain or difficulty losing weight. 

    There have been no reports of adverse events related to this recall.

    The recalled products are composed of liothyronine and levothyroxine, packaged in 30, 60, 90, 100 and 1,000 count bottles, and distributed nationwide.

    What to do

    Patients currently taking Nature-Throid and WP Thyroid should not discontinue use without contacting their healthcare provider for further guidance and/or replacement prescription.

    Hongkong Sun Rise Trading recalls Kobalt cordless electric pole saws

    The saw may continue running after the user releases the trigger

    Hongkong Sun Rise Trading of China is recalling about 106,500 Kobalt brand 40-volt Lithium Ion 8-inch cordless electric pole saws sold in the U.S. and Canada.

    The switch on the pole saws can fail while under a heavy load, and cause the unit to continue running after the user releases the trigger, posing a laceration hazard to consumers.

    The firm has received 65 reports of the saws continuing to run. No injuries have been reported.

    This recall involves Kobalt brand 40-volt lithium ion 8-inch cordless electric pole saws manufactured from January 2017, through February 2019.

    The item number and date code are printed on the side of the guide bar near the oil cap, and “Kobalt” is printed on the side of the unit.

    The pole saws, manufactured in China, were sold exclusively at

    Lowe’s Stores nationwide and online at Lowes.com from March 2017, through October 2019, for about $180.

    What to do

    Firefly Integrations recalls Multiplex G9 units

    The electronic control center circuit board may short

    Firefly Integrations is recalling 2,682 Multiplex G9 units used for controlling equipment and accessories in motorhomes.

    These units can fail if excessive voltage is applied, causing the components on the board to become damaged.

    If too much voltage is applied to the unit and the circuit board becomes damaged, there would be an increased risk of a fire.

    What to do

    Firefly has notified the RV manufacturers that purchased the affected multiplex units. and dealers for those RV manufacturers will add an additional circuit module to the existing component board to provide reverse polarity and over-current protection.

      Kobalt cordless electric chainsaws recalled

      The chainsaw can remain in the “on” position, posing a laceration hazard

      Hongkong Sun Rise Trading of China is recalling about 151,400  Kobalt brand 40-volt lithium ion cordless electric chainsaws sold in the U.S. and Canada.

      The chainsaw can remain in the “on” position, posing a laceration hazard to consumers.

      The firm has received 48 reports of the switch contacts welding causing the chainsaw to remain in the “on” position. No injuries have been reported.

      This recall involves Kobalt brand 40-volt lithium ion 12-inch cordless electric chainsaws with date codes from 11/01/13 to 03/31/20.

      The chain saws are blue and black, with “Kobalt,” “40v max” and “12 in. 30 cm” are printed on the chain saw.

      The model number and date code, which are printed on the label located in the rear handle, and the UPC located on the box, may be found here.

      The chainsaws. Manufactured in China, were sold exclusively at Lowe’s Stores nationwide and online at Lowes.com from January 2014, through March 2020, for about $200.

      What to do

      The engine may not receive enough fuel

      Kia Motors America is recalling 635 model year 2020-2021 Stingers.

      The fuel pump's jet nozzle may have a plastic burr remaining from the manufacturing process, possibly causing a blocked nozzle and an insufficient fuel supply to the engine.

      Insufficient fuel supply to the engine can result in a loss of drive power, increasing the risk of a crash.

      What to do

      Kia will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the fuel pump and replace the jet nozzle housing assembly -- if necessary -- free of charge.

      The recall is expected to begin October 29, 2020.

      The product may contain anchovies, an allergen not declared on the label.

      No illnesses have been reported to date.

      The recalled product, which comes in a 14-oz (397 gram) plastic white rectangular tray with skin vacuum seal with Best If Used By/Freeze By: 9/15/2020 and prior, was sold in retail stores including Natural Foods grocers, independent markets and Publix supermarkets in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia.

      Jayco is recalling 4,036 of the following motorhomes:

      • Model year 2016-2018 Jayco Seneca,

      The mounting brackets for the leveling system hydraulic pump and reservoir may fail allowing the components to contact the ground.

      Contact with the ground may cause the pump and reservoir to detach or leak hydraulic fluids, increasing the risk of a crash.

      The federal placard may not show the proper water amount for the trailer

      Forest River is recalling 273 model year 2014-2016 Vengeance BVGF312A, BCKT24PACK14, BVGF312A, BVGF315A11, BVGF316A, BVGF316A11, BVGF320A, BWZVGF312A, BWZVGF316A and BWZVGF320A trailers.

      The federal placard may indicate an incorrect amount of water for trailers with the 100-gallon option, allowing the trailer to be overloaded.

      Sun Pharmaceutical recalls RIOMET ER

      The medication contains a high level of N-Nitrosodimethylamine

      Sun Pharmaceutical Industries is voluntarily recalling one lot of RIOMET ER (metformin hydrochloride for extended-release oral suspension).

      The medication contains a level of N-Nitrosodimethylamine (NDMA) above the allowable Acceptable Daily Intake (ADI) limit established by the Food and Drug Administration.

      NDMA is classified as a probable human carcinogen (a substance that could cause cancer).

      The firm has not received any reports of adverse events to date.

      Specifics of the recalled lot of the prescription oral medication, used as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in adults and pediatric patients 10 years of age and older with type 2 diabetes mellitus, may be found here.

      The recalled product was distributed nationwide to wholesale customers.

      What to do

      Patients taking RIOMET ER should continue taking their medication and contact their pharmacist, physician, or medical provider for advice regarding an alternative treatment.

      The front Trim strip may be missing from the refrigerator

      Gulf Stream Coach is recalling 32 model year 2020 Enlighten 25BH and 248BH travel trailers.

      The lower front trim strip may be missing from the refrigerator. The front strip is required to make the refrigerator cabinet seal complete, and provides complete isolation of the combustion system from the travel trailer interior.

      Without the front trim strip, carbon monoxide or flammable unburned Liquid Petroleum (LP) gases may migrate into the living quarters of the travel trailer, increasing the risk of fire or carbon monoxide poisoning causing occupant injury.

      What to do

      Gulf Stream will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the trailers and verify that the seal at the bottom of the refrigerator cabinet is installed properly free of charge.

      The recall is expected to begin in September 2020.

      MWE Investments recalls Westinghouse portable generators

      The generators can leak fuel, posing a fire and burn hazard

      MWE Investments of Columbus, Ohio, is recalling about 7,500 Dual Fuel Portable Generators.

      The generators can leak fuel, posing a fire and burn hazard.

      The firm has received 26 reports of fuel leaking from the fuel valve. No fires, injuries or property damage have been reported.

      This recall involves Westinghouse WGen5300DFv Dual Fuel Portable Generators and Westinghouse iGen4500DF Dual Fuel Inverter Portable Generators with manufacture dates from October 2019 through December 2019. The dual fuel generators can run on gasoline or propane.

      The WGen5300DFv has a bright blue and black metal exterior and has “Westinghouse” and “WGen5300DFv” printed in white lettering on the control panel on the side of the generator. The generator has a fold down handle and wheels for portability, measures about 23.3 inches long by 20 inches wide inches by 19.29 inches tall without its wheel kit and weighs about 129 pounds.

      The iGen4500DF has a bright blue plastic cover and has “Westinghouse iGen4500DF” printed in white lettering on both side panels. It measures about 29.7 inches long by 19.7 wide inches by 22 inches tall and weighs about 105 pounds.

      Affected units will have one of the following serial numbers, which can be found on the unit’s back panel (the “x” fields are specific to individual units):

      • 04511A1019xxxxxxxxx
      • 04511A1219xxxxxxxxx
      • 5311A1219xxxxxxxxx

      The generators were manufactured in China and Vietnam.

      The WGen500DFv was sold at Sam’s Club nationwide and online at SamsClub.com.

      The iGen4500DF was sold online at amazon.com, homedepot.com, lowes.com, electricgeneratorsdirect.com, powerequipmentdirect.com, norwall.com, and other online locations.

      The generators were sold from January 2020, through May 2020, for between $450 and $1,050, depending on the model.

      Grand Design RV is recalling 8,161 model year 2017-2021 Solitude recreational trailers.

      The liquid propane (LP) supply line that runs through the exterior lower refrigerator compartment may contact the burner tube of the refrigerator, possibly damaging the line, causing an LP gas leak, increasing the risk of a fire,.

      What to do

      Grand Design will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the LP supply line for damage replacing it as necessary. All lines in the vicinity of the burner tube will be wrapped in a thermal foil heat barrier material, then secured away from the burner tube of the refrigerator with additional P-clamps, free of charge.

      The recall is expected to begin September 30, 2020.

      The cables do not meet UL flammability requirements

      Monoprice of Brea, Calif., is recalling about 10,800 Monoprice Category 6 Ethernet Bulk CMR Communications Cables.

      The cables do not meet the flammability requirements of the UL 1666 voluntary safety standard, posing a fire hazard when the cable is exposed to a flame.

      No incidents or injuries are reported.

      This recall involves the Monoprice Category 6 Ethernet Bulk CMR Communications cable designed to prevent fires from spreading between floors through risers and vertical shafts. They contain 100% pure copper wire and are primarily used to wire your home or office for a high-speed network.

      The cables were sold in a variety of colors including yellow, white, blue, black, red, orange, gray, pink and purple, and came in various lengths including 250, 500 and 1000 foot spools.

      The cable has (UL) E467139 23AWGX4P CMR CAT6 UTP RoHS Compliance XXXXFT, (UL) E333346 23AWGX4P CMR CAT6 UTP RoHS Compliance XXXXFT or (UL) E339722 23AWGX4P CMR CAT6 UTP RoHS Compliance XXXXFT printed on the surface.
