    Forest River recalls Surveyor travel trailers

    The safety chains may break if the trailer becomes unhitched

    Forest River is recalling 88 model year 2020-2021 Surveyor travel trailers, model SVT296QBLE.

    The safety chains are insufficient for the trailer's Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) and may break if the trailer comes unhitched.

    If the trailer becomes detached from the tow-vehicle, the safety chains may break, leading to complete detachment and potential property damage, personal injury or a crash.

    What to do

    Forest River will notify owners, and a dealer or service center will replace the safety chains free of charge.

    The recall is expected to begin July 1, 2020.

    Vac-Tron recalls Vacuum Excavator trailers

    The vehicle may have improper clearance

    Vac-Tron Equipment, a subsidiary of Vermeer Manufacturing Company is recalling 105 model year 2016-2020 CS1273GT, CS870GT, CS1270GT, CS873GT, CV1273GT, CV1273SGT and LP1273XDT Vacuum Excavator trailers.

    The front clearance lamps may be positioned improperly and an insufficient amount of conspicuity tape may have been applied on the sides and rear.

    The trailers may also may also lack side or rear reflex reflectors.

    Due to the improper position of the lamps, insufficient reflective tape, and lack of reflectors, the vacuum excavator trailer may not be sufficiently visible during low visibility conditions, increasing the risk of a crash.

    What to do

    Vac-Tron will notify owners, and Vermeer dealers will install remedy kits provided by Vac-Tron free of charge.

    This recall is expected to begin July 13, 2020.

    Amneal Pharmaceuticals recalls Metformin Hydrochloride Extended Release Tablets

    The medication may be contaminated with a probable cancer-causer

    Amneal Pharmaceuticals of Bridgewater, N.J., is recalling all lots of Metformin Hydrochloride Extended Release Tablets.

    FDA testing of seven lots of the medication, used as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve blood sugar control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus, showed N-Nitrosodimethylamine (NDMA) amounts above acceptable FDA levels.

    NDMA is classified as a probable human carcinogen (a substance that could cause cancer).

    There are no reports of adverse events.

    Amneal’s Metformin Hydrochloride Immediate Release Tablets, USP are not affected by this recall.

      Altec recalls Aerial Devices and body only units

      The tow hitch may have incorrect load rating markings

      Altec Industries is recalling 500 model year 2014-2020 Aerial Devices and body only units with Class 3 towing hitches.

      The tow hitch may have incorrect load rating markings, and may have been damaged by unintentional overloading.

      An overloaded tow hitch may fail, increasing the risk of a crash.

      What to do

      Altec will notify owners and provide instructions for inspecting the bumper and receiver tube for damage and repairing as necessary and installing the proper hitch load rating placards on the unit.

      This recall is expected to begin July 21, 2020.

      Various Yamabond chemical products recalled

      The products lack Canadian bilingual labeling and hazard information

      Yamaha Motor Canada Ltd. is recalling various Yamabond chemical products.

      The products do not meet the labeling requirements for consumer chemical products required by the Consumer Chemicals and Containers Regulations.

      The company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada.

      The following chemical products, sold throughout Canada, are being recalled:

      Triple E recalls model year 2020 Unity travel trailers

      The utility compartment door latch may become locked

      Triple E Recreational Vehicles is recalling 61 model year 2020 Unity travel trailers, model U24RL.

      The utility compartment's inner latch mechanism may rotate due to vehicle motion, becoming locked.

      A locked utility compartment prevents access to the liquid propane (LP) shutoff valve. In a propane leak at the regulator, this may increase the risk of a fire in the presence of an ignition source.

      What to do

      Triple E will notify owners, and dealers will repair the utility compartment latch mechanism free of charge.

      This recall is expected to begin in June 2020.

      Information on the federal identification tag and tire inflation pressure label is incorrect

      KZRV is recalling 16 model year 2018 Escape recreational trailers.

      The federal identification tag and tire inflation pressure label contain an incorrect Gross Axle Weight Rating (GAWR), and an incorrect tire and rim size with incorrect tire inflation pressure, which can result in the tires being overinflated.

      Overinflated tires may affecting vehicle handling, increasing the risk of a crash.

      What to do

      KZRV will mail corrected labels to owners with instructions for their application free of charge.

      Vermeer Manufacturing subsidiary Vac-Tron Equipment is recalling 150 model year 2016-2020 CS870GT, CS873GT, LP Mini 373 DT, and LP Mini 373 GT Vacuum Excavator trailers.

      The front clearance lamps may be positioned improperly and an insufficient amount of conspicuity tape may have been applied on the sides and rear. Additionally, side or rear reflex reflectors may also be missing.

      Improper position of the lamps, insufficient reflective tape, and lack of reflectors may reduce the visibility of the vacuum excavator trailer, increasing the risk of a crash.

      What to do

      Vac-Tron will notify owners, and Vermeer dealers will install remedy kits provided by Vac-Tron free of charge.

      CHS Nutrition recalls goat feed

      The product contains elevated levels of Rumensin (monensin).

      CHS Nutrition of Hermiston, Ore., is recalling 510 bags (50 lbs. each) of Champion Meat Goat Pellets R20, Medicated Feed.

      The product contains elevated levels of Rumensin (monensin), an FDA-approved drug for use in certain animal feeds. Excessive amounts oc monensin, can cause monensin toxicity in a number of animal species including goats, making them susceptible to injury and death.

      In humans, monensin could affect handlers of highly concentrated products by causing irritation of the skin, eyes, and respiratory tract through direct exposure.

      Three goats have died, and three additional goats were ill but have recovered.

      The recalled product is pelleted dry feed and bagged in poly bags with the words “Payback Champion Feeds” printed on the bag. Each bag weighs 50 lbs and contains tags with lot number 6705 HM928510 04/17/20 and the UPC code 48252 48640.

      It was shipped to three consignees in Oregon and Washington from April 20 – 29, 2020. NW Farm Supply in Hermiston, Oreg., and in Prosser, Wash., sold the recalled product to downstream customers.

      What to do

      NDMA is classified as a probable human carcinogen (a substance that could cause cancer).

      Nestle recalls Lean Cuisine Fettuccini Alfredo

      The product contains soy, an allergen not declared on the label

      Nestle Prepared Foods Company of Jonesboro, Ark., is recalling approximately 29,002 pounds of chicken product labeled as Lean Cuisine Fettuccini Alfredo

      The product contains soy, an allergen not declared on the label.

      In addition, the Lean Cuisine Fettuccini Alfredo is not supposed to contain chicken and chicken does not appear in the ingredients statement or on the label.

      No adverse reactions are reported.

      The following item, produced and packaged on April 22, 2020, is being recalled:

      • 9 1/4-oz. retail carton containing “LEAN CUISINE favorites Fettuccini Alfredo tender pasta with a creamy cheese sauce” with a lot code “0113587812 A,” “0113587812 B,” “0113587812 C,” or “0113587812 D” and a date of “MAY 2021” on side of the label.

      The recalled product, bearing establishment number “P27333” printed on the package next to the lot codes, was shipped to retail locations nationwide.

      What to do

      Customers who who purchased the recalled product should not consume it, but discard or return it to the place of purchase.
