    Appco Pharma recalls Ranitidine Hydrochloride Capsules

    The products are contaminated with NDMA, a probable cancer causer

    Appco Pharma is recalling all quantities and lots of Ranitidine Hydrochloride Capsules.

    The products, used for the treatment of conditions including duodenal ulcer, benign gastric ulcer, reflux esophagitis, are contaminated with N-Nitrosodimethylamine (NDMA) above levels established by the FDA.

    NDMA is classified as a probable substance that could cause cancer.

    Appco has not received any reports of adverse events to date.

    The following products, packaged in bottles, are being recalled:

    The trailer hitch bolts may not be tightened properly

    MORryde International is recalling 219 model year 2020 Forest River Georgetown and FR3 motorhomes that MORryde modified. The trailer hitch bolts may have been improperly tightened, which can cause them to loosen.

    If the bolts loosen, a towed trailer or vehicle could detach from the motorhome, increasing the risk of a crash.

    What to do

    Forest River will notify owners, and Forest River dealers will properly tighten the bolts free of charge.

    The slim-rack slide out mechanisms may activate unintentionally, extending or retracting the slide room unexpectedly.

    If the slide-room extends or retracts unexpectedly, there is an increased risk of injury or a crash.

    What to do

    Forest River will notify owners, and dealers will install a new controller and switch for the slideout mechanism free of charge.

    The recall is expected to begin January 27, 2020.

      The recalled product, which comes in a 12-oz. glass container with a sell by date of Jul 29, 2020, on the lid of the jar, was sold at various retail stores in Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana, Maine, Massachusetts, Missouri, New Hampshire, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, Vermont and Virginia.

      The Thompson’s Company recalls aerosol waterproofing wood and masonry protectors

      The product may leak from the container, posing a fire hazard

      The Thompson’s Company of Cleveland, Ohio, is recalling about 850,000 cans of Thompson’s WaterSeal Waterproofing Wood Protector and Masonry Protector.

      The contents of the cans can react with the package, causing rust to form along the can seam, which could spread to other areas of the can and create pinhole leaks.

      Leaking propellant poses a fire hazard when it comes into contact with sources of ignition, and can also result in property damage.

      The firm has received approximately 18 reports of leaking cans from retailers. No injuries, fires or property damage were reported.

      This recall involves Thompson’s WaterSeal waterproofing wood and masonry protectors in aerosol cans. The products are used to coat exterior wood to prevent water damage.

      The aerosol cans are 11 ounces and have a green or blue cap. “Thompson’s WaterSeal,” “Wood Protector” or “Masonry Protector,” the item number and UPC code are printed on the can.

      Libbey Glass recalls milk bottles

      The bottles can break unexpectedly during use

      Libbey Glass of Toledo, Ohio, is recalling about 44,3000 milk bottles.

      The bottles can break unexpectedly during use, posing a laceration hazard.

      No incidents or injuries are reported.

      The Libbey Glass 33.5-oz. milk bottles are clear colorless glass bottles with no markings that measure about 8½ inches high by 3¼ inches wide at the base.

      The recalled bottles can be identified by their original packaging: Cartons with item number 92129 and manufacturing dates of either August 15, 2019, or August 31, 2019.

      If your establishment received these bottles after August 15, 2019, contact your distributor to determine if you received affected bottles.

      The bottles, manufactured in China, were sold to various foodservice distributors including Edward Don & Company and The Wasserstrom Company for about $2 per bottle.

      What to do

      Foodservice establishments and customers should immediately stop using the recalled milk bottles and contact the firm to receive a refund in the form of a credit voucher or a free replacement bottle
