O&H Danish Bakery of Racine, Wisc. is recalling 3,173 units of Almond Kringle sold in Trader Joe’s retail stores.

The product may contain pecans, an allergen not declared on the label.

No illnesses have been reported to date.

The 1-lb, 8-oz, product, packaged in a white wax paper bakery bag marked with batch code #26720, was shipped to Trader Joe’s stores in Texas, Tennessee, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Louisiana, Colorado, Kansas, Arkansas and Alabama.

What to do

Customers with an allergy to pecans who purchased the recalled product should not consume it, but discard or return it to any Trader Joe’s for a full refund.

Alternatively, customers may send an email to TJrecall@ohdanishbakery.com with a picture of the product label for a replacement item delivered to their door.
