    The steering column may detach from the steering rack

    Kia Motors America is recalling 30 model year 2021-2022 Rios and Fortes.

    A bolt in the steering column may not be secured properly, which can cause the steering column to detach from the steering rack and result in a loss of steering control.

    Loss of steering control can increase the risk of a crash.

    What to do

    Dealers will tighten the lower steering column u-joint retention bolt free of charge.

    Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed on May 27, 2022.

    The following items, sold at H-E-B and Joe V’s Smart Shop stores in Texas and Mexico, are being recalled:

      The TJX Companies of Framingham, Mass., is recalling three vegan chocolate products.

      The products may contain milk, an allergen not declared on the label. One illness has been reported to date.

      The following products, sold at T.J. Maxx, Marshalls, HomeGoods, Sierra, and Homesense stores nationwide, are being recalled:

      • Pimlico Confectioners Vegan Fine Hazelnut Truffles in a 3.88-ounce green plastic package.
      • Keats London Vegan Hazelnut Dark Chocolate in a 4.93-ounce round green plastic package.
      • Keats London Vegan Irish Cream Truffles in a 4.93-ounce round blue plastic package.

      What to do

      Customers who have purchased the recalled products and have an allergy or sensitivity to milk should not consume them. Instead, they should return them to the store where they were purchased.

      Kia recalls model year 2022 EV6 vehicles

      A software error may allow the vehicle to roll away

      Kia Motor America is recalling 9,014 model year 2022 EV6 vehicles.

      A software error in the Shifter Control Unit (SCU) may disengage the parking mechanism, which can allow the vehicle to roll away.

      Vehicle rollaway can increase the risk of a crash or injury.

      What to do

      Owners should park their vehicles on level ground and avoid parking on a slope/inclined surface whenever possible until a remedy has been performed.

      Dealers will update the Shifter Control Unit software free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed on May 25, 2022.

      Winter Water Factory recalls various infant garments

      The snaps on the garments can detach

      Winter Water Factory of Brooklyn, N.Y., is recalling about 46,700 infant French terry jumpsuits, rompers, snap suits, baby dresses, and bibs sold in the U.S. and Canada.

      The snaps on the garments can detach and expose small sharp prongs. This could pose choking and laceration hazards to young children.

      The firm has received 29 reports of the snaps detaching between the prong ring and the stud or socket piece. No injuries have been reported.

      This recall involves all infant French terry jumpsuits, rompers, snap suits, baby dresses, and bibs from the Fall 2020, Spring 2021, Fall 2021, and Spring 2022, seasons.

      The garments were sold in infant sizes 0M – 3T in various prints in the following styles: French terry jumpsuit, long-sleeve romper, summer romper, tank top romper, bubble romper, footed romper, long-sleeve snap suit, short-sleeve snap suit, Azalea baby dress, Oslo baby Dress, Juniper baby dress, Geneva baby dress, Merano baby dress, Kerchief bib, and French terry bib.

      The recalled garments can be identified by one of the following codes at the bottom of the label on the back of the neck:

      • TX-JM-I-XXII
      • TX-JM-VII-XXI
      • TX-JM-I-XXI
      • TX-JM-VII-XX

      The garments, manufactured in the U.S., were sold at small boutique stores nationwide and online at www.winterwaterfactory.com from August 2020, through April 2022, for between $19 and $49, depending on the style.

      What to do

      Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled jumpsuits, rompers, snap suits, baby dresses, and bibs and contact Winter Water Factory for instructions on how to receive a full refund or a refund in the form of store credit.

      Consumers should destroy the recalled garments by cutting them in half with scissors. They can then upload a photo of the destroyed garment(s) to the company’s website here. Upon receipt of the photo, consumers will be issued their choice of a full refund of the purchase price or store credit with an additional 20% of the purchase price, whichever is higher.

      Lexus is recalling 4,215 model year 2022 NX250, NX350, NX350h, and NX450h+ vehicles.

      Missing spot-welds between the body panels and the front shock absorber mounting areas may cause the front shock absorber to separate from the mounting area.

      A separated shock absorber can cause a loss of vehicle stability, increasing the risk of a crash.

      What to do

      A remedy for this issue is currently under development. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed on June 6, 2022.

      The garments fail to meet flammability standards

      NewCosplay of China is recalling about 3,160 children’s robes

      The robes do not meet flammability standards for children’s sleepwear. This means the robes could pose a risk of burn injuries.

      No incidents or injuries have been reported.

      This recall involves NewCosplay children’s robes made of 100% micro polyester and sold in sizes 3T through 12 that come in 22 different patterns.

      The robes have a sewn-in side seam belt, two functional front pockets, and a hood that is character-themed with a mane, ears, and horn.

      The sewn-in neck label displays the fiber content, washing instructions, and “Made in China.” The sewn-in side seam label displays the garment’s size.

      The robes were sold online at www.newcosplay.net and www.amazon.com from December 2021, through March 2022, for between $14 and $30, depending on the style.

      What to do

      Consumers should immediately take the recalled robes away from children, stop using them, and contact NewCosplay for a full refund.

      Consumers who purchased the robes from Amazon.com will be contacted through Amazon’s messaging platform and provided with prepaid mailers to return the products for a full refund. Consumers may also contact NewCosplay to request a postage prepaid mailer to return the products for a full refund.

      The garments fail to meet the federal flammability standards

      Linum Home Textiles of Ridgefield, N.J., is recalling about 44,600 children’s robes.

      The robes fail to meet the federal flammability standards for children’s sleepwear, posing a risk of burn injuries.

      No incidents or injuries have been reported.

      This recall involves children’s 100 percent cotton terry robes. The long-sleeved, hooded robes have two front pockets and a sewn-in, side-seam matching belt.

      The robes were sold in sizes small, medium, and large and in white, navy, pink, gray, and purple. “Made in Turkey,” “100% Combed Turkish Cotton,” the size, and the washing instructions are printed on a sewn-in, side-seam label.

      The robes were sold online at Amazon.com, QVC.com, Overstock.com, Groupon.com, Wayfair.com, Zulily.com, Bedbathandbeyond.com, Boscovs.com, Houzz.com, JCPenney.com, Kohls.com, Linumtowels.com, and TorreyCommerce.com from July 2017, through April 2022, for between $25 and $40.

      What to do

      Consumers should immediately take the recalled robes away from children and contact Linum Home Textiles to receive a pre-paid mailer and instructions on how to return the robes for a full refund.

      Generac recalls Generac and DR Power electric start pressure washers

      The electronic start/stop button can malfunction

      Generac Power Systems of Waukesha, Wis., is recalling about 55,000 electric start pressure washers sold in the U.S. and Canada.

      The electronic start/stop button can malfunction and self-start, posing a risk of carbon monoxide poisoning if the unit is in a confined space.

      The firm has received nine reports of the pressure washers self-starting and operating without being connected to a water supply. No injuries or property damage have been reported.

      This recall involves Generac and DR Power brand electric start pressure washers with model numbers DPW3100DEN, DPW3101DEN, DPW3102DEN, G0071320, G0071321, G0071430, and G0071431.

      The electric start pressure washers have an electric start/stop button for the unit’s gasoline-powered engines, as well as a rechargeable battery used to power the button. The model and serial numbers are printed on a label located on the product’s frame.

      Consumers can check the specific unit types, model numbers, and serial numbers of affected products here. A list of the recalled Generac and DR Power brand electric start pressure washers may be found here.

      The power washers, manufactured in the U.S., were sold at major home improvement and hardware stores nationwide and online, including Ace Hardware, Amazon, City Electric Supply, Costco, Do It Best, eBay, Essendant, Fastenal, Home Depot, Lowe’s Stores, Menard’s, Orgill, Power Equipment Direct, Ravitsky Bros., Tractor Supply, True Value, and Walmart from February 2018, through February 2022, for between $450 and $650.

      What to do

      Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled pressure washers, unless they have removed the rechargeable battery, and contact Generac to arrange to have an authorized dealer replace the start/stop switch free of charge. Generac is contacting known consumers directly to provide more details about the repair.

      The pressure washer can continue to be used with the battery removed by using the pull-start option to start the unit.

      Yamaha recalls competition off-road motorcycles

      The gear shift assembly can detach from the crankcase

      Yamaha Motor Corporation USA of Cypress, Calif., is recalling about 760 off-road motorcycles.

      The gear shift assembly can detach from the crankcase, resulting in unintentional gear shifting that could increase the risk of a crash.

      No incidents or injuries have been reported.

      This recall involves the model year 2022 Yamaha Competition Off-Road Motorcycle with model numbers YZ125N2L and YZ125N2ME. The motorcycles were sold in Blue and Monster Energy Racing Edition.

      The model number is printed on the right and left sides of the motorcycle. The vehicle identification number (VIN) is stamped on the frame steering head. The affected vehicles are in the following VIN range: ***CE34C***000301 through ***CE34C***004096.

      The motorcycles, manufactured in Japan, were sold at Yamaha motorcycle dealers nationwide from July 2021, through January 2022, for between $6,900 and $7,100.

      What to do

      Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled off-road motorcycles and contact their local Yamaha dealer to schedule a free repair. Yamaha is contacting all registered owners directly.

      Automobili Lamborghini is recalling nine model year 2020-2022 Huracan EVOs and model year 2022 Huracan STO.

      The gearbox may have an insufficient amount of transmission oil. This can lead to clutch slippage and, in certain driving situations, a transmission oil leak.

      Clutch slippage can cause a loss of drive power and increase the risk of a crash. A transmission oil leak in the presence of hot exhaust components can increase the risk of fire.

      Dealers will inspect and correct the transmission oil level -- as necessary -- free of charge.
