    Hong Kong China Electric Appliance Manufacture Company recalls ceiling fans

    The blades can detach from the fan while in use, posing an impact injury hazard

    Hong Kong China Electric Appliance Manufacture Company of Memphis, Tenn., is recalling about 77,900 Harbor Breeze Belleisle Bay and Honeywell Rio ceiling fans.

    The blades can detach from the fan while in use, posing an impact injury hazard.

    The firm has received 60 reports of the blades detaching from the fan, including three reports of property damage to drywall. No injuries have been reported.

    This recall involves Harbor Breeze 52-inch Belleisle Bay and Honeywell 52-inch Rio ceiling fans, which are identical fans that are branded separately.

    The Harbor Breeze Belleisle Bay Ceiling Fans have a brushed nickel housing finish (model number 40650) or an oil-rubbed bronze housing finish (model number 40651). Both models have three matte black blades, a frosted, cased white glass bowl light, and a 3-speed reversible motor with remote control

    The Honeywell Rio Ceiling Fans have an oil-rubbed bronze housing finish (model number 50514), a champagne housing finish (model number 51623), a pewter housing finish (model number 51624), a brushed nickel housing finish (model number 50195), or a white housing finish (model number 51030). Each model has three black matte fan blades, a frosted, cased white glass bowl light, and a 3-speed reversible motor with remote control.

    The model numbers for the recalled fans are printed on the silver rating label located on the top of the fan housing assembly. A list of the recalled fans, with model numbers and descriptions, may be found here.

    The fans, manufactured in China, were sold online at Lowes.com, Amazon.com, Wayfair.com, Overstock.com, Hayneedle.com, Houzz.com, eAcces.com, and Build.com from February 2018, through August 2021, for about $150.

    What to do

    Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled fans and contact Hong Kong China Electric Appliance Manufacture Company to confirm that their fan is under the scope of the recall by providing the firm with a photo of the fan and date code.

    Consumers will then be instructed to disconnect the fan, provide a photo of the disconnected fan to HKC, and dispose of it. They will then receive a free replacement fan by mail.

    Cummins recalls Power Generation and trailer-mounted generator sets

    The circuit breaker may not function properly

    Cummins is recalling 847 model year 2019-2021 Power Generation C70D2RE and C100D2RE trailer-mounted generator sets.

    Certain Molded Case Circuit Breakers (MCCBs) may have been manufactured improperly, which can result in inadequate circuit protection.

    Inadequate circuit protection can increase the risk of personal injury or fire.

    What to do

    Cummins will inspect and replace the circuit breakers -- as necessary -- free of charge.

    Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed on January 14, 2022.

      Jayco is recalling 127 model year 2021 Jay Flight Octane travel trailers.

      The water heater was installed in the incorrect location, which could result in exhaust fumes entering the slide-out area of the trailer.

      Exhaust gas fumes inside the trailer slide-out can cause carbon monoxide poisoning, increasing the risk of injury.

      What to do

      Dealers will relocate the water heater free of charge.

      Maserati North America is recalling 409 model year 2021 Quattroportes & Ghiblis, model year 2021-2022 Levantes, and model year 2022 MC20s.

      The fuel line sensor housing may crack and leak fuel.

      A fuel leak may cause an engine stall, increasing the risk of a crash. It increases the risk of fire in the presence of an ignition source.

      What to do

      Dealers will replace the fuel line sensor housing free of charge.

      The products may contain metal objects.

      The following Minute Maid products, sold in Pennsylvania, Connecticut, New York, North Carolina, Maryland, Virginia, Maine and New Jersey, were recalled:

      • Berry Punch – Date codes Jan0422 NP and Jan0522 NP, Batch 0010323455 and 0010259344 (recall F-0276-2022)
      • Strawberry Lemonade – Date code: Jan0322 NP, Batch: 0010259346 (recall F-0277-2022)

      Jayco is recalling 625 model year 2020-2022 Anthem, Embark, Reatta, and Reatta XL motorhomes.

      The rear suspension mounting fasteners that attach the rear-drive axle to the rear suspension may not have been tightened properly, which could allow the fasteners to loosen or break.

      Loose or broken suspension fasteners can allow the rear-drive axle to shift out of place, increasing the risk of a crash.

      What to do

      Jayco will work with Shyft to notify owners, and dealers will inspect the rear suspension fasteners for damage, and replace and tighten them -- as necessary -- free of charge.

      The mail slot can be sharp, posing a laceration hazard

      Target of Minneapolis, Minn., is recalling about 174,300 Letters to Santa Mailboxes.

      The mail slot on the mailbox can be sharp, posing a laceration hazard.

      The firm has received nine reports of sharp mail slot openings and seven incidents of lacerations -- three requiring medical attention.

      This recall involves the Bullseye’s Playground Metal Mailbox sold in red or white, measuring about 7 inches in length, 3 inches in width, and 10 inches in height. The words “Letters to Santa” are printed on the front of the mailbox in white or black letters.

      The product item number is printed on the white sticker on the bottom of the mailbox sold in stores and on the inner packaging of the two-count mailboxes sold online.

      Mailboxes with the following product item numbers are included in the recall:

      Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled mailbox and return it to any Target store for a full refund in the form of a Target gift card.

      The garments fail to meet federal flammability standards

      Mark of Fifth Avenue of Harriman, N.Y., is recalling about 10,000 children’s robes.

      The robes fail to meet the federal flammability standards for children’s sleepwear, posing a risk of burn injuries to children.

      No incidents or injuries are reported.

      This recall involves Star Art in Linen-branded children’s 100% polyester robes sold in children’s sizes 2, 3-4, 5-6, 6-7, 7-8, and 10-12, in black, navy, blue plaid, red plaid, red, royal blue, and gray.

      The long-sleeved robes have two front pockets and two side seam belt loops with a matching belt.

      “Made in China” and “100% Polyester” are printed on a sewn-in label in the robes seam.

      The robes were sold online at www.Amazon.com and www.Walmart.com from August 2019, through June 2021, for between $35 and $45.

      What to do

      Consumers should immediately take the recalled children’s robes away from children and contact Mark of Fifth Avenue.

      Consumers may receive a full refund by cutting the robes in half, taking a photo of the cut garment, and sending an email to mofaproductsafety@gmail.com with the photos. All known purchasers will be contacted about this recall.
