    The transfer switch wires may come loose

    Heartland Recreational Vehicles is recalling 1,783 model year 2020-2021 Heartland Cyclone and model year 2019-2021 Road Warrior Toy Haulers.

    The transfer switch wire securement lugs may have been tightened improperly during production, causing the wires to come loose.

    Loose wires can cause electrical arcing, increasing the risk of a fire.

    What to do

    Dealers will inspect and tighten the securement lugs free of charge.

    Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed on December 29, 2021.

    The products contain low levels of benzene

    Odor-Eaters is recalling 41 lots of Odor-Eaters Spray Powder and Stink Stoppers Spray.

    The products contain low levels of benzene, which is classified as a human carcinogen. The firm has not received any reports of adverse events.

    A list of the recalled products, which are used as antifungal and foot odor-reducing agents, may be found here. The products were packaged in aerosol cans and sold nationwide.

    What to do

    Customers who purchased the recalled products should stop using them, discard them, and request a refund at www.odoreatersrecall2021.com.

    The products may contain peanuts, an allergen not declared on the label. No illnesses or allergic reactions are reported to date.

    The following items, shipped nationwide to retailers, distributors, and online mail orders, are being recalled:

    • SALMA NATURAL CURRY POWDER in 13-ounce (368g) plastic containers with UPC code 023913159115;
    • SALMA NATURAL JAMAICAN CURRY in 16-ounce (453g) plastic containers with UPC code 023913159238;
    • CASABLANCA NATURAL SPICES CURRY POWDER in 7-ounce (198g) plastic containers with UPC code 639235101314; and
    • CASABLANCA NATURAL SPICES CURRY JAMAICAN in 9-ounce (255g) plastic containers with UPC code 639235101338.

    What to do

      The shaft seal may break and cause a loss of power steering

      Newmar Corporation is recalling 38 model year 2020-2021 Essex, and model year 2020-2022 King Aire & London Aire motorhomes.

      A machining defect may cause pressure to build in the power steering pump and break the shaft seal, resulting in a loss of power steering assist.

      A loss of power steering assist can increase the risk of a crash.

      What to do

      Shyft Group, on behalf of Newmar Corporation, will inspect the pump serial number and replace the power steering pump -- if necessary -- free of charge.

      Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed on December 18, 2021.

      Impex Fitness recalls dumbbell handles

      The locking collars on the handles can slip and cause injuries

      Impex Fitness of Pomona, Calif., is recalling about 72,700 Olympic Dumbbell handles.

      The locking collars on the handles can slip, dropping weights when held perpendicular to the floor and posing an impact injury hazard.

      The firm has received four reports of locking collars that slipped. No injuries are reported.

      This recall involves the OBB-20 Olympic Dumbbell handles that can be used with any Olympic-size weight plates in any configuration that allow users to perform various dumbbell exercises.

      The Olympic Dumbbell handles are chrome in color and finish, and each dumbbell handle comes with two locking collars in black.

      The dumbbell handles, manufactured in China, were sold at Dick’s Sporting Goods stores nationwide and online at https://www.dickssportinggoods.com from July 2015, through July 2021, for about $50.

      What to do

      Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled dumbbell handles and contact Impex Fitness to receive a free replacement set of new locking collars.

      The replacement collars will be mailed out to consumers free of charge. Consumers should discard the old collar.

      A communication error may cause false forward-collision warnings (FCW) or unexpected activation of the automatic emergency brake (AEB) system.

      Unexpected activation of the AEB system may cause the car to stop suddenly, increasing the risk of a crash.

      The mattresses fail to meet the federal flammability standard

      Amazon.com Services of Seattle, Wash., is recalling about 15,300 AmazonBasics Memory Foam Mattresses.

      The mattresses fail to meet the mandatory federal flammability standard for mattresses, posing a fire hazard.

      No incidents or injuries have been reported.

      The recall involves AmazonBasics Memory Foam Mattresses in 10” and 12” sizes manufactured in twin, full, queen, king, and California king sizes.

      The mattresses are white with “amazonbasics” printed on the foot panel and have a white federal label with “Amazon.com Services Inc.” identified as the importer.

      The mattresses, manufactured in Malaysia, were sold on Amazon's platform from April 2020, through March 2021, for between $150 and $450.

      What to do

      Amazon is contacting all purchasers to arrange for direct shipment of a cover for consumers to place over the mattresses that will bring the mattresses into compliance, free of charge.

      Tesla is recalling two model year 2020-2021 Model 3s.

      The left and/or right side curtain airbag may have been improperly secured to the roof rail, which could result in a twisted air bag.

      A twisted side curtain air bag may deploy improperly, increasing the risk of injury or occupant ejection in a crash.

      What to do

      Tesla Service will inspect and realign the left and right side curtain air bag -- as necessary -- free of charge.

      Hanna Andersson of Portland, Ore., is recalling about 3,200 Baby Ruffle Rompers sold in the U.S. and Canada.

      The snaps on the romper can detach, posing a choking hazard to young children.

      The firm has received reports of three incidents of the snaps detaching or fabric around the snaps ripping. No injuries or incidents of children putting the snaps in their mouths have been reported.

      This recall involves the style Baby Ruffle Romper with style number 66919 written on the main label at the neck of the top.

      It’s a 100% cotton romper with ruffles sold in Petal Pink, Golden Hour, and Juniper with a polka dot pattern. The product ranges in U.S. sizes from zero months to three years and in Euro sizes from 50 to 90.

      The rompers, manufactured in Bangladesh, were sold exclusively online at www.hannaandersson.com from July 2021, through October 2021, for about $40.

      What to do

      Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled Ruffle Romper and contact Hanna Andersson for a full refund. The company will provide postage-paid labeling to consumers for the return of the product for a full refund.

      Hanna Anderson of Portland, Ore., is recalling about 4,400 Baby Long Sleeve Wiggle Sets sold in the U.S. and Canada.

      The snaps on the long sleeve top can detach, posing a choking hazard to young children.

      The firm has received one reported incident of the snaps detaching. No injuries have been reported. 

      This recall involves the Baby Long Sleeve Wiggle Set, with style number 66938 written on the main label at the neck of the top. The metal snaps are located at the crotch of the top.

      The product comes in three varieties -- a 100% cotton long-sleeve top and pant set sold in Petal Pink with a pink floral pattern, Golden Hour with black and white polka dots and gold trim, and Navy Blue with a green turtle print and navy trim.

      The set comes in U.S. sizes from zero months to three years and European sizes from 50-90.
