    Nexus recalls various model year 2018-2020 RVs

    The stove saddle valves may leak gas

    Nexus RV is recalling 2,000 model year 2018-2020 Nexus Bentley, Bentley Diamond, Evoque, Ghost, Maybach, Wraith, Phantom, Triumph, and Viper recreational vehicles built on International or Ford chassis.

    These vehicles are equipped with certain Dometic 3-burner cooking stoves that have a saddle valve securing bolt that may be overtightened. This could possibly damage the o-ring seal and cause a continuous gas leak.

    A gas leak can increase the risk of a fire.

    What to do

    Nexus will work with Dometic, which will install a remedy kit of gaskets, washers, thread locker bolts, and two round orange labels, free of charge.

    Tiffin recalls model year 2021-2022 Phaeton RVs

    An electrical wire was not connected during manufacturing

    Tiffin Motorhomes is recalling 111 model year 2021-2022 Phaeton recreational vehicles.

    During manufacturing, an electrical outlet was not installed as intended, resulting in an open electrical wire inside the wall.

    An open electrical wire can increase the risk of a fire.

    What to do

    Dealers will inspect the vehicle and install an outlet on the wire at no charge.

    Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed on December 7, 2021.

    Kubota recalls utility vehicles

    The floor mats can warp or degrade and interfere with the throttle pedal

    Kubota Tractor Corporation of Grapevine, Texas, is recalling about 48,875 Kubota RTV-X1100C model utility vehicles.

    The floor mats can warp or degrade and interfere with the throttle pedal, posing crash and injury hazards.

    The firm has received one report of a loss of control that resulted in black eyes and minor bruising.

    This recall involves model year 2013 through 2021 base model Kubota RTV-X1100C utility vehicles. Specific models may include an additional letter after the “C,” for example, 1100CR. Recalled units have serial numbers ranging from 10001 through 67546. The model number and serial number are on the side of the unit and on the data plate.

    The utility vehicles, manufactured in the U.S., were sold at authorized Kubota dealers nationwide from April 2013, through September 2021, for between $21,300 and $22,950.

    What to do

    Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled utility vehicles and contact an authorized Kubota dealer.

    If the floormat is warped or degraded, consumers will receive a new floormat installed by the dealer that will be secured by rivets to the floor. If the utility vehicle's floormat is not warped or degraded, the dealer will complete a modification to the existing floormat by trimming the mat and then securing it by rivets to the floor.

    Kubota is contacting all known consumers directly.

      The child restraint system may not secure properly

      Daimler Vans USA (DVUSA) is recalling 1,514 model year 2021 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, Metris, and Freightliner Sprinter vehicles with Automatic Locking Retractor (ALR) seat belt assemblies.

      The seat belt automatic locking retractors may deactivate early, which can prevent the child restraint system from securing properly.

      An unsecured child restraint system can increase the risk of an injury in a crash.

      What to do

      Dealers will inspect and replace the seat belt assemblies, as necessary, free of charge.

      Usines Giant Factories recalls gas water heaters

      The heater’s Emerson control valves can fail to close properly

      Usines Giant Factories of Canada is recalling about 12,000 Usines Giant Factories Gas Water Heaters with Emerson control valves sold in the U.S. and Canada.

      The heater’s Emerson control valves can fail to close properly, causing soot to accumulate on the burner, posing a risk of carbon monoxide poisoning.

      No incidents or injuries are reported in the U.S. The company has received 20 reports of incidents with the Emerson control valves in Canada, including one report in which medical attention was necessary due to the release of carbon monoxide.

      The recall involves propane and natural gas water heaters in 40-, 50-, and 75-gallon capacities that are white with a red “Giant” logo decal on the front.

      The water heaters have a nameplate near the Emerson gas control valve with the following model number ranges: UG40-38LFPV2-P1U-US, UG40-40LFPV2-N1U-US, UG50-38LFPV2-P1U-US, UG50-38LFPV2-P2U-US, UG50-38TFPDV1-N2U-US, UG50-40LFPV2-N1U-US, UG50-40LFPV2-N2U-US, UG75-76MEPV1-N2U-US, UG75-76MEPV1-P2U-US.

      The control valves are black with a white “Emerson” logo on the front. The Emerson control valve model numbers and date code are located on a label on the right-hand side of the bracket holding the Emerson control valve to the gas water heater.

      The recalled control valve model numbers are 37H73A-301P1 (natural gas) and 37H74A-301P1 (propane) with a date code between 1821 and 1839.

      The heaters, manufactured in Canada, were sold at BGM Supply, Utica N.Y., Central N.Y. Plumbing & Heating Supply, Whitesboro, N.Y., and Maryland Pipe & Supply Company in Hancock, Md., from June 2018, through July 2020, for between $840 to $2,100.

      What to do

      Consumers should immediately contact Usines Giant Factories, who will arrange to have the Emerson control valve replaced by a certified technician, free of charge. Consumers who continue to use the water heaters while awaiting repair should have working carbon monoxide alarms outside of sleeping areas and on every level of the home.

      Elektron Music Machines recalls power handles

      The power handle can short circuit and overheat

      Elektron Music Machines of Sweden is recalling about 700 Elektron BP-1 power handles sold in the U.S. and Canada.

      The power handle can short circuit and overheat, posing fire and burn hazards.

      The firm has received one report of the power handle overheating. No fires or injuries have been reported.

      This recall involves the Elektron Power Handle BP-1, a portable power source for Elektron music synthesizers and music effects devices.

      The metal and plastic power handles measure about 11 inches wide, 3 inches deep, and 1 inch high and were sold with a connection cable and a screw.

      Recalled power handles have a serial number beginning with 4250A located on the inside edge of the battery compartment.

      UPC code 7350049242057 and a stamp signifying "Made in Sweden" can be found on the back of the product packaging.

      The power handles were sold at specialty music stores nationwide and online at Amazon.com, Alto Music, American Music Supply, Austin Bazaar, Chicago Music Exchange, Control, Control Voltage, Detroit Modular, Patchwerks, Reverb.com, Sweetwater Sound, Wish You Were Gear, and zZounds.com from May 2021, through July 2021, for about $50.

      What to do

      Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled power handles, disconnect the power cable, remove the batteries, and contact Elektron for instructions on receiving a full refund, including shipping. The firm will provide consumers with a prepaid shipping label after they have contacted the firm to report the product.

      • Bulk packages containing individually wrapped 6-oz pieces of fully cooked, not shelf stable of “MEX-TAMALES FOODS 6oz PORK TAMALES Wrapped In Inedible Corn Husk.”
      • Bulk packages containing individually wrapped 6-oz pieces of heat treated, not fully cooked and not shelf stable of “MEX-TAMALES FOODS 6oz Beef TAMALES Wrapped In Inedible Corn Husk.”
