    Nestlé recalls not-ready-to-eat pepperoni hot pockets

    The product may be contaminated with extraneous materials

    Nestlé Prepared Foods of Mt. Sterling, Ky., is recalling approximately 762,615 pounds of not-ready-to-eat pepperoni hot pockets.

    The product may be contaminated with extraneous materials -- specifically pieces of glass and hard plastic.

    The firm has received one report of a minor oral injury associated with consumption of this product.

    The following frozen not-ready-to-eat item, produced from November 13 -- 16, 2020, with a shelf life of 14 months, is being recalled:

    • 54-oz carton packages containing 12 “Nestlé HOT POCKETS BRAND SANDWICHES: PREMIUM PEPPERONI MADE WITH PORK, CHICKEN & BEEF PIZZA GARLIC BUTTERY CRUST” with a “BEST BEFORE FEB 2022” date and lot codes 0318544624, 0319544614, 0320544614, and 0321544614.

    The recalled product, bearing establishment number “EST. 7721A” inside the USDA mark of inspection, was shipped to retail locations nationwide.

    What to do

    Customers who purchased this product should not consume it, but discard or return it to the place of purchase.

    Nostrum Labs expands recall of Metformin HCl Extended Release Tablets

    The medication may be contaminated with a probable cancer-causer

    Nostrum Laboratories expanding its earlier recall of 750 mg Metformin HCl Extended Release Tablets (generic equivalent to Glucophage Tablets) to add one lot.

    The product, used as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve blood sugar control in adults and pediatric patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus, showed test results for N-Nitrosodimethylamine (NDMA) levels in excess of the Acceptable Daily Intake Limit (ADI).

    NDMA is classified as a probable human carcinogen (a substance that could cause cancer)

    The firm has not received any reports of adverse events to date.

    The expansion adds lot MET200501, NDC 29033-056-01, with an expiration date of July 2022.

    What to do

    Patients should consult a healthcare professional to obtain a replacement or a different treatment option as it could be dangerous for to stop taking their medication without first talking to their healthcare professional.

    Keystone recalls Cougar recreational trailers

    The Solar Prep wiring may experience an electrical short

    Keystone RV Company is recalling 347 model year 2020 Cougar 22MLS, 22RBS, 25RDS, 26RBS, 26RKS, 27RES, 29BHS, 30RKD, 31MBS, 32RLI and 34TSB recreational trailers with a Solar Prep or an off-the-grid "OTG" Solar Camping Package.

    The Solar Prep wiring to the 12-V DC breakers located by the battery may not be connected to the protected side of the breaker.

    Since it is not connected properly to the breaker, if the Solar Prep wiring experiences an electrical short, it will increase the risk of a fire.

    What to do

    Keystone will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the installation of the Solar Prep wiring at the circuit breaker mounted close to the battery and remount the wiring -- if needed -- free of charge.

    The recall is expected to begin February 12, 2021.

      If the cooktop is stowed away while the propane hose is attached and the burner is on, the risk of a fire increases.

      What to do

      Forest River will notify owners, and dealers will install a bracket to the drawer housing the outside cooktop preventing the drawer from being closed while the propane line is still attached free of charge.

      The charger may malfunction and overheat

      Belkin of Los Angeles, Calif., is recalling about 2,280 Belkin “Portable Wireless Charger + Stand Special Edition.”

      A manufacturing defect in the power supply unit can cause the charger to malfunction and overheat, posing fire and shock hazards.

      No incidents or injuries have been reported.

      This recall involves the Belkin Portable Wireless Charger + Stand Special Edition.

      This product is a power bank and charging stand in one, with 10,000 mAh power capacity and wireless charging capabilities up to 10W when docked. The package includes the Portable Wireless Charger + Stand Special Edition and an external power supply.

      They are black or white in color with “Belkin” printed on the front of the stand and on the power bank.

      The chargers, manufactured in China, were sold at Apple stores worldwide and online at www.apple.com and Belkin.com from July 2020, through October 2020, for about $80.

      What to do

      John Deere recalls Frontier rotary tillers

      Some PTO drivelines were assembled without a specified safety sign.

      Deere & Company of Moline, Ill., is recalling about 1,900 Frontier model rotary tillers.

      Some PTO drivelines were assembled without a specified safety sign. The safety sign explains the associated hazards and that an operator or bystander can become entangled if there is contact with the driveline.

      No incidents or injuries are reported.

      This recall involves John Deere’s Frontier-branded rotary tillers for use with compact utility tractors.

      “Frontier” and model RT1142, RT1149, RT1157, RT1165, RT1173, RT1181, RT3042, RT3042R, RT3049, RT3049R, RT3062, or RT3062R are printed on the back of the tiller.

      A complete list of serial numbers included in this recall along with the location of the serial number is available here.

      The tillers, manufactured in India, were sold at John Deere dealers nationwide from May 2019, through November 2020, for between about $2,000 and $3,200.

      Essaar is recalling a single lot of Soho Fresh 70% Rubbing Alcohol.

      The product is contaminated with methanol, which can result in nausea, vomiting, headache, blurred vision, permanent blindness, seizures, coma, permanent damage to the nervous system or death.

      There are no reports of adverse events to date.

      The recalled product, used as an external purpose use rubbing alcohol, is packaged in 33.81 oz. clear plastic bottles with lot number 200528303 and UPC 7502268987367.

      The exhaust valve cable could contact the main positive battery wire and potentially short-circuit.

      An electrical short-circuit increases the risk of fire.

      Rust-Oleum recalls aerosol paint

      The bottom of the pressurized container can detach unexpectedly

      Rust-Oleum of Vernon Hills, Ill., is recalling about 10,500 containers of Rust-Oleum Professional Bright Galvanizing Compound Spray.

      The bottom of the pressurized container can detach unexpectedly, posing an injury hazard.

      The firm has received six reports of the container bottom detaching, including one reported injury.

      This recall involves Rust-Oleum Professional Bright Galvanizing Compound Spray used to protect metal surfaces from rust and corrosion. The 20-ounce can is silver with a silver cap.

      Only those products with product number 7584838 and batch code H0304A are included in the recall. The product number and batch code are printed on either the top or the bottom of the can.

      The label on the can states “Rust-Oleum,” “Professional” and “Bright Galvanizing Compound.”

      The aerosol paint, manufactured in the U.S., was sold at Lowe’s, Menards, and other hardware stores nationwide and online at Lowes.com and other websites from March 2020, through October 2020, for about $10.

      What to do

      Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled aerosol paint and contact Rust-Oleum for a full refund. Rust-Oleum will give consumers information on how to dispose of the product safely.

      Subaru recalls model year 2020 Legacys and Outbacks

      The rearview camera may shut down

      Subaru of America is recalling 7,741 model year 2020 Legacys and Outbacks with "high" grade and "mid" grade multimedia navigation.

      The August 2020 over-the-air software update may have timed out without completing the installation, corrupting the data, and causing the rearview display to shutoff intermittently.

      The intermittent loss of the rearview image reduces the driver's visibility and increases the risk of crash.

      What to do

      Subaru will notify owners, and dealers will reprogram the software and -- if necessary -- replace the Cockpit Control Module free of charge.

      The recall is expected to begin January 22, 2021.

      Ohlins USA is recalling 584 Front Struts, part number POS 5N20.

      These struts were sold as part of Ohlins strut kits part number POZ MN02, intended for installation on model year 1999-2005 Porsche 911 Carrera 4 and 4S (generation 996), & model year 2001-2006 Porsche 911 Turbo / Turbo S (generation 996), and kit part number POZ MN05, intended for installation on model year 2005-2012 Porsche 911 Carrera 4 and 4S (generation 997), and model 2006-2013 Porsche 911 Turbo / Turbo S (generation 997).

      The pin of the strut may experience excessive stress during maximum steering, possibly resulting breakage.

      If the pin fails, it will cause separation of the strut from the vehicle, affecting vehicle control and increasing the risk of a crash..
