    Anticimex recalls SMART Connect Mini Devices

    The device’s power supply can overheat while charging

    Anticimex of Berkeley Heights, N.J., is recalling about 2,750 SMART Connect Mini Devices.

    The device’s power supply can overheat while charging, and cause the plastic enclosure to fly off, posing fire and injury hazards.

    The firm has one report of a voltage regulator failure resulting in battery cell failure in a device at an Anticimex facility. No injuries have been reported.

    This recall involves the SMART Connect Mini Devices, which serve as a communication hub connecting a system of digital pest control units.

    The device is a white, plastic-covered unit mounted to the wall and was connected to a power source and wireless network by licensed pest control technicians.

    The model number 300 110 Rev. C is located on the back of the device.

    The devices, manufactured in Thailand, were not sold in stores or online. They were installed as part of Anticimex’s pest control service monitoring from March 2020, through October 2020, for between $15 and $45 per month.

    What to do

    Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled devices and should not unplug their installed devices until they are contacted by Anticimex to schedule a removal appointment and provide further instructions. The replacement and installation of the new device will be free of charge.

    Anticimex is directly contacting all known purchasers.

    Divvies of Trumbull, Conn., is recalling Vanilla Cupcakes with Vanilla Frosting and Vanilla Cupcakes with Chocolate Frosting.

    The products may milk and eggs, allergens not declared on the label.

    No illnesses have been reported to date.

    The recalled products, which come in a 6-oz., clear plastic clamshell labelled with the Divvies brand and marked with a lot # VV303-1, VV304-1, or VC309-1 on the side of the container, were sold in retail stores nationwide and online.

    What to do

    Customers who purchased the recalled products should not consume them, but return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.

    Forest River recalls XLR Boost Toy Hauler RVs

    The federal placard may contain inaccurate weight information

    Forest River is recalling 157 model year 2020-2021 XLR Boost Toy Hauler recreational vehicles.

    The federal placard and cargo carrying capacity (CCC) label may state a lower weight than the actual weight.

    An inaccurate weight on the federal placard can cause the vehicle to be overloaded, possibly causing damage to the tires and increasing the risk of a crash.

    What to do

    Forest River will notify owners and will provide a new federal placard and replace any damaged tires free of charge.

    The recall is expected to begin January 18, 2021.

      Kawasaki recalls Z400 and Ninja 400 motorcycles

      The camshaft chain tensioner may be damaged

      Kawasaki Motors is recalling 1,770 model year 2021 Z400 ABS (ER400D), Ninja 400 (EX400H) and Ninja 400 ABS (EX400G) motorcycles.

      The strength of the camshaft chain tensioner may be insufficient due to improper heat treatment, possibly causing it to be damaged.

      A damaged camshaft chain tensioner can cause the engine to stall, increasing the risk of a crash.

      What to do

      Owners are advised against riding their motorcycles until the repair has been completed.

      Kawasaki is notifying owners, and dealers will replace the camshaft chain tensioner free of charge.

      The recall was expected to begin December 21, 2021.

      The product may contain gluten which is not declared on the label.

      No illnesses or incidents have been verified to date.

      The December recall involved products distributed to retail customers in Arkansas, Colorado, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, and Wyoming.

      The expanded distribution includes retail customers in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New York, and Rhode Island.

      No illnesses or incidents have been verified to date.

      The recalled product contains UPC code 8-53584-00221-8 and lot number 032220316 printed on the plastic closure that seals the bag.

      What to do

      Customers who purchased the recalled product and have a wheat allergy, celiac disease, or gluten or wheat sensitivity should not consume it, but discard or return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.

      Airstream recalls International, Flying Cloud and Classic recreational trailers

      The Dometic 3-burner cooking stove's saddle valves may leak gas

      Airstream is recalling 3,135 model year 2019 International, Flying Cloud and Classic recreational trailers with Dometic 3-burner cooking stoves.

      The stove's saddle valve securing bolt may be overtightened, possibly damaging the O-ring seal and causing a continuous gas leak which can increase the risk of a fire.

      What to do

      Airstream will notify owners, and dealers will install a remedy kit of gaskets, washers, thread locker bolts, and two round orange labels free of charge.

      The recall is expected to begin February 9, 2021.

      Target recalls infant-toddler girl’s one-piece Rashguard swimsuits

      The snaps can break or detach from the suits

      Target Corp., of Minneapolis, Minn., is recalling about 181,000 Cat & Jack infant-toddler one-piece Rashguard swimsuits.

      The snaps can break or detach from the suits, posing choking and laceration hazards.

      The firm has received 27 reports of the snaps breaking or detaching, including one report of a laceration.

      This recall includes the Cat & Jack “Summer Blue Lemon,” “Coral Icon Story Hawaiian,” and “Moxie Peach Lemon” one-piece Rashguards infant-toddler swimsuits in sizes 12M to 5T.

      The Rashguards have snaps that can break or detach. The product’s item number is located on the white tag inside of the suit.

      The swimsuits, manufactured in Vietnam, were sold at Target stores nationwide and online at Target.com from December 2019, through October 2020, for about $15.

      What to do

      Consumers should immediately take the recalled swimsuits away from children and return them to any Target Store for a full refund. Consumers who purchased the swimsuit online may contact Target to receive a prepaid return label to return it.

      Sunstar Americas recalls GUM brand gingivitis treatment

      The product may be contaminated with Burkholderia lata

      Sunstar Americas, Inc. (SAI) is recalling GUM brand Paroex Chlorhexidine Gluconate Oral Rinse, a prescription oral rinse, used for the treatment of gingivitis.

      The product may be contaminated with the bacteria Burkholderia lata. Use of the contaminated product on patients with pre-existing respiratory conditions -- including those infected with Covid-19 -- is particularly unsafe.

      Twenty-nine adverse events have been reported to date.

      The following products are being recalled:

      • 1789P GUM Paroex in cases each containing six amber bottles of 16 fluid ounce (473 ml) chlorhexidine rinse. The bottle has a childproof cap and a 15 ml metered dosage cup, is safety sealed, and is decorated with a multiple-panel wrap-around label with an expiration date from December 31, 2020, through September 30, 2022.
      • 1788P GUM Paroex in cases each containing 24 amber bottles of 4 fluid ounce (118.25 ml) chlorhexidine rinse. The bottle has a childproof cap, is safety sealed, and is decorated with a multiple-panel wrap-around label with an expiration date from December 31, 2020, through September 30, 2022.

      The recalled product was shipped nationwide to dental offices, dental distributors, pharmaceutical wholesalers, dental schools and pharmacies.

      What to do

      SAI is notifying its direct distributors and customers by USPS Priority mail and is arranging for return of all recalled products. Consumers should stop using the recalled product immediately and contact their physician or healthcare provider if they have had any problems.

      Forest River is recalling 2,818 model year 2018-2020 RPOD travel trailers.

      The sewer termination bracket may fail, causing the plumbing to drag on the ground or to detach completely.

      If the plumbing were to detach, it could become a road hazard and increase the risk of a crash.

      What to do

      Forest River will notify owners, and dealers will install a new securement bracket free of charge.

      The recall is expected to begin January 19, 2021.

      The snaps can break or detach from the rompers, posing a choking hazard

      Target Corp., of Minneapolis, Minn., is recalling about 299,000 Cloud Island infant rompers.

      The snaps can break or detach from the rompers, posing a choking, laceration and pinching hazards to children.

      The firm has received 16 reports of the snaps breaking, detaching, or missing from the rompers including one report of scratches and one report of a child being pinched.

      This recall includes the Cloud Island Waterfront Baby Boutique Romper, Cloud Island Little Peanut and True Navy Rompers, Cloud Island Little Wildflower and Joyful Mint Rompers, Cloud Island Oh Honeybee and Pink Rompers, and Cloud Island Floral Fields and Mint Rompers.

      The rompers were sold in sizes newborn to 12M. The product item number is printed on the white tag inside of the rompers.

      The rompers, manufactured in China and Vietnam, were sold at Target stores nationwide and online at Target.com, GoogleExpress.com and Shipt.com from July 2019, through October 2020, for about $10 for a single romper and $11 for 2-pack rompers set.

      Consumers should immediately take the recalled infant rompers away from children and return them to any Target Store for a full refund.

      Icon Vehicle Dynamics recalls Centerline Stabilizer Kits

      The steering may lock up

      Icon Vehicle Dynamics is recalling 102 05-UP FSD 2.5 Centerline Stabilizer Kits with part number 65050.

      The kits were sold as an accessory for model year 2005-2021 Ford F250 4X4 and F350 4X4 pickup trucks.

      The foam ring inside the stabilizer "through shaft" may block the piston ports, possibly causing the steering to lock up.

      If the steering locks, it can increase the risk of a crash.

      What to do

      Icon will notify owners, and dealers will install a new shock assembly with a revised foam ring and steel support disc into the steering stabilizer free of charge.

      The recall was expected to begin in December 2020.

      The candle holders can catch fire

      Urban Outfitters of Philadelphia, Pa., is recalling about 5,600 Swirled Taper and Sofia Taper Candle Holders sold in the U.S. and Canada.

      The candle holders can catch fire if they come in contact with the candle’s flame, posing a fire hazard.

      The firm has received 11 reports of the candle holders catching fire including one report of property damage. No injuries have been reported.

      This recall involves Urban Outfitter’s Swirled Taper and Sofia Taper Candle Holders made of resin.

      The SKU number is located on the price label on the bottom of the candle holders.

      The candle holders, manufactured in China, were sold exclusively at Urban Outfitters stores nationwide and online at www.urbanoutfitters.com from February 2020, through October 2020, for between $12 and $14.

      Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled candle holders and return them to any Urban Outfitters store for a full refund.       GSK Consumer Health recalls five Excedrin brands

      GSK Consumer Healthcare of Warren, N.J., is recalling about 433,633 bottles of Excedrin Migraine Caplets, Excedrin Migraine Geltabs, Excedrin Extra Strength Caplets, Excedrin PM Headache Caplets, and Excedrin Tension Headache Caplets.

      Some of the bottles containing the over-the-counter drug may have a hole in the bottom. If there is a hole, children could access and swallow the contents, posing a risk of poisoning.

      These products contain the substances aspirin and acetaminophen which must be in child resistant packaging as required by the Poison Prevention Packaging Act.

      No incidents or injuries are reported.

      This recall involves 50, 80, 100, 125, 200, 250 and 300-count bottles of Excedrin Migraine Caplets, Excedrin Migraine Geltabs, Excedrin Extra Strength Caplets, Excedrin PM Headache Caplets, and Excedrin Tension Headache Caplets.

      The bottles are plastic with a child-resistant closure.

      The drugs, manufactured in the U.S., were sold at pharmacies, department stores, grocery stores, and hypermarkets nationwide and online from March 2018, through September 2020, for between $7 and $18.

      What to do

      Consumers should immediately store the recalled Excedrin bottles out of sight and reach of children and inspect the bottom of the bottle to determine if there is a hole.

      If there is a hole in the bottle, contact GSK Consumer Relations for information on how to receive a prepaid shipping label for return to receive a full refund.

      Bottles without a hole can be retained and used as directed.

      A broken driveshaft can cause a loss of propulsion, increasing the risk of a crash, or may disable the parking brake, increasing the risk of a rollaway and injury.

      There are currently330 pies or less than 14% of the lot unaccounted that were delivered to certain Village Inn restaurants in Arizona, Arkansas, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oklahoma and Wyoming.

      Otis and CemcoLift recall private residence elevators

      Children can become entrapped and suffer serious injuries or death

      Otis Elevator Company and CemcoLift Elevators Systems are recalling about 5,000 Otis and CemcoLift private residence elevators.

      Children can become entrapped in the space between the exterior landing (hoistway) door and the interior elevator car door or gate, and suffer serious injuries or death when the elevator is called to another floor.

      Four incidents are reported involving an Otis or CemcoLift private residence elevator that resulted in a crushed spine and abdomen, fractured hip, broken arm and feet, and bruising to the face and chest.

      This recall involves Otis private residence elevators purchased before 2012 and CemcoLift private residence elevators purchased from 1999 to 2012.

      The elevators are used in consumers’ homes.

      The elevators were manufactured in the U.S.

      Otis private residence elevators and parts were sold to independent third-party contractors and, occasionally, directly to consumers through 2012.

      Otis sold CemcoLift private residence elevators and parts to independent third-party contractors, and occasionally, directly to consumers from approximately 1999 to 2012.

      Otis and CemcoLift private residence elevators cost approximately $20,000 to purchase and install.

      What to do

      Consumers should disable or block children’s access to any Otis or CemcoLift private residence elevator and contact Otis to schedule a free inspection and the installation of space guard(s), if necessary.

      B&I Overseas Trading of Van Nuys, Calif., is recalling frozen Veladis herring in oil with Italian spices.

      The product may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.

      The recalled product, which comes in a 17.64-oz. (500 gram) plastic package stamped on top with expiration date 08/08/2021 and UPC # 4823097903896, was sold at select international retail stores in the Washington. Approximately 400 units were sold in November and December 2020.

      What to do

      Customers who purchased the recalled should not consume it, but return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.
