GM recalls 10,000 model year 2019-2020 Cadillac XT4s

General Motors is recalling 10,194 model year 2019-2020 Cadillac XT4s equipped with the optional Surround Vision feature.

The video processing module (VPM) may lose communication with the rearview camera, causing a loss of the rearview camera image.

If the rearview camera fails to display an image, the driver's rear visibility may be diminished, increasing the risk of a crash.

What to do

Dealers will update the VPM software or replace the VPM -- as necessary -- free of charge.

Owner s will be notified of the recall by mail starting around January 9, 2023.
