    Midwest Motorsports is recalling 738 Kylin helmets, model number K77, in sizes L, XL, and XXL.

    The helmets may not adequately protect the wearer from head impact in a crash.

    A helmet that does not provide adequate impact protection increases the risk of injury during a crash.

    What to do

    Midwest will notify the helmet purchasers and instruct them to return the helmets for a full refund.

    Telebrands recalls Hempväna pain relief products with lidocaine

    The packaging is not child-resistant as required by law

    Telebrands of Fairfield, N.J., is recalling about 183,000 containers of Hempväna pain relief products with lidocaine.

    The packaging of the products is not child-resistant, as required by the Poison Prevention Packaging Act. The products could pose a risk of poisoning if the contents are swallowed or placed on the skin of young children.

    No incidents or injuries have been reported.

    This recall involves the following Hempväna pain relief products containing lidocaine:

    • Hempväna Ultra Strength Pain Relief Cream with Lidocaine,
    • Hempväna Ultra Strength Pain Relief Cream Night with Lidocaine,
    • Hempväna Ultra Strength Pain Relief Cream Turmeric with Lidocaine, and
    • Hempväna Pain Relieving Hand & Body Lotion with Lidocaine.

    The UPC number appears on the bottom panel of the package. The UPC number for the lotion is on the label on the back of the product. A list of the item numbers and UPC codes for the recalled products may be found here.

    'Hempväna' and 'Pain Relief' or 'Pain Relieving' are printed on the packaging in large black letters.

    The pain products, manufactured in the U.S., were sold online at hempvana.com, amazon.com, eBay.com, walmart.com, Altmeyers.com, bedbathhome.com, fredmeyer.com, hamricks.com, hannaford.com, safeway.com, riteaid.com, cvs.com, and boscovs.com, and at Walmart, Altmeyers, Fred Meyer, Hamricks, Hannaford, Safeway, Rite Aid, CVS, and Boscovs stores nationwide from April 2021, through January 2022, for about $20.

    What to do

    Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled products and store them in a safe location out of sight and away from young children.

    Product owners can contact Telebrands for information on how to safely dispose of the recalled products and how to receive a full refund or a free child-resistant closure for the jar products.

    In addition, Telebrands is providing a $15 digital coupon code good toward the purchase of any Hempväna products at www.Hempvana.com.

    Forest River is recalling 1,561 model year 2022 Palomino Puma and Puma XLE fifth wheel and travel trailer RVs.

    The exterior micro kitchen griddle may be stowed while still connected to propane.

    A stowed griddle connected to propane increases the risk of a fire.

    What to do

    Dealers will install a bracket to prevent the griddle from being stowed when connected to the propane line free of charge.

      GE Appliances recalls bottom freezer, French door refrigerators

      The freezer handle can detach when a consumer tries to open the freezer drawer

      GE Appliances of Louisville, Ky., is recalling about 157,300 GE-brand free-standing French door refrigerators in fingerprint-resistant stainless steel sold in the U.S. and Canada.

      The freezer handle can detach when a consumer tries to open the freezer drawer, posing a fall hazard to the consumer.

      The firm has received 71 reports of the freezer drawer handle detaching, resulting in 37 reported injuries, including three serious fall injuries.

      This recall involves six models of GE-brand French Door Refrigerators with bottom freezers in fingerprint-resistant stainless steel, which were manufactured from February 2020, through August 2021.

      The brand name, model, and serial number for each unit are printed on a label located on the top of the left side of the interior of the refrigerator compartment. The refrigerators are 36 inches wide.

      The affected model numbers are:

      • GFE26JYMKFFS,
      • GFE26JYMNFFS,
      • GNE27EYMKFFS,
      • GNE27EYMNFFS,
      • GNE27JYMKFFS, and
      • GNE27JYMNFFS.

      The serial numbers for the affected models begin with one of the following two-letter combinations: DR, FR, GR, HR, LR, MR, RR, SR, TR, VR, ZR, AS, DS, FS, GS, HS, LS, and MS.

      The refrigerators, manufactured in Mexico, were sold at The Home Depot, Lowe’s, Best Buy, and other home improvement and home appliance stores nationwide and online at Lowes.com and BestBuy.com from February 2020, through January 2022, for between $1,900 and $2,500.

      What to do

      Consumers should contact GE Appliances to determine if their unit is part of the recall and to schedule a free in-home service call to have the freezer’s handle mounting fasteners replaced, to have the handle reinstalled, and to receive instructions for safe use pending a repair. The firm is contacting all known purchasers directly.

      Keystone RV Company is recalling 1,155 model year 2022 Bullet, Outback, and Passport travel trailers.

      The coupler hitch may have been welded improperly, which can cause the trailer to separate from the tow vehicle.

      Trailer separation from a tow vehicle can increase the risk of a crash or injury.

      Nearly 600,000 Teslas recalled

      The pedestrian warning sound may be obscured

      Tesla is recalling 594,717 model year 2020-2022 Model Y, Model X, Model S, and model year 2017-2022 Model 3 vehicles, superseding an earlier recall.

      The Boombox function allows sounds to be played through an external speaker while the vehicle is in motion, which may obscure the Pedestrian Warning System (PWS) sounds.

      Pedestrians may be unaware of an approaching vehicle if the PWS sounds are obscured, increasing the risk of a crash.

      What to do

      Tesla will perform an over-the-air (OTA) software update that will disable the Boombox functionality when the vehicle is in Drive, Neutral, and Reverse modes, including Summon and Smart Summon, free of charge.

      Vehicles configured with Summon or Smart Summon that have already been remedied under the earlier recall will need to have the new remedy software installed.

      Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed on June 6, 2022.

      Ocean Equipment recalls diving inflation valves

      The internal part in the valve can malfunction while in use

      Ocean Equipment of Canada is recalling about 1,700 shell diving inflation valves with int’l nipples for diving dry suits.

      An internal part in the valve can malfunction while in use, causing loss of inflation and thermal protection. This could pose a risk of hypothermia to users.

      The firm has received three reports of the valve part malfunctioning, resulting in a loss of inflation in the dry suit. No injuries have been reported.

      This recall involves the shell inflation valves with int'l nipples that come with diving dry suits, but the part is also sold separately. The shell inflation valve is used in recreational and technical diving to inflate the diving dry suit to allow the diver to equalize air pressure while descending in the water by pressing on the valve; it also provides thermal protection to the diver.

      A list of the recalled model numbers and batch codes, stamped on the inside of the recalled valve, may be found here. Instructions on how to find and identify the batch code can be found at www.sitech.se.

      The diving inflation valves, manufactured in Sweden, were sold at Underwater Development in Tulalip, Washington; Aquala Diving in Shreveport, Louisiana; Underwater Sports in Seattle, Washington; and other dealers, dive centers, dive suit manufacturers, and distributors nationwide from April 2019, through May 2021, for about $100.

      What to do

      Consumers should immediately stop using the dry suits with the recalled inflation valve and contact Ocean Equipment to receive a notification form and shipping information to return the recalled valve free of charge.

      The valve part will be replaced by trained technicians who are exclusively authorized to update the valve with a free replacement valve part.

      Mador recalls biOrigins sodium hydroxide products

      The packaging is not child-resistant

      Madar Corporation of the United Kingdom is recalling about 30 bags of biOrigins sodium hydroxide products.

      The product, which contains sodium hydroxide, is not packed in the child-resistant packaging that is required by the Poison Prevention Packaging Act. This poses a risk of chemical burns and irritation to the skin and eyes.

      No incidents or injuries have been reported.

      The recall involves biOrigins-branded sodium hydroxide products sold in 500-gram and 1-kilogram zip-top, silver bags.

      The biOrigins logo and “LYE CAUSTIC SODA/SODIUM HYDROXIDE” are printed on the front of the bag on a white and blue label. The weight and batch number (4430708, 4423901, 4415403, or 4408414) appear on the back of the product.

      The sodium hydroxide products, manufactured in the U.K, were sold online at amazon.com from July 2020, through July 2021, for between $27 and $40.

      What to do

      Bestar recalls wall beds

      The wall beds can detach from the wall and fall

      Bestar of Canada is recalling about 182,000 wall beds sold in the U.S. and Canada.

      The wall beds can detach from the wall and fall onto nearby people, posing serious impact and crush hazards.

      The firm has received reports of 60 incidents resulting in bruising and other injuries. In July 2018, a 79-year-old woman died after a Bestar wall bed fell on her.

      This recall involves the Nebula, PUR, Versatile, Edge, Cielo, Audrea, Lumina, Orion, and Novello Full and Queen Wall Beds.

      The beds were sold online at Wayfair.com, Costco.com, Cymax.com, and Amazon.com from June 2014, through March 2022, for between $1,650 and $2,200.

      What to do

      Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled wall beds and consult the communication they received from Bestar. Consumers who are uncertain whether their wall bed needs to be reinstalled are entitled to a free inspection.

      Brake lights on affected vehicles may illuminate constantly

      Arcimoto is recalling 516 model year 2020-2022 Deliverator, model year 2019-2022 FUV, model year 2021-2022 Rapid Responder, and model year 2020-2022 Roadster motorcycles.

      The brake pressure switch may corrode after exposure to salt and chemicals found in de-icers, causing the brake lights to illuminate constantly.

      Brake lights that remain illuminated can cause confusion to other drivers and increase the risk of a crash.

      Stokke recalls Clikk high chairs

      The white plastic seat can break, posing fall and injury hazards

      Stokke of Stamford, Conn., is recalling about 840 Clikk high chairs sold in the U.S. and Canada.

      The white plastic seat can break, posing fall and injury hazards to children.

      The company has received six reports of the seat breaking, including two reports of minor bruises.

      This recall involves white Stokke Clikk high chairs with a white molded plastic seat and foot rest with wooden legs.

      Only Clikk high chairs that are white, have an item number of 552104, and are within the serial number range of 135AA057070 to 135AA0057908 are included in this recall. The item and serial number are printed on a label located under the seat of the high chair.

      The recalled high chairs were manufactured from December 16, 2020, through December 18, 2020, and have Stokke Clikk High Chair on the label.

      The high chairs, manufactured in the Netherlands, were sold at Target, Buy Buy Baby, and other children’s product stores nationwide and online at www.stokke.com and www.amazon.com from January 2021, through June 2021, for about $180.

      What to do

      Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled white high chairs and contact Stokke for a free replacement. Consumers will receive the free replacement Clikk high chair in white after visiting Stokke’s website to confirm that their product is included in the recall and registering the product online.

      LeMans recalls Drag Specialties replacement laced motorcycle rear wheel

      The wheel spokes may break

      LeMans Corporation is recalling 51 Drag Specialties replacement laced motorcycle rear wheels that are included under part number 0204-0369 and wheel size 16" x 3.00".

      Replacement wheels provided under an earlier recall were welded incorrectly during production, which may cause the spokes to break.

      Broken spokes can cause wheel failure, increasing the risk of a crash.

      What to do

      LeMans will provide a full refund for the wheel and any associated labor for wheel removal free of charge. Owners who received a replacement wheel under the earlier recall will need to replace their wheel again.

      The manufacturer has not yet provided a schedule for recall notification.
