    Kia recalls Soul and Seltos vehicles

    The piston oil rings may not have been heat-treated properly

    Kia Motors America is recalling 147,249 model year 2020-2021 Soul, and model year 2021 Seltos vehicles with 2.0L Nu MPI engines.

    The piston oil rings may not have been properly heat-treated, which may result in engine damage.

    A damaged engine may stall, increasing the risk of a crash.

    In addition, oil may leak onto hot exhaust components, posing the risk of a fire.

    What to do

    Kia will notify owners, and dealers will inspect and -- if necessary -- replace the engine free of charge.

    In addition, Kia will deploy Piston Ring Noise Sensing System (PNSS) software.

    The recall is expected to begin June 11, 2021.

    Lake Champlain Chocolates recalls Mr. Goodtime Bunny

    The product contains almonds, an allergen not declared on the label

    Lake Champlain Chocolates is recalling Mr. Goodtime Bunny.

    A consumer reported that the product contains almonds, an allergen not declared on the label.

    There are no report of illness or injury to date.

    The recalled product, with a Best By date of November 20, 2021, was sold by 16 retailers in California, Connecticut, Massachucetts, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island, Texas Vermont & Virginia, through the company’s website and its retail store in Burlington, Vermont.

    What to do

    Customers with an allergy or sensitivity to almonds who purchased the recalled product should not consume it and may request a replacement.

    Subaru recalls Imprezas and Crosstreks

    The Engine Control Module may cause a stall

    Subaru of America is recalling 466,205 model year 2017-2019 Imprezas and model year 2018-2019 Crosstreks.

    The Engine Control Module (ECM) may continue to power the ignition coil after the engine is shut off, causing a short circuit.

    A short circuit in the ignition coils may cause a stall, increasing the risk of a crash.

    What to do

    Subaru will notify owners, and dealers will update the ECM software, replace the ignition coils and -- if necessary -- the front exhaust pipe free of charge.

    The recall is expected to begin May 28, 2021.

      LifeSeasons recalls bottles of Blood Nourish-R

      The product's packaging is not child-resistant

      LifeSeasons of Springville, Utah, is recalling about 7,800 bottles of  LifeSeasons Blood Nourish-R Iron Supplement.

      The packaging of the dietary supplement, which contains iron, is not in child-resistant packaging, as required bylaw, posing a poisoning risk if the contents are swallowed by young children.

      No incidents or injuries have been reported.

      This recall involves bottles of LifeSeasons Blood Nourish-R dietary supplement with iron.

      The brown, 60-capsule count bottles, have a white and red label, with the LifeSeasons logo printed on the front and the UPC code 5376000245 on the back.

      A list of the lot numbers and corresponding expiration dates, which are printed on the underside of the bottle, may be found here.

      The dietary supplement, manufactured in the U.S., was sold at health food stores nationwide and online at lifeseasons.com and Amazon.com from October 2020, through January 2021, for about $26.

      What to do

      Consumers should immediately store the product in a safe location out of reach of children, and contact LifeSeasons for instructions on how to return the product for a full refund, or a refund in the form of a merchandise credit for the amount equal to the purchase price.

      The vehicle's battery may shutdown without warning.

      Arcimoto is recalling 252 model year 2019-2021 FUVs, model year 2020-2021 Deliverators & Roadsters and model year 2021 Rapid Responders.

      The inverter's firmware may allow the vehicle's battery to shutdown without warning.

      Opening the main contactor may cause a battery shutdown and loss of motive power, increasing the risk of a crash.

      What to do

      Arcimoto will notify owners, and update the firmware free of charge.

      What to do

      Yamaha will notify owners, and dealers will install a primary retaining nut and washer free of charge.

      Blount Fine Foods is recalling a single lot – 2,987 cases -- of Panera at Home Lobster Bisque.

      The product may contain egg, an allergen not declared on the label.

      No illness complaints have been reported to date.

      The recalled product, which comes in a 16-oz. cup with lot number 030821-11K and “Use By” date of 5/17/2021, was sold in refrigerated cases in the deli department of grocery-retail stores in California. Colorado Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Massachusetts , Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, North Carolina, Nebraska, New Jersey Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, Washington and Wisconsin.

      It is NOT sold at any Panera bakery-cafe.

      What to do

      Customers with an egg allergy or sensitivity who purchased the recalled product should not consume it, but return it to the place of purchase or visit www.blountfinefoods.com/recall for reimbursement.
