The brake master cylinder can separate from the booster assembly

Veoneer Brake Systems is recalling 137,033 Brake Booster assemblies with the following part numbers that were installed in certain Honda vehicles:

  • 4600A-TBA-A000,
  • 4600A-TBA-A100,
  • 4600A-TBF-A110,
  • 4600A-TG7-A500,
  • 4600A-TGS-A200, and
  • 4600A-TYR-A100.

The tie rod fastener that connects the brake booster and the brake master cylinder may have been improperly assembled during manufacturing, which can cause the brake master cylinder to separate from the booster assembly.

Brake master cylinder separation can cause a loss of brake function and increase the risk of a crash.
