The vehicles' rear hazard warning lights and parking lights may fail

Porsche Cars North America is recalling 2,934 model year 2024 Cayennes, Cayenne Ss, Cayenne Coupes, Cayenne Turbo GTs and Cayenne S Coupes.

After the vehicle is turned off, the rear hazard warning lights and the parking lights may not illuminate if they are activated within 10 seconds after the gateway control unit shuts off.

Rear hazard warning lights and parking lights that fail to illuminate can reduce the vehicle's visibility to other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash.

What to do

Dealers will update the gateway control unit software, free of charge.

Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed September 26, 2023.

Owners may contact Porsche's customer service at (800) 767-7243. Porsche's number for this recall is APB1.
