Porsche recalls 24,000 model year 2017-2021 Panamera models

The external coolant pump may short circuit posing a fire risk

Porsche Cars North America is recalling 24,467 model year 2017-2021 Panameras, Panamera 4s, Panamera GTSs and Panamera Turbos.

Humidity may enter the external coolant pump for the climate control system and cause an electrical short circuit.

An electrical short circuit increases the risk of a vehicle fire.

What to do

Dealers will replace the external coolant pump and inspect and replace the plug-in connection -- if necessary -- free of charge.

Owner notification letters should be in the mail around March 27, 2023.
