JX Restaurant of Maryland Heights, Mo., is recalling approximately 621 pounds of fully-cooked chicken and fried rice.

The product contains sesame oil, an allergen not declared on the label.

There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions.

The following item, produced between Oct. 27 and Nov. 8, 2023, is being recalled

  • 16-oz. plastic trays containing “SISTER SISTER GENERAL TSO’S CHICKEN with FRIED RICE” and lot codes 11/07/23, 11/11/23, 11/17/23, 11/18/23, or 11/19/23 represented on the label.

The recalled product bearing establishment number “P-754” inside the USDA mark of inspection, was shipped to retail locations in Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, and Wisconsin.

What to do

Customers with an allergy or severe sensitivity to sesame oil who purchased the recalled product should not consume it, but discard or return it to the place of purchase.

The U.S. Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) routinely conducts recall effectiveness checks to verify ingredients.
