The bike's brake lights may illuminate unexpectedly

Indian Motorcycle Company is recalling 11,648 of the following motorcycles:

  • Model year 2020-2022 Challengers, Challenger Dark Horses and Challenger Limiteds,
  • Model year 2022 Challenger Dark Horse Icons, Challenger Elites, FTR 1200s, FTR 1200 Rallys, FTR 1200 Ss, FTR 1200 R Carbons, Pursuit Dark Horses, Challenger JD Limited Editions, Pursuit Limited Icons, Pursuit Dark Horse Premiums, Pursuit Limiteds and , Pursuit Limited Premiums,
  • Model year 2019-2020 FTR 1200 Ss and FTR 1200s, and
  • Model year 2020 FTR 1200 Rallys.

The brake lights may illuminate unexpectedly and without brake application from the rider.

Unintended illumination of the brake lights may create confusion for the drivers following the motorcycle, increasing the risk of a crash.

What to do

Dealers will update the ABS module software free of charge.

Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed February 14, 2024.
