Cedar’s Mediterranean Foods recalls Organic Mediterranean Hommus

The product may contain food allergens that are not declared on the label

Cedar’s Mediterranean Foods has issued a voluntary recall for its Organic Mediterranean Hommus product because they may contain pine nuts that are not listed on the back label. Consumers who have a severe tree nut allergy who unknowingly eat the product could experience a severe or fatal allergic reaction.

The product was packaged in 10 oz. bags and distributed in 23 states, which can be viewed in full on the FDA’s website

The recalled products bear a UPC Code of 044115403028 on the container with a sell-by date of Dec. 12, 2021. The company says no illnesses related to the recall have been confirmed thus far.
