    Sun Pharma recalls Kroger brand acetaminophen

    The product's packaging is not child-resistant

    Sun Pharmaceutical Industries of Princeton, N.J., is recalling about 34,660 bottles of Kroger Acetaminophen.

    The packaging of the product is not child-resistant, posing a risk of poisoning if the contents are swallowed by young children.

    No incidents or injuries have been reported.

    This recall involves the Kroger brand acetaminophen over-the-counter drug. The red, white, and gray label states Kroger, Acetaminophen, Extended-Release Tablets USP, 650mg, Pain Reliever/Fever Reducer, 100 caplets.

    The bottle has a white continuous thread closure. The UPC number is 0004126001287, and the batch codes are AC45463, AC38213, or AC30682. The location of the UPC number is under the bar code on the packaging, and the batch code is at the bottom of the label on the bottle.

    The acetaminophen, manufactured in the U.S., was sold at Baker's, City Market, Dillons, Dillons Marketplace, Fred Meyer, Fry's Food and Drug, Fry's Marketplace, Fry's Mercado, Gerbes, JayC, JayC Food Plus, King Soopers, King Soopers Fresh Fare, King Soopers Marketplace, Kroger, Kroger Fresh Fare, Kroger Marketplace, Mariano's, Metro Market, Payless Super Market, Pick 'n Save, Pick 'n Save Marketplace, Smith's, and Smith's Marketplace stores nationwide from October 2021, through March 2022, for about $9.

    What to do

    Consumers should immediately store the recalled products in a safe location out of reach and sight of children. Customers can contact Kroger for information on how to properly dispose of the product and receive a full refund.

      Henkel recalls Alterna Bond Repair Leave-in Heat Protection Spray

      The product may be contaminated with Burkholderia cepacia complex

      Henkel Corporation is recalling 180 bottles of Alterna Bond Repair Leave-in Heat Protection Spray.

      The product may be contaminated with Burkholderia cepacia complex (Bcc), which can cause an increased risk for illness or infection in people with underlying lung disease, especially cystic fibrosis.

      The firm has received no reports of harm or injury.

      The recalled product -- which comes in a 4.2-oz. purple, plastic, spray bottle marked with Y401427403 on the bottom -- was distributed nationwide through a distributor beginning no earlier than April 12, 2022.

      What to do

      Customers who purchased the recalled product should return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.

      Spirit Halloween of Egg Harbor Township, N.J., is recalling about 12,400 Spirit Halloween 48” black lights.

      The bulb in the fixture can pop, flash and overheat, posing fire and burn hazards.

      The firm has received seven reports of bulbs popping, flashing, and catching on fire or smoking, including one mild burn injury.

      This recall involves a four-foot Spirit black light fixture & bulb.

      The light’s housing is black and has a 48-inch black light bulb. A date code 2021/06 is printed on the bottom of the unit. The Model number LT-B48P and SKU number 01536721 is printed on the packaging.

      The unit plugs into a standard outlet and has an on/off switch located on the power cord.

      The black lights, manufactured in China, were sold at Spirit Halloween stores nationwide and online at www.spirithalloween.com from August through November 2021, for about $35.

      Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled black light fixtures and contact Spirit Halloween for a full refund.

      Nautilus of Vancouver, Wash., is recalling about 7,300 Nautilus treadmills.

      The treadmills can start on their own, posing a fall hazard to a user.

      The firm has received 21 reports of the treadmills self-starting. No injuries have been reported.

      This recall involves Nautilus treadmills with model number T616 and serial numbers 100672PRO21140001 through 100672PRO21171980 and model number T618, and serial numbers 100647PRO21130111 through 100647PRO21183960.

      Nautilus and the model number are printed on the plastic shroud at the front of the treadmill’s walking belt. The serial number is on the base-frame of the treadmill beneath the belt.

      The treadmills, manufactured in China, were sold at Best Buy, Walmart and other stores nationwide and online at www.Nautilus.com and www.Amazon.com from April 2021, through November 2021, for about $1,150 for Model T616, and about $1,500 for Model T618.

      What to do

      Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled treadmills and contact Nautilus to receive a free USB flash drive with a software upgrade and installation instructions.

      Nautilus will automatically ship the USB flash drive and instructions at no cost to customers who purchased the treadmills directly from Nautilus.

      The instructions will direct consumers to plug the flash drive into the USB port on the treadmill to upload the software upgrade.

      The emergency call system may become disabled

      Daimler Vans USA (DVUSA) is recalling 19,937 model year 2019-2021 Freightliner Sprinter, Mercedes-Benz Metris, and Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vans.

      An error in the communication module's SIM card software can cause a mobile network connection failure, disabling the emergency call (eCall) system.

      A disabled eCall system would prevent a vehicle occupant from contacting the emergency services call center in an emergency, potentially delaying emergency responders and increasing the risk of injury.

      What to do

      The communication module software will be updated through an Over-the-Air (OTA) update or by a dealer free of charge.

      An issue with the steering shaft could cause drivers to lose control of the vehicle

      Daimler Trucks North America, LLC is recalling 3,578 Freightliner M2 vehicles that have a higher risk of crashing. 

      The company says the u-joint pinch bolt on the steering shaft of affected vehicles may become attached. This could result in a loss of steering control when the vehicles are being driven. 

      Dealers are being advised to inspect and repair the joint, if necessary, for free. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed by July 25, 2022.
