National Frozen Foods Corporation (NFFC) is recalling a limited quantity of Not-Ready-To Eat Individually Quick Frozen (IQF) green beans and IQF mixed vegetables.

The products may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.

There has been no report of human illness to date.

The following products, distributed to foodservice accounts in bulk and packaged containers in Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Idaho, Illinois, Kansas, Michigan, Mississippi, Montana, North Dakota, IL, Nebraska, New Mexico, Nevada, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia and Washington between August 18, 2017, and January 12, 2018, are being recalled:

The products may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes

Rich Products of Vineland, N.J., is recalling approximately 3,420 pounds of beef meatballs that may be adulterated with Listeria monocytogenes.

The the following ready-to-eat frozen items, produced on December 17, 2017, are being recalled:

  • 36-lb. cases containing six 6-lb. bags of “Member’s Mark Casa DI BERTACCHI ITALIAN STYLE BEEF MEATBALLS” with a “Best if Used By 17 DEC 2018” label and a lot code of 15507351 on the packaging.

The the recalled products, bearing establishment number “EST. 5336” inside the USDA mark of inspection, were shipped to distributors in Alabama, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia.

The recalled Top’s Orange Cream Bars, which come in a 12-ct retail box with a production date of December 18, 2017, and a “best by” date of December 18, 2018, were sold in Tops retail stores in New York, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts.

The recalled Purple Cow Orange Cream Bars, which come in a 12-ct retail box with a production date of November 30, 2017, and a “best by” date of November 30, 2018, were sold in Meijer retail stores in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky and Wisconsin.

Springfield Smoked Fish of Springfield, Mass., is expanding its earlier recall of smoked fish products that have the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.

The initial recall was limited to 1-lb pre-sliced Nova Salmon produced on November 24,17.

The recall expansion includes product produced between May 22, 2017, and December 12, 2017, the date production of the products ended.

No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this problem.

The products may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.

The following products, sold or distributed under the brand name "Apple Ridge," are being recalled:

Honeycrisp apples in two-pound clear plastic bags;

  • Gala, Fuji, and Golden Delicious apples in 3-pound clear plastic bags;
  • Fuji and Gala apples in 5-pound red-netted mesh bags; and
  • Gala, Fuji and Honeycrisp apples that were tray-packed/individually sold.

The products can be identified by the following lot numbers printed on the bag label and/or bag-closure clip:

  • Fuji: NOI 163, 165, 167, 169, 174
  • Honeycrisp: NOI 159, 160, 173 Golden Delicious: NOI 168
  • Gala: NOI 164, 166 on either the product labels and/or bag-closure clip.

The recalled apples were processed and shipped by Nyblad Orchards from December 11 through December 16, 2017, and distributed through retail stores in Michigan, Georgia, Missouri, Indiana and Ohio.

Veggie Noodle Co. based out of Austin, Texas is voluntarily recalling certain Butternut Spiral products due concerns of a possible listeria contamination.

Listeria monocytogenes is an organism can be potentialy fatal to young children, the elderly, or consumers with frail or compromised immune systems. However, even healthy consumers can experience symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain, and diarhhea. Pregnant women who are infected stand the chance of having a miscarriage or stillbirth.

The recalled products were packaged in 10.7 oz clear plastic containers with the universal product code (UPC) of 852287006059 and an "Enjoy By" date of February 23, 2017; both pieces of information can be found on the side of the packaging. 

The products were shipped to several U.S. states, including Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio, and Wisconsin. There have been no reported illnesses related to the recall at this time.

Herring products packaged in retail package have a 90 day shelf life, products in bulk buckets have a 28 day shelf life and products in vacuum packages have a 21 day shelf life.

Bakkavor Foods USA is recalling Trader Joe’s Mediterranean Hummus and Trader Joe’s White Bean & Basil Hummus.

The products may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.

There have been no confirmed illnesses to date.

The following products, which come in 16-oz. plastic tubs with SKU numbers printed on the top labels and "USE BY" date codes stamped on the bottom of the tubs, are being recalled:

Hale and Hearty Soups of Brooklyn, N.Y., is recalling approximately 455 pounds of ready-to-eat chicken chili soup product that may be adulterated with Listeria monocytogenes.

The following item, produced and packaged on November 9, 2016, is being recalled:

  • 6.9-lb. bags containing “CHICKEN CHILI SOUP” with an “Expires:12/09” date.

The recalled product, bearing establishment number “P-34800” inside the USDA mark of inspection, as shipped to food service distributors in Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York and Vermont.

What to do

Customers who purchased the recalled product should not consume it, but throw it away or return it to the place of purchase.

Greencore, USA recalls Mediterranean Chicken Hummus” sandwiches made for 7-Eleven

The recall is tied to the Sabra Dipping Company recall

Greencore, USA is recalling Fresh to Go Mediterranean Chicken Hummus sandwiches (UPC 5254858888) manufactured solely for 7-Eleven.

Sabra Dipping Company has recalled the red pepper hummus ingredient used in this sandwich because of potential contamination with Listeria monocytogenes.

There are no reports of illnesses associated with the recalled product.

Because of the two day shelf life of the product, Greencore is recalling only lots distributed since October 15, 2016. the recalled product was distributed to 7-Eleven stores in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Wisconsin and Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire and New York.
