J.T.M. Provisions Company of Harrison, Ohio, is recalling approximately 200 pounds of ready-to-eat (RTE) chili topping.

While the product is labeled as chili topping, it may actually contain beef taco filling with soy, an allergen not declared on the label.

There are no confirmed reports of adverse reactions.

The following item, which was produced March 14, 2023, comes in 5-lb. boilable plastic bags marked “Gordon Choice Homestyle Chili Topping,” with lot code 230732002. and establishment number “1917A” inside the USDA mark of inspection, was shipped to institutional and retail locations nationwide.

What to do

Customers with an allergy or severe sensitivity to soy who purchased the recalled product should not consume it, but discard or return it to the place of purchase.
