DEKA Trading recalls ready-to-eat pork rinds

The products were imported from Guatemala, which is ineligible to export meat products to the U.S.

DEKA Trading Corp., of Miami, Fla., is recalling approximately 20,981 pounds of ready-to-eat pork rinds.

The products were imported from Guatemala which is not eligible to export meat products to the U.S.

There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions.

The following items, which do not bear an establishment number or a USDA mark of inspection, were shipped to wholesale and retail locations in Georgia, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island and Virginia:

  • 5.3 oz. (150g) foil pouch packages containing “TorTrix Con Chicharrón.”
  • 2.8 oz. (80g) foil pouch packages containing “Señorial Tortillitas MIX CON CHICHARRONES.

    What to do

    Customers who purchased the recalled products should not consume them, but discard or return them to the place of purchase.
