Solar SME starts the process with a consultation and a site assessment to assess your needs and options. The company also provides a quote for your system (including equipment and installation).

If you choose to proceed, Solar SME completes a site visit and works on permitting. From system design to operation permissions, it takes around two to six months to install; Solar SME’s average project time is three months. After permitting is complete, the panels are installed. The actual solar panel installation takes one to three days, and then it’s time for inspections and activation. Solar SME offers 24/7 monitoring service post-installation.

After your system is installed and active, Solar SME provides 24/7 system monitoring and ongoing maintenance services. This includes solar panel cleaning, efficiency checks and solar panel inspection. These routine maintenance services help extend solar panel life and ensure maximum efficiency.

Solar SME offers pricing as low as $3,542 for a 4-kilowatt (kW) system. In general, the average cost for a 6-kW system before any incentives is $17,852. System size is the biggest factor affecting overall costs.

This pricing is before any tax credits or other incentives are used, including the federal solar investment tax credit (ITC) and any state or municipal incentives.

Financing

Solar SME offers financing options for solar panel projects. The company has several options that don’t require down payments, and it offers solar leases and power purchase agreements (PPAs) in eligible states.

If you go with a lease or PPA, Solar SME owns and maintains the panels. You pay a fixed price for what the solar system produces. Speak with a representative to discuss financing and leasing options.

Solar SME provides a 25-year workmanship warranty. It installs Seraphim, REC and Qcells solar panels, all of which have a 25-year manufacturer warranty. There may be warranties available for other equipment, like batteries and inverters, depending on the manufacturer.
