Kenmore periodically updates its appliance warranties. The most recent update, released on January 10, 2024, has four parts. Current statements and revisions include:

• Proof of original sale: Kenmore issued a statement requiring proof of original sale from an authorized Transformco retailer.
• Provider clarification: Formerly known as Sears Brands Management Corporation, Transformco is the official warranty provider. In the United States, the warrantor is Transformco subsidiary Transform SR Brands Management.
• Updated contact: If you do not have a Transformco-authorized retailer within 30 miles, you must call 681-252-8136 between 8:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. CT, Monday through Saturday, to process your warranty — select option 9, then option 2.
• FTC disclosure: A Federal Trade Commission (FTC) disclosure statement is provided to advise you of your legal rights under federal law and, in some cases, state law.

A prior Kenmore warranty statement, issued January 1, 2023, provides one year of coverage against defects from the date of sale — or delivery in California — including free repair or replacement if needed.

Kenmore warranty exclusions and limitations

For a Kenmore appliance warranty to be valid, the appliance must be installed, operated and maintained according to the manufacturer's instructions included with purchase. No service technician will be covered under warranty to guide the user in the correct installation, operation, cleaning or maintenance of the appliance.

Other exclusions apply to Kenmore warranties, including the following:

Kenmore appliance warranty limitations

Additional limitations to Kenmore warranties apply, including:

• The warranty is valid only in the United States or Canada, although some warranties for specific models may provide coverage only in the United States.
• Kenmore appliance warranties apply specifically to those appliances used for private family purposes. If you use it for another purpose, the warranty only applies for 90 days from the date of purchase.
• The retailer from which the product was purchased may also affect coverage.

Transformco or its subsidiaries provide a Kenmore appliance warranty. In the United States, it is Transform SR Brands Management, formerly known as Sears Brands Management Corporation.

To start a claim, you must:

• Provide proof of the original sale to an authorized Kenmore (Transformco) retailer.
• Register your appliance with Kenmore using your model number.
• Provide your complete model number, serial number and purchase date.
