Most customers write about their experience post purchase. I am writing about my experience pre-purchase. I purchased a solar system from Semper Solaris at my previous home. It went very well. With that in mind, I needed more solar power on my new home. I was approved by CA State for an incentive program. I got approval on 1 July 2025 for $26,400. Semper Solaris submitted my application and were responsible for responding to the state requirements. They did not provide timely and satisfactory responses and the state threatened to cancel my incentive payment 3 times.

SS asked for extensions which were granted but not the 4th time. SS sent me placating messages weekly saying they were working hard for me, they were busy... excuses excuses excuses. Absolutely no actions. Here I was, ready to spend $40K with them and they didn't have the time or inclination to answer any of my questions or respond to my request to talk to a specialist.

Supposedly the company president ordered the regional manager to handle my case personally. I sent him an email outlining the situation and waited 2 weeks without a word. The 3rd state cancellation announcement arrived. I got a message saying they were responding and the state gave them 3 days. At the end... no action so my case was canceled and I lost $26,400 incentive payment. I have absolutely no recourse. But, reading other customer problems... they suffered the same thing after purchasing a product. No response to problems, no actions, placating messages, no communications....etc.

Therefore, even though I was a Marine for over 20 years and trusted Kelly, a former Marine Captain and co-owner of SS, his company surely does not meet leadership standards of Justice - Be fair and impartial in decision-making. Judgment - Make sound decisions based on facts and experience. Dependability - Be reliable and trustworthy in all actions. Initiative - Take action and be proactive in addressing challenges. Decisiveness - Make timely decisions, even under pressure. Integrity - Uphold strong moral principles and honesty. Therefore, if you are reading this, do not buy from this company as you will not be happy with their service or communications.

Stay away from this company!!!! They were absolutely incredible during the sales portion of the process, and it has been a nightmare since. We got our solar panels and power walls installed and the installers would have just walked away from the project without giving me any idea of what to expect unless I would have asked as they were walking out. I was then told it would take approximately 2-6 weeks from install to have everything fully functional. I am moving on to TEN MONTHS since installation without a fully functioning system.

I initially thought it was PG&E causing the delay, but one person who I worked with at PG&E told me that there would be 2-4 weeks before Semper Solaris would answer PG&E asking for some more information. Additionally, PG&E told me they would ask multiple times for certain information (literally they needed a yes or no answer), and they never received the answer. I am paying for my solar and solar panels without them being fully functional. STAY AWAY from this company.
