I am so happy they shut them down, they are a scamming bunch of foreigners who don’t speak English and ripping off people with that luggage prices. They ripped and stole my money even though I didn’t bring my luggage on. It was too expensive. I’m so happy they shut them down. They didn’t mind ripping me off and I am disabled. Thieves. I hope they never come back. Thieves.

It had been ten years since the last time I chose to fly by air. I was forced to recently and after my miserable experience with Spirit Air, I never will again. A nightmare of confusion weaponized with gross upselling — every time you think you are all set there is one more step you never had to deal with before for more money. I would rather eat glass than deal with this substandard hustlers again. Pay the extra bucks and avoid this grift unless you have no other choice.

How do you only have 1 crew to help with bags. I have been waiting for over a hour and still no bags. Please do better.

My flight was cancelled at the last minute, leaving me stranded without any reasonable alternatives. I was not offered a replacement flight until four days later, which is an unacceptable delay. Additionally, no assistance was provided for accommodations during this time, nor was there any support offered to address the significant inconvenience caused.

Spirit, this was a disgusting and unacceptable experience. Ruben handled the situation terribly. My parents are two older adults, and they were moved from gate to gate five different times. On top of that, they refused to provide wheelchair assistance even though it was clearly needed. This was not only disorganized, but also deeply disrespectful and inhumane. No passengers, especially older adults, should be treated this way. The lack of care, communication, and basic human decency was shocking. Spirit should be ashamed of this level of service.

Worst airline, they changed my return flight a day earlier 2 days before our weeklong family spring break trip to Miami. Gave us options if we want to cancel the flight. We had made resort reservations and other plans. Poor service. I wonder why FAA doesn’t do anything to penalize Spirit airlines.

My experience with Spirit Airlines was one of the worst I’ve ever had. It was a complete chain of negligence, poor organization, and disrespect from the staff in Orlando. My wife, a friend, and I were flying from Boston to Houston with a connection in Orlando, all under one single reservation. The flight from Boston departed 45 minutes late, despite perfect weather and the aircraft already being at the gate. When we landed in Orlando, the plane sat on the runway for another 25 minutes, leaving us with almost no time for our connection.

Even so, we ran and reached the gate within minutes, while passengers were still boarding. As soon as the supervisor saw us arriving, he closed the door right in front of us and said in a rude tone: “The flight is closed, nothing can be done.” I explained that we were coming from their own delayed flight, on the same reservation, and he arrogantly repeated: “You need to be here two hours before.” He completely ignored that Spirit was the reason we were late.

The only polite employee was a young woman named Paola, who told us the flight was already full due to overbooking and that nothing could be done. When I told her I was recording, she called the supervisor, who came back only to tell us that we would get no hotel, no food, claiming the missed connection was “due to weather,” which was absolutely false. When he realized I was recording him as well, he refused to assist my wife and me any further and sent us to “customer service,” where we finally received boarding passes for the next day.

In summary: Unjustified delays. Zero responsibility for missed connections. Overbooked flights. Rude, arrogant, and unprofessional supervisor. False excuses to deny hotel and meal vouchers. No empathy, no accountability, no professionalism. Spirit Airlines does not honor its commitments, does not respect its passengers, and its staff lacks basic customer service skills. I do not recommend this airline under any circumstances.

Terrible services, Spirit airlines keep delay over and over, I booked with spirit airlines round trips and they delayed so many times. Employees were so rude, so mean, and pushed my sons so hardly when he tried to get in air plane. I will not go to this airline again, I’m so disappointing about customer services. Now I know why your flights are cheap, cheap about customer service and cheap about keeping delay flights. If there is vote for using this airline, I will vote minus

No Absolutely one of the worst travel experiences I’ve ever had. We originally booked a flight with Spirit Airlines for March 21 at 12:29 PM, departing from Chicago to San Juan, Puerto Rico. Leading up to our trip, we kept receiving email confirmations that everything was on time. No issues at all. Then, the moment we arrived at the airport, we were blindsided with an email saying our flight was CANCELLED. No warning. No heads up. Just canceled. The only options given were to rebook or take a refund. The earliest available rebooking wasn’t until Tuesday, which completely ruined our plans, so we were forced to take a refund and book last-minute tickets with United Airlines costing us significantly more money out of pocket. We were told our baggage would be transferred to our return flight, which added to the confusion and stress. Unfortunately, it didn’t end there.

On our way back from Puerto Rico, we were scheduled again for a 12:29 PM flight. Throughout the day, we kept getting delay notifications one after another until the last update pushed the flight all the way to 2:59 AM. We waited, checked in, and then unbelievably the flight was CANCELLED again. At that point, there was little to no help from staff. We were told to go to the Spirit desk, leaving us scrambling around the airport, trying to figure out how to retrieve our luggage from baggage claim, rebook flights, and then go back through TSA all over again. It was chaotic, exhausting, and completely disorganized.

Once again, no available flights until Monday or Tuesday. Rebooking with Spirit would have meant more delays, more uncertainty, and more money wasted with zero guarantee the flight wouldn’t be canceled AGAIN. So we had no choice but to request another refund and book with United Airlines spending even more money just to get home. This entire experience was stressful, expensive, and completely avoidable with proper communication and customer support. Spirit Airlines showed zero reliability and zero accountability. Never EVER flying with Spirit again. The “cheap” price is not worth the headache, the risk, or the extra costs you’ll end up paying in the end. Huge thanks to United Airlines for actually getting us home safely.
