Almost ruined my car. Changed transmission fluid and it has never run the same. Stay away!

Altoona Big O Tires put on tires that were too small for my SUV. Upon discovery of the mishap, a few months later when a bubble appeared on one of the tires, which they fully admitted the car was not safe to drive with those tires, all four needed to be replaced, they refused to put the right tires on without me paying full price because I did not buy the tire warranty. They wouldn't even prorate it. NEVER EVER use Big O Tires! They do not stand behind their work. So I bought new tires at Firestone.

Big-O. A $12 inspection turned into over $1500 in damages. I went in for a basic inspection so I could update my tags. They told me about the couple things that needed fixed like my wipers so it would pass inspection. I went ahead and had them fix the issues. In the process, I was told it would be about 10 more minutes. Almost an hour later my car was backed in and was the only car backed in the parking lot. The poor girl behind the counter couldn’t find my keys and I finally told them I was going out to my car one way or another. It turns out they backed in my car to hide the damage they did from backing it into another vehicle. The manager was very unprofessional with how he dealt with us by letting me sit in the lobby for as long as he did not letting me know about any damages until he was ready to shuffle me out the door. I got the three quotes required and spent almost 3 days of my time trying to fix what they did.

After I turned in the quotes, I told them I would prefer to be cut a check instead of using one of the places that quoted me the price (my choice). The manager told me that if he has to pay for my bumper, he will be sending it to a shop. I informed him I brought in a whole car for a $12 inspection and he has no grounds to stand when he not only wrecked my car, but tried to hide the fact that he did it. We ended up getting the regional manager involved, who is very professional however his communication skills in setting deadlines are definitely not his strongest skills.

We had to move the deadline on my check three times (3 weeks) and I was told it would be overnighted to me. It was sent priority and it wasn’t sent until I told him I had not received it yet. It seems like lying and dishonesty are also really Big character traits to be in management at Big O. I will not be using this shop or company again and I really do hope the city of Branson does take some action so our citizens don’t have to keep going through this. By the way, when I went to cash the check at the bank the teller informed me this was either the seventh or eighth check from damages that this location has done THIS YEAR. Good job for being the worst part of the best city in Missouri.

Incompetent wheel balancing, alignment and repairs. 4 return trips to shop for "adjustments" and problem still not resolved. Appointments are ridiculous and have no real value. Parking lot is too small to function without bumping into other cars. To avoid delay and get the job done right, go somewhere else.

I am filing a complaint regarding repeated negative experiences at a Big O Tires location in College Station, TX. Over multiple visits, I experienced unprofessional behavior from front desk staff, poor communication, and the need to call repeatedly just to request basic service or follow up. Staff attitude was dismissive and at times confrontational. I was also repeatedly pressured to approve additional repairs and replacements that I did not request, and the pricing was inconsistent with previous quotes, which caused confusion and frustration. More concerning, during a prior oil change service, my vehicle was returned with an oil leak, raising serious concerns about technical competence and attention to detail. Due to the combination of aggressive upselling, inconsistent pricing, unprofessional conduct, and poor workmanship, I no longer trust this location and believe these practices are unacceptable for a professional automotive service provider.

Went in for a simple oil change at the Grand Junction location. Some complete moron drained out every drop of transmission fluid, didn't touch the oil and sent me on my way. Big O made me pay for the oil change and refused to compensate me for the damage to my car. I had to scrap a 2014 Subaru for the damage they caused to the transmission. The car worked fine when I took it in and was never right after that and they knew it. HORRIBLE WAY TO DO BUSINESS. They should have admitted they messed up and made it right. DO NOT GO TO BIG-O FOR ANYTHING.

I recently had 2 brand new tractor tires and tubes that I'd ordered online mounted at Big O. I came home and mounted them on the front of my tractor - a 1952 Ford 8n I am rejuvenating but it still does not run. One tire went flat within two days. We took it back to Big O's where we were informed that we would have to buy a brand new tube and pay for them to fix it. It was a brand new tire and brand new tube I had paid them to install. Being shocked that they ruined my tube and still wanted to sell me another tube after charging me $43.09 for incompetent tire mounting, I took my tire and wheel to Les Schwab, who found the tube to have been pinched during initial mounting, and charged me $0 to repair it.

Afterwards, I went into Big O, showing them the receipt Les Schwab had given us stating that the tube had been pinched by Big O's incompetent tire mounting. The manager did not care at all. He seemed annoyed that I brought the issue to his attention and he made excuses, not even caring to apologize. Due to Big O's incompetence and dishonesty, we will no longer do business with them and advise anyone else to do the same.

I'm really disappointed in BigO tires in Ames, Iowa .We've bought tires from them before and we satisfied, but this time they suggested we would need a brake replacement (Rotars and pads) soon. We checked on another mechanic shop in Ames that could do it for less money and made an appointment. This is a reputable company, it just cost less. They checked the car and told me the brakes we definitely good for another 15k to 20k miles. I feel like Big O was trying to sell a service I didn't need. I disappointed in their deception.

Took my perfectly working car in for an oil change. 2 weeks later my car says add oil as soon as possible. I take it back to Big O...They say the sensor is "finicky". All good. I get home to notice oil leaking in my garage. I understand we all mess up at our jobs sometimes but honestly goes a long way and Big O failed on that. The workers are so nice but remember honesty is the best policy.
