I took a tire in because of a manufacturer's defect. They said it couldn't be warranted because of uneven tread wear which was caused by the defect. They then said they hadn't carried that brand in over three years so it would be out of warranty. I showed them the warranty paper dated less than 1 1/2 years ago. They said they couldn't do anything. So much for their warranty.

Big O Tires 3751 Pamela Rae Dr. I scheduled an appointment online for 8:00 a.m. and arrived early at 7:45 a.m. The team quickly inspected my vehicle and informed me that I needed front brakes. I authorized the repair immediately. After waiting for two hours, I noticed that no work had been started. When I asked for an update, I was told that no service bay was available. I reminded the staff that I had made a reservation, but the response was that “if it were up to them, they wouldn’t take appointments” and that my vehicle would be serviced whenever a bay opened up.

At that point, I requested my car back and decided to take it to my local Honda dealership—something I probably should have done from the start. Unfortunately, I did not receive an apology or even basic courtesy; the service desk attendant appeared irritated and avoided eye contact. This experience was disappointing, especially after many years of positive service at this location.

I'm very impressed with the customer service at Big O Tires in Loveland today (10/29/25). The staff, especially Hector, Troy, and Chris, were incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and made me feel taken care of. They were efficient and transparent about the work they were doing. These men were so respectful, they didn't talk down to me because I was a woman. They didn't try to upsell me. I was so impressed by their honesty and communication, I wanted to give them more of my business by having my much needed brakes done. It's rare to find this level of service these days. I highly recommend them!"

Took my 2005 F-150 to get the transmission flush the differential fluid changed.serpentine belt fuel filter change. In the process, they broke a brake line. We were told we will repair at no cost to you. Well, the repair was spliced in tubing held on with a single zip tie. The tubing was exposed on the back axle and in front, and was at risk of being ripped off. The flush I was told was a drain and fill, not a flush. I have a limited-slip differential and did not see any friction additive added. Was charged almost 800 in labor for fill and replace. Poor workmanship and overcharging for labor.

1 Star. I’ve taken two trucks here and both visits were extremely disappointing. The first time—a simple oil change and tire rotation—took 3–4 hours. The second visit for an oil change and new rear tires was no better. No updates unless I called. After three hours I’d be told “one more hour,” but when I arrived an hour later the vehicle still wasn’t done.

I dealt with Randy **, who repeatedly gave inaccurate estimates and never followed up with a call. I’ve wasted over seven hours total, and their timing has been off by at least three hours both times. Both visits were quiet in the shop, yet I saw children running around behind the counter and being held by employees while they were “helping” me—unprofessional and distracting. Poor communication, inaccurate scheduling, and a lack of professionalism—I won’t be back and can’t recommend this location.

Holiday trip in 2008 Tundra, Colorado and all of a sudden, slow speed grinding noise from the front when stopping or parking lot maneuvering, at higher speed everything worked as normal. Went to Big O, was told the disks were cracked and all the hardware holding the pads were mangled beyond use and the Toyota rear disks were undersized.

I had all four disks and pads replaced and bought two new tires, fast and efficient service. I was out in hours and only $1800 or so paid, went to pull out of the lot and hit the brakes, front sounded like it was grinding just like when I pulled in. I went back and they decided the rear Bearings were worn out and they could not fix them. I drove another two hundred miles with the traction control light and ABS light on and had the Toyota dealer replace the bearings and some minor services $2800 or so, again great services. So I'm thinking that the problem wasn't the disk, the pads and was the rear bearings; that the disk were not cracked and the pads and hardware was not mangled and the only thing I had needed was the two new tires and new rear bearings, which they could not provide.

Big O in Ozark, MO - I don’t even know where to start!

    1. Very unprofessional. If you go in for a service, they will tell you 45 minutes for example. I went in for a flat repair and explained that I had an hour lunch and asked if they could get it done within an hour. I was told absolutely! 2 hours later I was asking, when would my car be ready!?

    2. My husband and I both got 2 brand new sets of Michelin tires. They absolutely had NO regard for our rims and hubs! I’m willing to say that they ordered new hubs for his car and when he went in to pick them up, they tried cut corners and sent 2 separate workers out to try to put them on... They tried to pry off the old to pop on the new... Instead of doing it right and taking it in to raise it up, remove the wheel to pop out and replace the hub, they tried the LAZY WAY. This is only two instances… next.

Went in for a rotation and an oil change and my husband watched from the inside and they never rotated. When done my husband told the manager that they didn’t... he argued a little but said that he would watch the video of their work because everything is taped. Lo and behold, they DID NOT rotate... Long story short, they DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CRAFT... or CUSTOMER SERVICE. It’s just an hourly wage for them and they have absolutely NO INTEGRITY! Stick a fork in us, we are done after this last stint. Word of mouth is powerful and we will spread the word!

I took my car to Big O Tires last week for a battery replacement and oil change, and when I went to pick it up, the total was $650. Absolutely outrageous. The battery alone was $420 for an AGM, which I looked up online later and found was completely overpriced. I paid it, reluctantly. Then, I got in my car and immediately noticed the check engine light was on. Mason came out and checked it, then had the nerve to ask me “Are you sure it wasn’t already on?” "Uh… YES, I’m sure." Then he claimed they “documented” that it was on before they started working on it. What a convenient excuse. Sketchy doesn’t even begin to describe this, it felt like a slimy way to cover their tracks in case anything went wrong. He reset the light and it didn’t come back, which makes it even more suspicious.

While I was there, I asked for a rough estimate for brake repairs on my boyfriend’s car. Mason said about $500–$600, which sounded fine. We brought it in today for the inspection and suddenly they quoted us $840. We said no and walked out. Not even 10 minutes later, they called us back to say they “over quoted” and now it’s actually $650. Yeah, that’s not an accident, that’s a bait and switch. It’s a scam, plain and simple. Everything about this place reeks of shady practices. Between the inflated prices, the check engine light cover-up, and the wild quoting games, it’s clear they’re trying to squeeze every dollar they can from people who don’t know better. I’ve seen reviews saying people felt scammed, now I know exactly what they mean. I will never go back here and I’ll be posting this review on every single platform I can to warn others. Stay far away from Big O Tires.

I went to Big O Tires in Columbia mo on Wednesday June 18, 2025 to get them to repack my 4 wheel bearings and mount 2 new tires which I bought in myself because I don't trust their trailer tires for travel trailers because I had thier national brand tires before and had 3 blow outs in 1 season. But anyway the service writer waited till I got trailer unhooked and then told me it would cost me 250 dollars per axle, 500 dollars total, and that included new seals. I reluctantly said your prices have went up a lot since I was there in 2023 with travel trailer and not near as expensive. I asked if I could pick up next day, he said that was fine.

They called me that evening about 2 hours later and said it was done. The tech said it looked like someone had repacked bearings recently, I said yes you all did them a couple of years ago. When I went to pick it up next day they charged me over 600 bucks which I thought was ridiculous but what can I do. So I paid it, but of course I will never step a foot back into a Big O again!! Big O Tires. 412 East 18th street. California, Ca 94509. Do not go over here. These people (**) has the worst customer service ever. He will use the additional warranty that you purchased for your tires on the manufacturer's defect and charge you $57.00. The correct price is $50.00. You see how ** is ripping customers off!! ** does NOT fully explain the tire protection plan. There is a $50.00 charge if your tire is not fixable for wheel balancing etc. but ** will charge you $57.00. ** also does NOT honor manufacturer's defects!! After a heated argument ** finally decided to honor the manufactures defect. WHY DIDN’T HE HONOR THE MANUFACTURER'S DEFECT IN THE FIRST PLACE? ** loves to argue with customers and rip them off.

EDIT: when the four tires were replaced the sensor light immediately came on (I did not move my car an inch) — SO HOW COULD I HAVE RUN OVER AN OBJECT CAUSING THE TIRE TO GO FLAT?…this is an absolutely false accusation by **, this points towards a manufacturer’s defect. ** should have immediately taken the vehicle back to the technician who replaced the tire and asked him to check the tires for any leaks — instead ** quickly diagnosed the problem himself that the right front sensor needed replacement which was a false diagnosis — Cost to fix = $65.00, he specifically told me I could drive around and should not have any problems.

After driving approximately three hours with the sensor light still on, I heard a loud noise from my left rear tire, l stopped my vehicle for flat tire and had it replaced with the spare. Thank God I did NOT get involved in an accident, my car swaying from side to side! Once again the problem began in the parking lot of Big O Tires, when replacing all four tires ONE OF THE TIRES HAD A MANUFACTURER'S DEFECT and that’s the reason the sensor went off, but I was told otherwise I had a faulty right front sensor by **. When the defective tire was replaced by a good tire the sensor light did not come back on again, I was sold a Manufacturers Defect tire and there was NOTHING WRONG with the right front sensor. It was the rear left rear tire that had the manufacturers defect and that’s what triggered the sensor.

Question Arises: why did the tire sensor light immediately come on after the four tires were replaced, but l did not move an inch, so how could l have run over something? Could it be possible there was a sharp object lying inside the shop/parking lot area which caused the tire to explode? Could it also be possible that this tire was a manufacturers defect or simply a mix up of bad tires with good tires?

Of course it was misdiagnosed by ** for a faulty right sensor — a gross negligence on Big O Tires and the manufacturer — Big O Tires should have immediately checked all four tires for any leaks when the sensor went off in their parking lot. ** failed to understand me! What part doesn’t he understand about manufacturers defect? ** loves to argue with customers telling them “NEVER to come back to the store”. Why did ** decide to charge me $57.00 and ** charged me approximately $29.00 for the first blowout. It is very frustrating to explain to them about a manufacturer’s defective. If Big O Tires can “PROVE” in writing that I had run over an object which caused the tire to EXPLODE, I will be more than happy to pay the $50.00 deductible.

Took my son's truck to get serviced. They came back with what it needed to fix the AC with the verbiage "do this and we will have your AC ice cold before you leave". It was a $300 fix so I said go ahead. It did not fix the AC and now they want $1,400 for a compressor. I called the manager Jeff at the Phx location on Cave Creek.

After multiple times of him explaining how AC needs to be looked at I had to cut him off and say that's not the issue. I'm not even upset it needs something else but I do want you to refund me the $300 and give me a good price on the compressor as a fix to this problem. His response was "I'm not going to do that". He did admit his guy shouldn't have said that but offered no solution for the unkept promise. I felt I was more than fair as I wasn't holding him to the commitment that this truck should have the "ice cold air". I just asked him to refund the $300 vs them eating the $1,400 it now needs since their recommendation did not fix the truck as they said it would.

This is the second issue I have had there. I took my work truck there after I hit a pothole. It had a bad vibration making it undriveable. I took a call saying it needed suspension work to fix the issue but he also recommended tires. I said if the suspension is the vibration issue lets start there. I picked the truck up that night and didn't make it a mile before you could easily tell the vibration was exactly the same as drop off. When I called Tim said the tires were the issue. I said, "Why did we do the suspension then when I brought it to you for the vibration?" On that occasion again I wasn't upset. I just asked Tim to give me a fair price on the tires for the issue. Tim did and I had new tires on the truck the next day fixing the original issue. All I asked for was a fair resolution to the issue and it solved the problem.

I have probably spent 6k at this location on my trucks last year and they won't fix their own $300 mistake! As timing would have it I probably need another 3-4k in servicing on these trucks right now but I will have to take my business elsewhere. This is terrible problem solving buy Big O. ON top of that I filed a complaint with their customer service department with them telling me I would have a return call within 24 hours. That is now 48 hours ago and if you try to call that number it just hangs up on you. I would advise you to take your business elsewhere as they will not stand behind their work!

This is one of the worst experiences I've had with Big O. First off I go in and they have the wrong tires installed on my rims and I let them know so they can change those out and then I realized that they charged me more money than they were supposed to and did not honor my price match guarantee or military discount. Then I get my rims back to find out they were totally marred up.

The owner (Jay Edwards) wanted to buff it out but as you can tell by the pictures it's scratched to the metal of the rims. They then proceeded to give me a hard time about everything when it was their fault! I asked for a discount on the tires after they destroyed my rims in which they refuse and told me that they made everything right by taking my rims and getting them touched up painted. (In which case I still have my rims. They never touched them up.) They can keep their tires. I will never do business with them again and I am working with corporate right now to get this resolved.

I have used this Big O location for many years but my recent experiences have changed my mind for good. I had a coolant leak in November '24 and after checking my Audi A5 they said I needed a new water pump. I had them complete the service and the price $1,400, seemed reasonable. Skip forward a few weeks and I am seeing coolant in my garage again. I took it back in only to have them tell me now my that it needs two radiator hoses and this will cost $800! I know that at least one of those hoses had to come off to replace the water pump so I questioned if I really needed a water pump. They wouldn't budge or work with me so I took my car to two different mechanics.

The first, Foothill Tire Pros, could have handled the hoses but they said they were not the problem and they were not equipped to delve into the issue further. They believe the leak was near the water pump. After all their work, they charged me $0!! SHOUT OUT TO THEM!! So I took it to another Old Fashioned Service. They pressure tested the system for over an hour and found the leak originated at a sensor located on the water pump housing. Over $600 later I have my car in good working order again thanks to them! If I had let Big O service the hoses I would have spent $800 for no reason! I went back to Big O to discuss this with them. The manager said he trusts their mechanic who has been with them over 25 years and he stands behind what they did. WELL, OBVIOUSLY, I DON'T!!! Be careful at Big O 2002 E 3300 S!!

We had a tire failure on our truck on a road trip through remote SE Oregon. We drove into Winnemucca NV on our spare. Three of the tires were fine, but, getting a bit thin. Once we consulted with Big O there, since we were on a long trip, we agreed to purchase all 4 new. They were a significant and EXPENSIVE upgrade, but were much better suited to the terrain we travel, and just better overall handling for our truck/camper. They set us back $2,495.00. That's a chunk of change for retirees on a fixed income.

At the time of purchase, I was advised to take advantage of the "free rotation and balancing" included when I returned home. I tried to do so this week, without success. Despite living in a metro area with over 2.5 million people, all the Big O stores in Portland Oregon are non-existent. Not long ago, there were. In fact until fairly recently, there was one less than 4 miles from our home. Now the closest one is in Roseburg Oregon, over 200 miles away.

Knowing that these "free" services are built into tire pricing, I wrongly assumed that Big O would have a relationship with local installers that would provide the service. Nope! I called the number listed for warranty services, only to find out that Big O doesn't work directly with warranties; their warranties are serviced by a third-party company. They told me the only way I'd get it done for free was to travel to Roseburg.

That answer was unsatisfactory. I went back to the Big O site, and called corporate customer care. The greeting was, "Thanks for calling Midas," which confused me. Apparently, Midas owns Big O. The agent took my info and a copy of my invoice, and promptly sent it on to corporate. They responded similarly to the warranty company, stating that because I didn't purchase additional coverage for R and B, I'd have to cover the cost myself. But, because they "care," they offered me a $25.00 gift certificate for my trouble.

First, I was never offered additional cost coverage at the time of purchase. I would have been surprised to have to pay more for a simple service that most if not all other tire stores offer free with purchase, like Costco, and Les Schwab, and Discount Tire. I've purchased from all of them in the past, and R and B was always part of the deal; not so with Big O.

In researching the cost of rotation and balancing services in my area, the estimates run from $78-$99. The $25.00 "gift" certificate won't cover a significant portion of ONE rotation, let alone any subsequent ones. Big O is a Big ZERO as far as I'm concerned. I will NEVER purchase a Midas or Big O product or service again, and anyone considering a purchase, especially with Big Zero, should proceed with extreme caution and care. They are definitely not who or what they claim to be.

What’s unacceptable is that this extra cost was not communicated to me before the service began. Had I known about this hidden fee, I would never have proceeded. This feels like a bait-and-switch tactic, and frankly, it wasted both my time and money. I’m incredibly disappointed and expect better transparency and honesty from a professional business. I received a quote for winter tires for 444.85 $. But when I came to store a week later and installed exactly the same type of tires the price was already 573.55 $. They said that those tires doesn't exist anymore and they will need to install some other tires (that's why I agreed...). But when I came home and compared to the quote it was the same name of tires, but for some reason they were different price even though the quote valid for 30 days. I have both, quote and receipt. I was coming there for 6 years with 2 cars... At that point you lost a customer!

Bought 2 new tires about 4 months ago and drove very little. One tire blew out and the other went bald. Contacted them and they said they will not cover anything. Awful service, I will not be returning.

First off my experience was horrible! Big O Tires in Enid Oklahoma scratched my rim and put it down so I couldn't see it. And when I did see it I took it back up there just to argue with manager. Listening to him tell me it was a curb check! He quit before he filed my claim and went back to Toyota dealership in Enid.

I have taken all my cars to Big O for years and in the past always received excellent service. However since they sold it to new owners the service has declined significantly. I will be looking for a new place to take my car.
