    Reviewed Feb. 6, 2026

We have spent the better part of the last year trying to come to a resolution privately with SEG. This year we experienced a leak in our roof, under the solar panels. SEG came out, the tech inspected the area and emptied three tubes of black caulking into the area but claimed they didn’t see any damage they would have caused. This did raise some red flags for us. This whole exchange was odd it came across as trying to hide something. A roofer came out and documented that the foot of the solar panels had damaged the flashing and jarred the Ohagan vent on our roof causing the leak and thousands of Dollars worth of damage. Water had come in and frozen over and over causing the space where water entered to expand until it was a very big problem. This has put my 9 year old medically complex child out of a bedroom.

After being provided a full report from the roofer SEG has said they will make it right. As requested Brian ** has been provided the invoices from our abatement and personal property loss (what our insurance has paid out this far no including rebuild and the deductible we paid for the work to be done). SEG came out at the end of May to investigate and caulked the roof. *We first made Brian aware of the cause on June 17th after our roofer came out. Brian was also presented with a full report from our roofer. My husband had a phone call with Brian on August 1st, we followed up by email with our invoices from remediation. We followed up again on August 11th giving Brian until the end of business on the 15th for a response.

Brian responded on August 14th stating his intention was to make this a priority to be done ASAP. We followed up on September 4th with no response from Brian. We followed up again on September 19th expressing our frustration and asking for a resolution plan to be presented to us in writing by the end of business on Friday September 26th. We spoke to the receptionist who continues to states we are a priority and it is being worked on. That was one month ago. We have heard nothing since. This has not happened and now we are seeking help in coming to this resolution as it has not been a priority to Brian and Sustainable Energy group. Following up we were hands off to Mal who promised to make this right. We would receive repayment in two payments one week apart in November 2025. We received one payment. The next payments were broken into a little here a little there.

Finally after chasing Mal for three months we were promised full payment by today. We received half. And I had to call to find out why, they weren’t communicating. This is unacceptable! A year to the day of this room flooding and I am STILL fighting for what is owed to us. Brian won’t call back, Mail won’t call back. Poor Kendal in the office just gets to field my phone calls! If I owed a business money it would be expected to be pain in time and in full. This is an agreed upon payment, and SEG has not held up their end of this agreement! I call, they hide. I write, they ignore. Do not understand any circumstances trust SEG with your solar needs. They are great until they get your money then they are awful!
