Suntria was amazing to work with. From the contract signing to the installation it was all super smooth. I think majority of people complaining do not realize that permitting and connection is not up to suntria itself as a solar company/ solar installer. It's the city/ jurisdiction YOUR house falls under. I know this because I work at my municipal and was already aware that these get delayed to all hell. But even if I wasn't the sales rep I had and the project manager both made sure I was made aware of this. So, long story short; when it comes to the suntria doing it's job as a solar company I was very satisfied with the outcome!

Very happy with my choice to go with Suntria. We met with 2 other companies and one was cheaper, one was more expensive, but no one had clearer answers than our rep Steven. Plus the 30-year warranty was something they only had. It's only been 2 months but our first two bills from FPL were less than $25 (used to be $200+) so it seems like it's working.

We were informed Bryce ** the sales guy we could not do solar at this time because we had about 20k in debt we had to take care of first. He told us that they could roll that debt into the solar cost which would have lower interest. We informed him that IF that was possible we could make this all work. He then came back about a week later stating that he had underbid the solar install, but that it was ok it was already done. Then a week later he came back and stated that they couldn't do 20k. That they could only do 14k. We thought about it and said it would be tight but we could make it work. We waited and waited for the check. The panels were installed and a trench in the back yard was not filled, never seen the installer again. I pestered him and let him know we could not make these payments if we couldn't consolidate all this. He gave some excuses. I called Suntria several times trying to talk to the project manager, she never called us back.

I requested an itemized document to show what we paid for, Bryce and Suntria refused to provide that to us. I called Bryce several times. The last time we talked strangely the call kept dropping. So then we text, he said the check was sent to the shop, no mention of the amount of the check. We finally received the check from a Samatha W and it was for 8880.00 I guess was his wife or girlfriend. We freaked. I called him again calls were dropped I text him and Bryce blamed me because he thought I was confused about the tax incentive. I informed him we had bought solar before on another house we had several years earlier and we knew how the tax break worked. I was losing my patience. We contacted the loan servicer, they tried to get Suntria to call us and work with us. The guy I was talking to stated it looked like Bryce kept the money we were supposed to get.

I agreed and told him about Bryce underbidding the install that convinced us that was what happend. I called Suntria again several times no call backs not even from a manager, they avoided calling me back. Bryce stopped texting me and will not answer my calls. So we are looking at a BK and I don't know how that works. We are 60 years old and I lost my job so we are in a bad way even if we didn't have this loan. Idon'tt have the money to pay an attorney and I'm not so sure Suntria will be around much longer especially since the sitting president gutted all tax incentives for renewable energy after the end of this year. I contacted another guy in town who bought solar from them. His experience was almost the same but they oversold him panels and refuse to help him with any issues after the install. Stay away from them especially if the conman Bryce is involved. **

This company will canvas your neighborhood with promises and gift cards that compel you to sign a contract. They have little knowledge of how the whole deal works in your community and with the power companies holding all the cards. A hard sell built on false narratives that tug on your sense of identity and feelings of connecting with a human being that cares about you and our earth. In reality, it’s not about helping our environment or you. The minute you go for alternative opinions, they get defensive while you are locked into an agreement you were never given the adequate space to research. Do not talk to them without consulting people you trust… or get comfortable with spending 3K for just trying to be an informed consumer. That’s a real experience that just happened to us.

That flat out lied to me. Do not buy a solar system as they will lie to you. I'm paying higher electric bills than I ever did before when they told me that it would dramatically save on my electric bill now.

Stay away from solar and Suntria in particular. They expect you to be their tech support for their equipment. You can't get in touch with anyone until you get upset with them. They do not communicate what is going on with your install. You never know what's done and what's not. Then they rope you into a 25 year contract you can't possibly get out of then leave you hanging when you need support. They only communicate by text message and don't respond when you reply or ask simple questions. It's like a black hole. Info goes in, nothing comes out. If you are bent on solar, choose any other company than Suntria. They don't need to be in business.

I purchased a solar system from Suntria in March 2024, with the system going live in April. My contract clearly stated I’d see a 74% offset in energy usage; however, when I was sold the system, the salesperson claimed it would be 84% offset, which is an outright bait-and-switch tactic. The reality? I’m only seeing 30% offset—less than half of what was promised on paper and far from what the salesperson pitched. For months, I’ve jumped through every hoop they put in front of me—sending electric bills, production data, you name it. I even confirmed with Idaho Power that my bills accurately reflect solar production, which shows the system cannot deliver the offset stated in the contract.

Communication with Suntria has been abysmal:

Repeated requests for a solution have gone nowhere.
They never connect me with management or provide direct contact information.
I’ve reached out via corporate contact forms, but received no meaningful response.
A customer service rep admitted the system is underproducing, then promptly stopped offering any real help.
My original salesperson’s email now bounces back—so either they quit or were let go.

I’m extremely frustrated and concerned they’re delaying until the system hits its one-year mark, at which point I’d lose critical leverage to have this fixed.

      Potential Buyers, Take Note:

Double-check the size of the system you’re being sold—compare their estimates with a trusted third party or your utility company.
Read every line of your contract and know exactly what happens if production promises aren’t met.
Demand clear communication channels from the outset—ask for management contact info in writing.
Research customer reviews (like this one) before signing any agreements.

Given my experience, I cannot recommend Suntria at this time. If you’re considering solar, please proceed with caution. I’m sharing this in the hope that others avoid a similar ordeal—and that Suntria steps up to correct what’s gone wrong.

The installers disrespect property. The installer put a dent in my dryer when accessing my attic. I offered to move it, but he declined. Customer service refuses to resolve the issue. They are not responding to my messages. A installer left the cover off of my breaker box. They trampled flowers beside my house. They left the gate open to my backyard and let out my dog.
